The girl gave a groan before sighing and moving to flop back against the bed. "Exactly. You know, I didn't even expect to live this long. We're getting old now," she complained before moving to peck his cheek when he flopped down on her lap. "My fault? Please, if it wasn't for me you'd be looking like the doctor," she teased him softly. "But, I suppose I could just leave and you'd stop aging," she huffed to him dramatically.

Sage chuckled slightly and shrugged. "Well, you'd have loved longer than me," he pointed out lightly. "Maybe I'll start growing some brain cells, then. Does the wise just pop up one day or do I have to like...hire it and hope it doesn't get fed up with me and run off," he joked lightly. He grinned up happily at her in response to her peck and then pouted in response to her comment. "You tried that once and I think it just made me age faster," he teased lightly. "you can't get rid of me that easy," he chirped.

Mari gave a small smile to him. She did hope she lived longer than him. She didn't ever want him to have to go through the pain of loosing someone he loved... she hoped that she had to go through that rather than him. Not because she didn't love him... but because she just didn't want to see him going town hill again. To be in pain because she'd died or left. That had already happened once. "I think... I think your brain cells weren't very good at their job in the first place," she teased him before giving a small sigh. "I wish they were but I just don't think that they were," she teased him softly. She pouted at him before sticking her face close to his. "So I'm stuck with you forever? Boo," she teased him lightly.

Sage chuckled lightly at her comments about his brain cells, humming in a kind of agreement. "I do wish I could take them out, fix them up, and then put them back in my head sometimes," he admitted with a chuckle. "Putting them up for adoption has also crossed my mind," he added happily. He was waking up a bit more now, so he reached over to sort of pop a bit of food into his mouth, grinning up at Mari when she spoke up again. "Yup," he chirped, tilting his head up to peck her lips lightly. "Forever and ever," he hummed happily.

Mari gave a little grin to him when he pecked her lips. "Well, now you're all old and grey, you can stay in bed all day and let them heal," she teased to him softly before moving to curl up under the covers a little bit. "But you can't get rid of any now... I need you to have them, no matter how awful they might be," she teased him softly. She groaned at his next comment. "Awhhh but you're so boring," she teased him with a pout, dragging the tray towards her a little bit. "We have no fun," she added softly.

Sage chuckled lightly at her comment and shrugged. "I don't think Silas will let that happen," he mused. "And I don't think I can heal them all up anyway," he adnitted with a chuckle. He snorted lightly at her comment, curling up with her more when she slid down and curled up a bit. "We have lots of fun," he huffed. "In fact, I could go get the rest of that bottle of wine and get you in bed right now," he added, crossing his arms and half pouting over at her. He wasn't exactly flirting, but he would mind if anything happened either, he supposed. It would at least mean she was the last one he'd done anything with, if nothing else.

The girl sort of rolled her eyes at him after a minute and gave a heavy sigh. "Well, now you're not wasting any brain cells I can't imagine what the issue is. You can't get yourself into trouble if you don't think about it," she teased softly to him. She sort of pouted at him after a moment or two. "No we don't! When was the last time we went out to do something nice the two of us - excluding last night," she mused to him... though, she didn't actually care. She just enjoyed being close to him, she supposed. She liked looking after the kids, too. She gave him a little grin at his next comment, too. "Hm, I don't think you could," she mused softly to him before giving a little shrug.

Sage snorted light and shook his head. "Mari, the times I get into trouble it's because I did something without thinking about to first," he noted with a twinge of amusement. He cocked his head slightly in response to her question and then gave her a cheeky grin. "Christmas," he chuckled. It wasn't all that long ago....but doing something the two of them every now and then would be nice. He'd started planning for their anniversary too....that was coming up next month, now that spring was pretty much here. They'd do something for that...he just wasn't completely sure what yet. He gasped in mock offense in response to her comment, though, sitting up and pressing a hand to his chest. "Are you doubting my romantic capabilities," he gasped, really just being overly dramatic about it all.

The girl hummed as though in thought before shrugging. "Well now you don't have the brains to do anything other than look after the horses. I personally think it's a good thing," she teased him softly before giving a little chuckle. She pouted at him before giving a small shrug. "Oh yeah... I forgot about Christmas," she hummed quietly, a little bit of a teasing saunter in her voice. She looked over at his very dramatic reaction to her comments, and gave a big looking grin. "I very much am,"'she chuckled softly to him. "I've gotten bored of initiating," she huffed in an equally dramatic tone.

Sage snorted in response to her comment, rolling his eyes. "I'll let you do all the art then," he noted, still rather amused with the whole situation. He sort of just pouted at her when she claimed to have forgotten about Christmas, and then claimed she was most definitely doubting him. He huffed out a breath and sort of grumbled "fine then," he he rolled out of bed and wandered down to the kitchen, grabbing the bottle that was still like three quarters full and a few cups and wandering back upstairs, tossing her the cup with a grunt. "Just you wait," he chuckled. "I'm sure I can be very romantic if I so please," he giggled.
