Sage hummed lightly in agreement to her comment, nodding along with it. "Yeah," he mused, shrugging slightly. It could be worse, he supposed.....but even so he just didn't have the energy or motivation to do anything much today. He was sort of just absentmindedly finishing the drawing at this point. He was glad Mari came back before he'd finished though, especially since the kids were still asleep. Being alone still made him uneasy whenever he felt like this, especially with only one eye. He'd gotten better at moving around as he's done more, but he still definitely wasn't used to it at all. He hummed lightly when she mentioned the drawing and frowned slightly. "My hands are still too shaky," he huffed, though he set it down to take and end of the blanket she'd had to slip under it and curl up with her. Now that he thought about it, he was rather cold.

Mari smiled lightly when he curled up with her, and sort of moved to push him back down on the couch, and sort of rested her head on his chest once he'd gotten comfortable. She knew he wasn't feeling very good... she knew he liked being able to get up and do things, but she didn't mind doing the odd jobs around the house... he was still healing after all, still getting used to his sight, and he was slowly getting better. He was eating full meals, drinking and sleeping so she saw that as a win... he hadn't had any nightmares recently, either. "Don't be so hard on yourself, it looks fine," she told him gently.

Sage let her push him over and then curled up with her once they'd settled onto the couch. It was nice to just lay there with her, and let his brain unwind a bit. He hadn't realized how...uptight he'd gotten sitting there with just himself. His mind had wandered to places he really didnt have the energy to deal with as of then. "You're biased, you're required to say it looks good," he grumbled, though the comment did make him feel a bit better about himself, and it probably showed. Even so, he sort of just closed his eyes to rest, just glad she was back and he was warm and comfortable now. He sort of drifted in and out of that half awake and half asleep stage for a while before drifting off into a bit of deeper sleep, just sort of exhausted from being so uptight, he supposed.

Mari rolled her eyes at his comment, and sort of moved to wrap her arm around his side as she let out a heavy breath and settled on his chest happily. "I'd tell you if it was awful," she told him with a small chuckle, but by then he was already dozing off to sleep... well, at least he was settled now... he'd seemed so worried before, and she wasn't sure why. He just got like that from time to time, she supposed, and it was alright. He'd been better recently, though... so she did sort of hope that he'd get back to normal sooner rather than later.

Sage sort of hummed in response to her comment, since he'd heard her but hadn't really processed what she'd said. It was a quiet hum...she'd probably know he even made a noise only because she was laying on his chest, but even so, he at least attempted to respond to her. He had to admit though, it was nice, being able to just rest with her. Maybe it was a little silly to feel like he needed her protection...but he did, and he knew she wouldn't judge him for it.

Mark soon enough started to slip into a deep sleep... it was odd, she was normally so full of life during the day, but it was warm under here, and Sages hold was comforting, and so were the slow ride and falls of his breath... it was nice, it was. She knew he was feeling sorta shitty, but he'd start to feel better later on, she was sure of that much at least, but it had been so long since he'd been so down, and it did sorta worry her... but oh well, they were comfortable for now, and the peace was definitely needed.

Sage was more than happy to rest there for a while until he woke to Silas poking him again, asking for a snack. Mari was still asleep, so he quietly told Silas to go grab a piece for fruit from the fruit basket, the boy skipping off to do so. Sage settled back down with Mari contentedly, and chuckled slightly when Silas came back with some berries in a bowl and crawled into their little pile. He wrapped some of the blanket around the boy, who seemed happy to snuggle and eat at the same time. It did seem nice, he supposed. Amber had curled up by his head some time after he'd fallen asleep too, so they were all curled up together. Well, with the exception of Liz, who was still curled up in her crib in her room. But this was definitely nice. Silas moved to curl up on his chest once he'd finished eating too, so sage sort of just wrapped his arms around both him and Mari happily, sliding deeper into the blanket and closing his eyes again once Silas was all settled in.

Mari groaned softly to the boy when she felt him shift, but let out a breath and settled back down after a little bit. She slept happily, though she'd kind of been shoved off her husbands chest by her son, but was comfortable all the same... she felt his arms around her, and that was enough to be completely honest. She was in a pretty deep sleep by now... and in truth she would probably sleep until later this eventing. She hadn't realised how tired she was until she'd actually sat down, so she was happy to rest.

Sage eventually drifted off to sleep again, though he woke up to Silas begging him to make dinner. He wasnt exceptionally hungry, but he supposed Silas wasn't feeling quite as down as he was. Mari was still very much asleep, so he sighed and moved to put something quick together, sliding out of the blanket and pecking the side of her head gently before moving to the kitchen, taking another blanket to wrap around him as he went since he was cold. He grabbed some leftover roast from the fridge and warmed that up for the boy, then moved to get Liz and bring her in too.

Mari kind of cave a half conscious hum when she felt him move, but grabbed the blanket and curled into it happily. She kind of drifted back off, but when the smell of the roast filled the room she sort of woke up a little bit, giving small stretch before sitting up slowly and looking around the room quietly. She called through quietly asking what they were doing before settling down again.
