Sage really was quite happy to collapse into a chair once he got to the kitchen. He nodded happily in response to her comments though, chuckling lightly at her joke. "Imagine that," he mused lightly, still just joking around. He wished he could have helped her set up or something, but working out at the barn had been exhausting, and so had walking back and forth been. So he was completely wiped out. But it would be nice to talk with the family for a bit. Besides....dinner looked and smelled delicious. Mari always made yummy things, but this looked especially good. Well, that may have been because he was really hungry, but whatever. He took his plate happily, pecking her on the cheek when she settled down next to him.

Mari smiled softly when he kissed her, and moved to start eating happily. Luther settled himself down after a little while and going to wash his hands, too. A happy sounding hun rose from his throat at the smell of their dinner, so plopped down in the chair with a grin across his face. "Looks good, thanks Em," he chirped to his sister, to which she just shrugged and smiled sheepishly. It was good, though, she could admit that. "Horses all okay?" She asked after a few minutes of quiet.

Sage dug into his food once he'd gotten hold of a plate, and had admittedly gone through like half the plate before he piped up to add to the conversation, nodding in response to her comment. "Snowballs ready to pop out a foal any minute," he chirped happily. "And three of the other mares are also nearing their due date." He was definitely excited about it all...nervous too, of course, since he knew what could go wrong, but mostly excited. All of these horses were proven broods, and were experienced at all this. Plus...well, they'd be Chaos's babies. It was sort of like having grandkids already. He was quite fond of all the mares too, obviously, but chaos was his best friend. Soon enough though, he went back to eating and had mostly cleaned his plate soon enough. Then it was just the matter of staying awake long enough to get to bed once Anthony left.

Mari grinned happily as she listened to her husband chat, and soon enough Anthony was talking about possible names for the new foals. They were all awful, but it was interesting to hear about, for sure. It was nice to see the two of them so pumped up about all of this, too. And Sage had eaten most of his food... which was a bit of a win to her. Soon enough, though, they'd all finished up and Anthony thanked them before heading home... she took all the dishes to clear up happily, humming a bit of a tune as she washed up. "God, I can't wait to get some sleep," she huffed with a bit of a chuckle once she'd finished up.

Sage had had a nice time pondering over names for the foals with Anthony. None of them would probably work very well, but it was fun to play around anyway with it. Soon enough though, Anthony was gone and he was waiting for Mari to finish cleaning. He would have helped her, except he was drifting off just sitting there, so he'd probably just make things more difficult for her if he attempted to help. He nodded with a yawn in response to her comments, humming in agreement. "sleep sounds wonderful," he sort of half slurred in response, laying on the table half asleep.

Mari hummed gently to the boy before giving a small smile. She wandered over to the boy and wrapped her arms under his with a chuckle. "Come on, go get showers and head to bed sleepy bum," she joked before kind of hoisting him up with a chuckle. "But I'm showering first. See you up there, hm?" She hummed before pottering off to go get in the shower... she wasn't there for long before getting out and drying off before putting one of Sages old tees on to sleep in before going to flop down in the bed with a heavy sigh.

Sage chuckled lightly at her comment before groaning when she stole the shower. He slowly made his way up the stairs after a bit though, huffing out a breath as his sore muscles protested the stairs. He got into the shower soon enough, sliding in as Mari slid out, and sort of just stood there for a bit before washing up quickly and getting out, flopping onto the bed next to Mari with a grunt. "I'll give you a back massage tomorrow morning," he hummed. "If I do it now I might pass out on top of you," he chuckled.

Mari shook her head when she felt him flop on the mattress and gave a small laugh. "I wouldn't be able to appreciate it very much now anyway," she mused before shaking her head. "I best wake up to a massage tomorrow, though," she joked softly to him. She hugged into her pillow before giving a happy little hun before slowly drifting off to sleep, more than happy to curl up under the covers, so it didn't take long for her to black out.

Sage chuckled slightly at her comment and nodded with a soft hum, curling up against her and wrapping his arms around her happily, nestling his nose in the crook of her neck happily. He hummed in agreement to her comment about the following morning, and had passed out soon after that, thankful for the warm and really very cozy bed. He'd done a lot today, and he was definitely very tired.

Mari slept peacefully, though was admittedly very happy when she felt Sage against her. She did find that she couldn't actually sleep very well without him... she didn't know why. She hadn't spent much time without him over the last few years, so she supposed he'd just become a creature comfort of sorts. It was nice, she thought at least. And their own house... it was lovely. Their whole life was, minus a few... blips.
