Sage sort of clapsed his fingers around hers sleepily when she reached for his hand, groaning in response to her comment. "I fell asleep like two hours ago," he mumbled into her chest, still obviously just very tired. He felt awful...but he assumed that was the lack of sleep more than anything. He certainly hoped he wasn't sick or anything. He hated feeling like this, and being sick only made it worse. Especially since it normally so bad when he did get sick. He really didn't have the energy to deal with that right now, mental or physical. For now, though, he tried to focus on the fact that he was curled up with Mari under a bunch of blankets.

Mari frowned a little bit at his comment, but sighed and went to wrap an arm around his back, softly drawing patters around him. She hated that he felt like this... and she certainly didn't want to disturb his rest. She press a small kiss to the top of his head before resting her head back on the pillow. Hopefully, he'd start feeling better soon... he had to. It was just going to get colder, and it would be an awful time to get sick, especially if he passed something onto the kids... they were still so fragile. She sat with him for a little while before letting out a soft breath. "Get some rest, then... I'll go get the fire on and bring you a tea later on," she promised before slipping out of bed and wandering down the stairs.

Sage sort of just settled into the girl, seeking out her warmth as they lay there. He was tired, but it was nice cuddling, and he wanted to stay awake for that. It was nice. When she moved to leave though, he let out a sort of groan of complaint but then drew the blankets around him again, curling up under them with a shiver, and pulling his head under too after a moment, since even his face was cold. He sort of drifted in and out of sleep after that for a while, sort of just too tired to do anything much, and definitely not willing to get out from under the covers where it was sort of warm.

Mari wandered down the stairs, making some food for herself and the kids... she would have made some for Sage, too, but he never liked eating when he was like his. Plus, he was tried. She did get his meds for him, though, and hopefully something to counteract his sleeplessness. She made the fire, made sure the kids were happy and settled and as promised brought some hot tea for Sage. She placed the tea on the side table, and sort of sat on the bed next to him with a small sigh.

Sage stayed that way for a while, though when he heard Mari come into the room and sit down on the bed next to him, he lifted a small bit of the blanket to peek out at her tiredly. After a moment he sort of just reached for the tea, drawing it back into his little home to drink it, letting the blanket fall again. He did move to lean against Mari though, glad she was here even if he did feel shitty. She made things better, even if she just sat with him.

Mari did crack a smile when he finally leaned on her, and kind of wrapped an arm around his back as she sat there. It was so quiet... the kids had gone off to do whatever they did, and Anthony was in the yard but it was still too peaceful. She sighed and stood up a little. "I know you don't feel well, but I was thinking we go to the castle today? I know the doctor will be missing you, and it'll be nice to see Anya and Att," she prompted to him with a small smile.

Sage sort of just nestled in when he felt her wrap her arm around him. He was sort of content, even though he was so tired he supposed. The tea was good, and definitely warming him up a bit. He finished it soon enough, and at Maris comment he poked his head out of the blanket slightly and set the cup down on the side with a nod and yawn. "It might be nice," he mused. "It'll get me out of bed at least," he muttered. It was odd, he wanted to go do something but he didn't seem to have the energy to get out of bed. It was his mind, he knew that, but that didn't make it any easier to move. This would at least force him to do that. Besides, seeing everyone at the castle would probably be good for his spirits anyway.

Mari kind of gave him smile when he agreed, and moved to peck his cheek once she'd taken the empty cup off him. "You do need to get out of bed babe," she agreed lightly before patting his head. "Is that better? I have the fire on so it should warm up out here," she told him softly as she sort of moved to lay down next to him with her hands on her stomach. "We can head out later if you'd like," she then added to him with a bit of a smile, sort of grateful that she'd managed to at least get him to come with her.

Sage sort of just hummed in agreement with the girl in response to her comment, moving to curl up against her, resting his head on her shoulder with a content kind of huff of air. He nodded when she said it would warm up soon. "Good," he mused before yawning. "I don't know why I'm so cold," he grumbled. "The meds made me cold but not this cold," he huffed. "And I don't have the time to get sick," he added in a slightly more annoyed manner. He didn't feel sick...at least not physically....he just felt...gross. just gross. That was really just the best way to describe it all. Everything was just gross. Exept for Mari and the kids, of course. And the horses. It would probably do chaos some food to get out too and pull their little cart around, he supposed. Besides, he did miss the old man. And Anya and Att. He hadn't seen any of them in a while.

Mari smiled softly to him in response. "The weathers getting colder now... it's normal to feel it, especially when a few weeks back it was so warm," she told him gently before moving to press a soft but long kiss to the back of his head, though did put the back of her hand to his forehead. "You don't feel super hot," she told him gently. "So hopefully you're not gonna be getting sick. Plus, you're still healing so it's totally normal for you to be a bit chillier," she told him with a small him.
