Sage heard Mari call over from the other room and scooped up a plate in one hand, balancing her drink on her plate as well, carrying Liz on his hip in his other hand and wandered into the living room to slide her things on the table. He supposed his old waiting habits from the tavern came helpful at times like these. "Silas wanted dinner," he hummed lightly. "I just warmed up leftovers....decided not to repeat this morning," he mused with a sort of shrug. "Eat when you feel like it. I already ate," he told her. It wasn't a total lie....he'd had a few bites. As in like two small bites. But it was still a few bites. He felt sorta bad about it, but it wasn't really a lie and he didn't want her to worry too much.

Mari cocked her head at Sage when he came in, but gave a small chuckle when he came over and took the plate happily. "You're so good," she hummed happily to him, and babbled s few senseless words to Liz before getting comfy on the couch again. She slowly started to eat and started to sip on the drink happily. She looked over to Liz with a small hun once she'd finished. "Give me the baby," she chirped to him, wanting to giver her little girl a bit of attention... she felt like she hadn't seen her in ages.

Sage sort of chuckled at her comment, plopping down next to her with a weary sigh after checking to make sure Silas was still alright to finish his food and set his plate on the counter. He sort of just settled down next to Mari, playing with Liz enough to keep her occupied, though his mind was running elsewhere. He handed her over to Mari though, when she asked for her, taking the opportunity to wrap his blanket tighter around himself. That was, u til Silas came flying into the living room and jumped onto his lap. He let out a grunt before sighing and moving so Silas could come under the blanket with him. Though, the boy was rather cold. He didn't mind snuggling, of course.

Mari took the child happily, giving her a little peck to the forehead before occupying her with raspberries and little pokes to the stomach to get a few giggles out of her. She'd gotten so big... starting to babble little words to them and chewing on pretty much everything she could find. Still, the girl was adorable... she genuinely couldn't find the words do describe how happy she was with their little family. Liz was perfect, Silas was perfect, and despite his arguing on the subject Sage was too. Soon enough, though, the baby started to yawn tiredly, so she scooped her up to put her to bed, then called Silas over so she could tuck him in too and Sage could get a bit of peace without the boy bouncing all over him.

Sage was content to just sit there for a while, even after once Silas was called over to be out to bed. He kissed the boy goodnight before letting him go, the little guy chirping "night daddy," as he ran to Mari. He chuckled for a moment at the boys never ending energy. He sat there for a while before deciding even this was cold, so he wandered up to the bathroom, hoping that a nice long, warm shower would help. He normally wasn't really a fan of bathing, but as of right then, filling the tub up with nice warm water and bubbles from the soap sounded nice. Mari could join, he didn't care....it just felt good to lower himself in once it was ready.

Mari got Liz to sleep after a little while, and though that job seemed like it was getting easier and easier with time. Silas had wandered into his room, so she padded in to tuck him in and started to read him a story before he drifted off. She smiled down at him, and moved to press a light kiss to his forehead before murmuring, "Goodnight buddy," to him and padding off, of course leaving the light on and the door closed the way he liked it. She soon went into their room, though, and started to clear things up before steaming a hot towel for Sage when he got out the bath. It was cold, and the last thing she needed was Sage getting a cold while the weather was changing. She went into the bathroom and gave him a little smile. "Hey handsome," she hummed gently before going to sit on the edge of the bath and sort of plying with his hair. "How're you feeling?" She asked softly to the boy.

Sage opened his eyes to look up at Mari when he heard her wander in, and hummed lightly in response to her comment. "Not cold," he mused after a moment. It was a good thing, he figured...not being cold was certainly nice. He hated the cold, with a special passion. Winter was always hard on him...it was dark and cold and gloomy, and of course it reminded him of his sister's death. There was just a lot of bad memories from the winter piled up...frostbite, having to stay in the tavern each night, trying to sneak Lizzie in at night to stay by the fire and getting caught and dealing with the consequences of that every so often, and....he shook his head slightly, trying to get the thoughts all out of his head. "I hate winter," he grumbled, sort of sinking back into the water a little bit again, though staying with his hair in Maris vacinity. It wasn't wet yet....he hadn't had thewtal energy to actually wash quite yet...so she could still play with it rather easily.

The girl chuckled lightly to him before shaking her head. "I bought a few blankets we can chuck on the bed later on. You'll be cozy," she promised happily. She moved to gently pull the bobble from his hair so that he could wash it when he was ready. She wasn't a fan of winter either... but they had a nice place now. They could put the fire on and wrap up warm, it'd be nice, she was sure of that at least. "I know," she murmured softly to him. "But we can make it nice enough... besides, winter means we can do Christmas for the kids this year... don't you think that'd be nice?" She asked happily to him.

Sage hummed lightly in response to her comment, nodding in agreement. "Blankets are nice," he mused. They were warm at least, which was a definite better thing than being cold. He smiled slightly when she mentioned Christmas and nodded. "I could get excited about that," he mused lightly. He was too...it was only a few months away, and he supposed he should start thinking about gifts, since he has no ideas as of right about then. But for now, he didn't want to think about much. He didn't really trust his brain right then. He sort of wanted to ask Mari to wash his hair, though he didn't want her to do any more work. He could do it himself....it just took more effort to get up and do it than he had right now. The water would become cold soon though....so he knew he had to eventually. But he didn't make a move to shift over from where his head was resting against Mari lightly.

Mari smiled softly to him, and sort of nodded in agreement. "It would be nice. I'll get some lights and things, a tree... we'll get the fire on and it'll be lovely," she chirped to him after a little while. Her playing with hair sort of turned into her pouring little handfuls of water over him gently, and she gave him a small smile after a while of kind of massaging his head. "Come on, let's get you out. I steamed a blanket for you so you'll be warm when you get out," she chirped happily, grabbing the warm towel and holding it up for him.
