Jacob ran in the barn letting them go to say good bye then when to flame himself know down and pets him crying a little bit saying " you show me my way out boy I am sorry you have to go "

Athena ran to Flame and whinnied. She nudged him. Athena started to whine. She couldn't let him go. Caspian and Smoke nickered to him. Athena layed down next to him and seemed to say, 'Thank you for being my best friend. You were the only friend I ever had.' Athena hung her head and laid it across Flame.

Jacob place a light hand on Athena and then looks back at flame he whines a good bye before taking his last breath

Athena stood up and galloped out to her and Flame's pasture. She went to the corner and hung her head. Dakota sat in the grass next to Jacob. She put her arm around him and kissed his cheek. "I know this is hard for you. You'll see him again someday."

Jacob said "I know he was my spotlight on the farm I'll sure miss him I guess I got to call the police to tell them I'll be using a car then my horse"

"No Jacob. You can use Pepper. I know it will be hard to, but at least you'll have a horse." Dakota hugged him. "It's okay."

Jacob nods and said " yeah I could I guess which would work"

Dakota smiled and held his hand.

30 minutes later...

After they finished burying Flame, Dakota walked to Athena. "Come here girl. It's okay." Athena ran to Dakota with a sad look. She slowly walked back and nickered to the pile of dirt Flame was under.

Jacob place his saddle and bridle on his grave and said " well I won't use it until I get another horse like you boy"
