At the sound of the floorboards creaking, Mari couldn't stop her little chuckle before quickly swapping outfits... she'd done this before, on their honeymoon... but that was a few years back now, and she wasn't sure if he'd even remember. It had been fun, though, but she supposed the whole thing was fun... And, today was a day to relax a little, in their own house which they hadn't really done, and she sort of felt like it was the kind of thing they'd needed about now. So this'd be nice, right? And they had the whole place to themselves, so they might as well.

Sage had sort of shuffled down the stairs admittedly a bit slowly, Amber scampering off once he reached the kitchen. "What's for-" he stopped talking when he caught a glimpse of Mari though, and he admittedly froze in shock for a moment before bursting out laughing. He could remember the time they'd done this before...and he found it all rather amusing. Plus, he certainly hadn't expected to come down to dinner for this either. Then he got an idea himself and he scampered back off to the bedroom as quickly as possible, a wide grin growing on his face. He grabbed a thin, long blanket from the closet and undressed before wrapping the blanket around himself loosely, like the old paintings he'd seen of Romans and things before heading back downstairs, still laughing to himself about the whole situation. Hopefully, Mari would be as amused as he was.

Mari couldn't stop her stifled giggles when the boy started to laugh, her flush bright on her cheeks, and grin huge. "What?!" She asked with a laugh, as she watched him scamper off... good, at least he was laughing. She'd hoped he'd get at least a little bit of a kick out of it. She was a little confused as to why he'd ran off, though, but when she saw him again she couldn't stop her cackles. She grinned at him before padding over and kind of tugging the makeshift robe he'd made. "What on earth are you doing," she mused lightly to him, her smile still very apparent.

Sage couldn't help the grin that stretched across his face when Mari saw him and started to laugh as well. "Having fun," he chirped, sort of wheezing it out between laughter. He leaned forward to press a quick kiss to the girls lips, still finding the whole situation just overly amusing. "You're not the only one who can dress up like that," he mused lightly, voice laced with amusement. The whole thing was absolutely rediculous...but they were still sort of young yet, and he still acted like a kid pretty often, if he was being honest. So having a day to just play around was nice....very nice. And he was definitely going to take advantage of it. Especially if it resulted in things like ...well, this.

Mari chuckled happily to the boy before giving a happy little smile at his kiss. "Loads of fun," she grinned as she dipped her finger in a bowl that still had a bunch of flour in it and flicked it up at him. She was still struggling to stop her giggles as she moved to rest her forehead on his shoulder. It was safe to say that she was... amused, to say the least. "Never said I was!" She retorted with a chuckle, going to peck his lips again. "Just thought it was funny," she mused to him. She turned around to grab the plates before grinning at him. "Anyway, we've got chicken for dinner!" She chirped to him, her rosy cheeks puffing up as her lips curved into a bigger grin.

Sage sort of just snickered at her comment, and then sort of half tried to avoid the flour she'd tossed in his direction, though it was sort of hard to avoid so he ended up with flour over a shoulder. Which he didn't really mind. He hummed happily at her other comment though, and kissed her back happily before grinning in response to her comment about dinner. "What if I'm not hungry for actual food," he hummed, eyes glittering as he reached for a plate. She'd know what he meant by that...and while he was absolutely hungry for dinner, he could joke around about this. Especially since they were both dressed in a way that left really very little to the imagination.

Mari hummed softly to the boy at his comments before cocking her head curiosly, putting her plate down on the table. "Hmm, and what exactly are you craving, then?" She asked in a slightly more sultry tone. She knew what he meant, of course she did, but she was finding this all very amusing... and she was happy about it all. Sage seemed a bit livelier now, and it did seem to make her really very happy. They did look very strange to anyone who was looking in on them, but no one would be, and she didn't care otherwise. They were enjoying themselves, and making fun of it, which she really couldn't be happier about as of then.

Sage hummed as if in pretend thought and sat down at the table. "Maybe it's you," he mused lightly. Then he chuckled and tossed a piece of chicken his mouth and chewing happily. He was hungry...and the chicken was really very good. But he also definitely wanted to mess around some more, so he ate rather quickly after that, though not quickly enough to wear himself out. He was keenly aware he wouldn't have as much energy as normally, so he was saving it a little bit for later. Mari would be gentle though...well, gentle as she always was, and he knew that. She was well aware of his condition too, and once he wore down he knew she'd recognize that and relax. But for now, he had plenty of energy, and he was looking forward to messing around.

Mari couldn't stop her childish chuckle at his comment. "Maybe?" She repeated with a small giggle. "Is that really all?" She mused joking before going to pick up her now empty plate and wash off, then took Sages off him to wrap up for later.... he'd probably be wanting it. She hummed softly as she washed up before looking over her at him, kind of looking him up and down with a small chuckle. "What's the inspiration for this gorgeous blanket outfit of yours," she muted with a bit of a giggle... she did find this awfully amusing. She felt like she'd just met him again... it was easy to let the romance die out after a while, or whatever you'd call this, playfulness if you'd prefer it, but she didn't want to let that happen... she enjoyed it the way it was.

Sage chuckled lightly and grinned over at her. "It's much less of a maybe now that I've eaten dinner," he snickered lightly before grinning rather sheepishly at her comment about the blanket. He sort of shrugged and waved his hand. "Paintings here and there," he mused lightly. "It was the best I could think of," he chuckled, shaking his head in a rather amused manner, lounging back in his chair happily. Really, the whole situation was just getting better and better....so maybe they should take a day like this just a little bit more often. Or at least mess around a bit once the kids were in bed, once he was healed and could stay awake that long anyway.
