The girl gave a little smile to the boy when he kissed her, and looked up at him happily. "Yeah, it's fine, don't worry," she smiled softly to the boy. "I'll make sure the house doesn't fall down," she promised lightly. She squeezed Silas a little before setting him down and giving a small smile, sort of walking Sage to the door. She kissed his cheek softly after a moment and gave him a happy smile. "See you in the bit," she murmured to him, sort of waving him off and giving a small smile. "Don't scare them, either," she chuckled gently to the boy.

Sage hummed lightly and then chuckled with a nod, sort of musing "I know you will," as he wandered over to wrap his coat and everything around him tightly. It was still cold out, but he did enjoy being outside and riding chaos still. The cold part just sucked. But, he sort of just tossed a simple snaffle bridle onto chaos and hopped on bareback as he normally did, and the horses body heat helped warm him up a bit, so it wasn't so bad. He let the horse mosey along for a bit to warm him up before letting him speed up a bit into a fast trot. He kept him there, since he wanted to save energy and also not give the horse too much of a shock heating up and cooling down, but also because as form as Chaos's strides were....there was still plenty of ice on the road, and he didn't want him hurt. Around half an hour later or so, though, they arrived at Edith's house, and he knocked on the door happily, hoping everyone was home.

Mari smiled softly at the children, Silas sort of running around with his toy birds and making noises to go with them, and Liz trying to crawl to her feet. They'd both gotten so big... she'd certainly missed moments like this, where she felt like she could just stop and look at her babies. Though, they didn't have long until Sage and her family would be back, so she soon got started on making a nice meal with what little they had... and she had to admit it was surprisingly alright. She was impressed, anyway.
Xander bounced towards the door when he heard the slight knock on the door, looking up at his brother in law with a happy looking smile. He'd lost that grin a few years back, not long after him and Mari had gotten married. But it was due to age, and he was obviously too old to go around looking dumbfounded all the time. Not the way that Mari still did, anyway.

Sage gave Xander a grin right back and leaned in to hug the boy quickly, chirping a greeting and then looking past into the house. "Your mom and brother home," he asked curiously. "They'll want to hear my news," he added. Chaos sort of poked his head over his shoulder to snuffle at Xander. It still amused sage how curious the stallion still was....it wasn't expected he supposed, but he did adore it all the same. His mind wasnt really on the horse as of then....he just wanted to tell everyone that Mari was home and alright.

The boy kind of gave him a questioning looking before nodding. "Yeah, yeah, come in. Mom is in the kitchen, I'll grab Anthony," he told him quickly before wandering past him, not before patting Chaos on the way past. He grabbed his brother quickly, then reappeared in the sitting room, not before grabbing his mother too. "He says he has news," he hummed gently to the woman before plopping down on the sofa next to him with a small huff of air, the other two sitting on the other other couch across from them. "What's up?" The older woman asked quietly.

Sage nodded and patted the boy on the shoulder. "I'll tie chaos up and then I'll be in," he hummed, moving to take care of the stallion and then sliding into the house and plopping down on a couch, scooting over to make room for Xander as the you get boy sat down next to him. "We got lucky....some old lady found Mari and had her son help bring her to her house. She patched her up and all," he hummed happily. "Mari came back last night ...says she wants to have everyone over and say hello," he informed them. "She got hit and shot....but she feels well enough to amwant to help around the house and hasn't really sat still yet no matter how many times I tell her to relax and heal up," he noted, saying the last part with a fond sort of amusement.

The older woman kind of kocked her head at him after a moment or two, kind of looking over at him curiously. Well, they all were... it was odd for him to come out of the blue, without him needing help with the kids or anything. Still, they all listened intently. In truth, the words were almost... scary. Edith had held such a high hope that her girl was alright, while the boys had gotten used to the idea. They didn't like it, of course, but they'd come to terms with it. The woman sat there for a moment, while Anthony and Xander were already up getting and chucking coats to one another. "Well, let's go then," Anthony grunted to the boy after a moment or two, wandering over to his mother and taking her hand to help her up quietly.

Sage couldn't help but grin when Anthony and Xander practically exploded from the couches to get their coats. He did eye Edith as he stood up, not all too sure if the woman would manage to stand up without falling back over. "If she needs the horse that's fine with me," he hummed to Anthony as he moved to slide out the door and get Chaos. They could ride double decker, or she could ride and he could wander alongside. He didn't really care....and neither would chaos, he supposed. Soon enough though, they were all on their way, and he settled chaos in a stall quickly before heading inside, a delicious scent greeting him.

The woman shook her head after a moment or two, and kind of steadied herself before striking out the best she could. She could walk just fine it was just... shell shock, she supposed. Her girl was okay... she'd been holding out hope for nearly a month, and it had been fading but... she was okay. And she just wanted to go and hold her for a while. Fuss over her the way she had when she was a child. They got there soon enough, Xander a few strides ahead, her and Anthony walking together while Sage was behind with the horse. The younger boy charged in, though stopped when he saw his sister and nephew chopping up some carrots. She looked over and gave a small smile, along with a bit of a wave, to which he ran over and basically melted into her arms, the other two not too far behind in his actions.

Sage had settled chaos as quickly as possible, jogging back over to the house. He paused outside the door as he coughed for a minute, the cold air definitely not helping his lungs. The tavern smoke had started that awful, hacking cough again, and the cold air seemed to only make it worse. Especially when he was active. After a moment though, he could take a deep breath and then wander into the house, grinning when he noticed everyone on top of Mari. Well, not actually on top of her....but it was definitely a group hug sort of situation. His nose twitched when he smelled the food...god, how long had it been since he'd been able to taste her cooking? He found himself drifting over in the direction of the smell, definitely excited for it all. He wasn't sure how much they had ...how much they could really afford to spare on other people....but this was a special occasion and special people....so he didn't mind.
