Sage chuckled lightly in response to her comment, nodding happily. "I'll be back," he chirped before releasing her again and grabbing the buckets, bouncing off down to the barn. He spent time with each horse happily, letting them as they ate their special dinner. Typhoon was nearly a year old now, only a few months shy of it, and he was already nearly as tall as chaos. Though, he did have the slightly stockier headset of his dam. The newer filly wasn't weaned yet, but he made sure to give her some extra attention before wandering back into the house and wrapping his arms around Mari again happily.

The girl nodded and gave a light smile as he wandered out, and soon enough finished with her chores before getting the rest of dinner on. It would take a few hours. Sage was back in the next hour or so, and when she felt his arms around her she felt a happy little smile cross her face. "You've done that twice today," she mused lightly as she leaned into him, tilting her head back slightly. "What do you want?" She teased as she patted his hand and wrapped one arm around his in a sort of hug kind of deal.

He chuckled lightly when she asked what he wanted, and hummed as if in thought. "I can't just do it because I love you," he asked, sort of teasing her a little bit. "What makes you think I want anything," he asked with a sort of giggle. He honestly didn't know what he wanted....he just knew he wanted to spend some time with her. Make the most of the kiddos being gone all night. They could do anything they wanted too. He did get a small bottle of Christmas something or other drink on the way home, since they'd enjoyed letting loose a little bit on their honeymoon. And it was a special occasion, after all. So why not? He'd bring that out later though, and surprise her then. For now though, he was just happy to spend time with her however they pleased. That didn't mean he could joke about a little bit, either.

The girl looked thoughtful for a moment before pouting up at him. "You normally want something," she chuckled lightly before pecking his nose playfully. "So it is a little strange that you're just giving me affection out of the blue," she mused lightly to him. She wasn't complaining, though. She did love getting to spend a bit of time with him... it just made her feel a little bit more comfortable. She loved every moment they got together, and with the kids away for the night she could relax a little. After a moment she let her hands fall to the side before going over to the oven to turn the heat up.

He chuckled lightly in response to her comment and hummed lightly. "Do I normally not give you affection," he mused lightly, cocking his head slightly. "Maybe I just want your attention," he mused. "That's not all too uncommon, now is it," he teased her lightly, pecking her forehead happily. When she moved back to the over, he followed close behind, peering over her shoulder to sniff the air. It did smell good, and he was suddenly reminded how lucky he was to have her. And her cooking. "Smells good babe," he hummed lightly before pecking her neck and moving away again with a sort of bouncy gait. He wasn't sure why he was so excited....maybe it was just that they got to spend some unexpected time together all night. Or maybe he was just hungrier than he realized. But he was definitely happy. It was nice

Mari chuckled lightly to the boy after a moment or two and turned to wrap an arm around his side. "Aww baby," she mused lightly. "I mean, I suppose you do be a little give me a little bit of attention every now and then," she chuckled lightly to him. She then pouted at him and pressed a light kiss to his cheek. "You never stop getting attention from me," she mused to him. She grinned when he said it smelled good... they couldn't get a nice turky or anything, but she did like duck, and it did admittedly smell good. "Yeah, it sort of does," she chirped as she left it a little bit longer. He seemed happy... bouncy and childish, and it was always sweet.

He hummed happily in response to her comment about attention and then he grinned over at her when she said she never stopped giving him attention. "Well what if I want more attention," he joked lightly. He wasn't really paying attention to what he was saying...he was just messing around happily. Amber had gotten into the mix by then too, so he picked her up and twirled around with her for a moment before stopping because he got dizzy, cheeks flushed and a wide grin on his face. Maybe he was being a bit silly and childish, but he'd had to be so mature for so long with Mari being gone, and then having to build stuff back up. He'd been working a lot.. .so it was just nice to unwind and be himself for a bit. Even if it was babbling nonsense to the cat.

Mari gave a light smile to the boy and shook her head as she watched him spin the cat around, and went to sit on the couch with a heavy sigh. "Well then maybe you should ask for more then," she mused lightly to the boy. He seemed so happy. It had been ages since he'd seemed so giddy, and it was certainly nice to watch him play about a little. "Careful with that poor cat!" She mused lightly to the boy. "You'll give her a complex," she chuckled lightly. It was nice just to have a bit of time where he could mess around, though. Just enjoy his day a bit, she supposed. And she liked to watch Sage in this sort of state, too.

Sage chuckled lightly at her comment and then moved to stagger over to the couch and sit down rather hard next to Mari, still grinning happily. "She already has a few screws loose," he hummed in a sort of fondly teasing manner. "A few more won't hurt her," he giggled. She knew he'd never hurt the cat...and amber liked all the attention. She'd curled up next to him happily by then, and gone back to sleep. No doubt Silas had woken her up too this morning. He leaned over to flop against Mari, resting his head on her lap and nestling amber on his side with a happy hum.

Mari chuckled lightly to him before shaking her head. "Poor animal," she teased him lightly before shaking her head. It was a little bit amusing... she enjoyed watching it, at least. She chuckled when he flopped down next to her, and went to gently rest her hand on his cheek when he fell onto her lap, a light grunt escaping her. She grinned down at him and pressed a light kiss to his lips. "Aww," she mused to him. "All that spinning worn you out," she mused to him happily. "Look at you, all red faced," she mused lightly.
