Caden fell alseep.

Caden awoke and sat up,chest heaving,eyes wide.He searched around the room once,still breathing heavy,and got up before going downstairs.He brought Murphy into their bed and simply just hugged the dog on the bed.His head lay on his pillow,his body under the covers,and Murphy?Right next to Caden's side,facing away from Rose,focusing on calming down.

She shot up when she heard Caden wake. She quickly got up, for some reason her mind not registering they were fine and safe. Her mind flying around, her instinct from the last few weeks told her to reach for the bedside table. Her hand was half outstretched to nothing when she realized she was safe. She sighed and sat on the bed, holding her head in her hands, her leg bouncing. You're fine. You're safe.Caden is safe. You're safe with him. Her mind did circles, her heartbeat slowing to a normal rate

Caden eyes fluttered closed due to the other pill he took,forcing him to sleep.This time,he actually rest,no nightmares,just slightly destirbed rest.Yet still,he slept peacefuly,muscles relaxed,mind relaxed,a wonderful state of mind.

Rose stood, giving up on sleep, but letting Caden get some. He'd been through worse. She doordashed a lotus like she used to, but couldn't shake the terror from last night. She sighed, sitting on the couch and watching Tiktok on her phone, waiting for Caden to wake. She also thought of ordering food, but she surprisingly wasn't hungry and didn't know what Caden wanted. She also thought about going to the gym before remembering finals. "Shit." She said, getting up and grabbing her computer, logging into her grades and seeing them at C's and D's. "Shit shit shit." She said, quickly looking at her writing assignments because those were a D-. She quickly typed up a persuasive essay on food nutrition after picking the topic from the list. She turned it in via email and sighed, fingers cramping

Caden awoke,Murphy still by his side.He looked around,tiredly,and ran a hand through his hair.He sighed and got up,Murphy following close behind.He walked downstairs and saw Rose panicking. "Finals?" He asks,taking out his laptop.He checked his grades,A's and B's,per usual.He started writing a essay about calculas and then another for physics.

"Yeah. Apperantly i've been slacking." She said, gesturing to the grades. She sighed again and did the math and biology homework. She sighed, looking over at Caden who was already done. "Lucky." She said, looking over his shoulder at his grades. She put away her laptop and walked over to Caden, kissing his cheek. "You sleep okay, 'cause I definitely didn't." She said, tracing his tattoo

"I could've slept better at the gangs place then I did lastnight.I mean yeah,I slept but,not great." He continues through numerous drinks of a redbull and typing.
