Mari sat int he kitchen for a little while, patterning and a dress for her daughter before wandering upstairs to get some fabric... it took about an hour for her to decide exactly what she wanted, but soon enough she was happy to just relax upstairs. She wandered down after a bit, ready to start again, when she saw Silas and Sage curled up on the sofa. She smiled and went to continue her project, not wanting to wake either of her boys up at all.

Sage slept for a while this time, which was good, since he was completely exhausted. Even so, maybe an hour and a half or two hours later he woke once his dreams started getting bad again. He sort of sighed after a moment, Silas the only thing keeping him from waking with a yelp...he didn't want to wake the boy, and the comforting weight on his chest was familiar enough to calm him once his brain caught up with everything. He sighed softly after a moment, moving to put the boy in his bed and tuck him in, taking a moment to calm down a bit more before wandering back to the kitchen, where Mari was still working. "And you chide me for staying up all night," he teased her gently, plopping down in a chair next to her tiredly.

Mari smiled lightly at his comments and went to hold up the dress when she saw he'd woken up. "I'm sewing," she hummed softly, her voice a little tired but seemingly happily with her work. She put it back down after a bit and ran her hands over her face. "I figured she was due a new one," she hummed gently. After a moment or two she sighed and finished everything off. "I take it you're ready for bed now," she asked with a laugh.

Sage hummed lightly in response to her comment and nodded. "I can see that," he noted with a slight twinge of amusement in his voice. Then he sat back in the chair with a sigh. "She just got Christmas presents," he chuckled, though of course he had no issues spoiling his baby girl. He huffed out a breath at her last comment and grunted, moving to stand up and wander off in the direction of the bedroom. "I'm ready to try," he sort of called back, though Mari had followed him upstairs so he stayed pretty quiet so as not to wake the kids. He flopped into bed soon enough though, pretty much passing out again once he did.

The girl pouted at him before sighing and following him up the stairs. "Okay... maybe I needed something to do," she chuckled gently before flopping down on the bed next to him. She was going to try and cuddle up, but decided that he hadn't seemed like he wanted to the night before, and when he did he didn't get any sleep, so she rolled over and hugged onto a pillow tightly as she slowly started to fall asleep again.

Sage slept for a while, really just enjoying what he could her at that point. Because he was jerking awake again soon enough.... Actually, it was much to soon in his opinion. He was tired enough by then he sort of just wanted to sob his eyes out in a dark corner for a bit. He referred from doing that though, since he didn't want to wake Mari. He did feel bad that she'd taken to hugging a pillow rather than cuddling up.... But he felt bad when they did cuddle too, so now he just felt guilty about everything. He groaned slightly, dragging himself out of bed and moving to just stand at the window and look outside. Watch the sun rise. Of course, he was more zoning with a blank face that probably showed some of all his confusing emotions as he thought about it all rather than actually watching the sun when it appeared, but still. He'd scratched at his arms a bit before forcing himself to just play with the hem of his shirt, since he'd feel even worse if he upset Mari.

Mari fell asleep soundly after a little, just enjoying the warmth and comfort of her bed. She slept until early the next morning, when she saw Sage standing at the window quietly. She sighed before crawling out of bed, dragging a blanket with her and wrapping her arms softly around his sides. "You need to stop this whole getting up early thing," she yawned before leaning her head on his back quietly. She did just want him to be a bit better... if he wasn't today then she would absolutely drag him down to the doctors ward again.

Sage half jumped when she wrapped her arms around him....he hadn't realized she was up. About a million scenarios flew through his head, though he recognized her soon enough and patted her hands lightly in a sort of good morning. He groaned slightly at her comment and grumbled "it's more like getting up late last night and staying that way," before moving to wrap some of her blanket around him too, with a tired sigh. Then, he glanced back at her with a light hum. "If you want to sleep, do it....don't let me keep you up," he told her softly, moving to peck the side of her head slightly.

Mari said ghee and shook her head. "Well then you should be coming aback to sleep with me," she murmured softly, and went to rest her chin on his shoulders when he curled the blanket around him. "You were meant to get a little bit of sleep tonight." She did feel bad for making him jump. She didn't want him to be nervous especially not in their own home. "Come back to bed with me," she pleaded softly once he pecked her cheek. "I've been missing you," she added quietly.

Sage sort of hummed in response to her first comment, half zoning out again despite his best attempts to focus on her and not...well, everything else. Though, at her next comments he decided the guilt of making her feel unloved was worse than cuddling up, so his features softened slightly and nodded. "Alright," he hummed quietly. He probably wouldn't actually sleep....but he would lay there with her if that's what she wanted. Part of him desperately wanted it too. But the other part was running as far away from the whole situation as possible. He let her lead him back to bed though, and wrapped himself around her tightly.
