Mari smiled happily to him, kind of wading over to him once he was in the water, her hands lightly on his back so that she was sort of guiding him. She struggled to touch the floor when it got to his shoulders, so kind of ended up using him to keep herself afloat, since he was touching the floor. "My son takes after me, what can I say?" She asked with a bit of a chuckle. She knew he might be apprehensive, since he couldn't see very well... but he always used to love the water and messing about, so this should be fun. "Stand still, I can't touch the floor anymore!" She yelped to him with a bit of a chuckle.

Sage let the girl guide him around for a moment before humming lightly and nodding. "He acts like you a lot," he mused. "Some girl is gonna get so lucky one day," he mused happily, really quite proud of his boy already. He snickered when she said she couldn't reach anymore, and backed up so she could reach. Water ran down the base of his neck and shoulders, and he short of moved around so he was facing Mari with a happy grin

Mari grinned happily in response to him, and nodded enthusiastically. She was proud of the little child... granted, he wasn't very old, but she couldn't help but think he was absolutely perfect in every way possible. He looked just like Sage, with a mix of their personality... he had Sages boldness with her rather friendly attitude, and he was really turning into the most wonderful person. And she was going to make life as easy for him as she possibly could... he deserved it. "I think so too," she chirped to him lightly. She wrapped her arms around the back of his neck happily once she was touching the ground a bit more comfortably, and moved to kind of flick a bit of water up at him playfully.

Sage hummed happily and nodded in response to her comment, sort of nestling into her slightly as best he could without causing both of them to fall over. He let out a slight squeak of surprise when he felt the water land on his skin, then sort of just folded his legs under him to dunk them both under the waters surface, coming back up only a second later, a rather satisfied grin on his face, chuckling to himself. He was still more than happy to play around, though he'd turned around once they got back up, pressing a quick kiss to Maris now very wet face, an amused rumble still working in his throat.

Mark smiled to him before shaking her head, obviously a bit amused while he nestled into her. She didn't expect to be dunked under the water, and kind of gasped before the water silenced the sound. She wrapped herself around him once they came back up, her chest sort of heaving as she scrambled for both a breath and tried not to laugh. She wrapped her legs around him and hurried to cling onto him so that he was the only one touching the ground. "Sage!" She squeaked to him with a small laugh. "Why?" Was all she could manage as she brushed her hair back and out of her face again.

Sage hummed in amusement to her comment before pecking her again. "why not," he chirped. "you splashed me first," he giggled, sounding a bit like a young child arguing with a sibling, though he was obviously just screwing about. He wrapped his arms around her, sort of holding onto her, even though she was securely fastened around him even without him holding her. But he liked to act like he was holding her anyway ....because out of the water, she'd probably be too heavy for him right now. Not that she was heavy ...he just want healed up yet. He couldn't help but snicker at her face though....and he had to admit, his nerves about the river were sort of slowly dissolving, though he was conscious that he could trip or it could get deeper at any moment, so he made sure to stay where he knew he'd be alright.

Mari wrinkled her nose at him before pouting at him. "I didn't dunk you under the water!" She retorted with a bit of a chuckle. She kind of moved to swipe his hair out of his face, really just messing around a little bit. "There, I can see your face now!" She mused lighrly. "I'm gonna cut it when I get home," she teased the boy lightly. It was nice to be held with by him... she hadn't been in a while, and she knew there were reasons, but it was nice all the same. She moved a little so that she was looking down at him a bit before pressing a slightly longer kiss to his lips, really just happy with how peaceful she was feeling right then.

Sage chuckled again and grinned over at her. "That doesn't matter," he chirped lightly. "besides, you were already wet," he added with a shrug, eyes still glittering mischievously. He chuckled again when she pushed his hair out of his face and hummed slightly. "you're so mean to me," he huffed, though they both knew a haircut at some point would be best. He hummed happily when she moved to press her lips against his, and he tilted his head back so he could kiss her back this time too.

Mari wrinkled her nose at him before hugging out a breath. "I think you're trying to suffocate me!" She told him with a small breath. She wrinkled her nose at him, though. "Me? Mean?! I just kissed you?" She complained before wrapping herself a little bit tighter to him. "Or maybe I should just sip the kisses all together. That'd make you happy, I'm sure," she teased him lightly as she cocked her head... I had been a while since she'd teased him like this... and really, what was the harm in it? They both enjoyed themselves plenty.

Sage snorted in response to her comments, chuckling slightly as she protested. "I said that before you kissed me," he protested happily. He gasped in fake offense when she said she'd stop the kisses and gave her a pout. "Well fine then, that means I can do this," he mused, prying her off of him and dropping her in the water, scooting away from her, his face taking on a rather daring and mischievous look. He did hope she chased him though...it was an excuse to kiss her again once she did catch him.
