Mari chuckled to him. "But your gorgeous face would be more messed up!" She teased lightly to him. She then pouted softly before moving to press another light kiss to his lips. "Aw, you're very nice to me," she chuckled lightly before shrugging and moving to give him a small squeeze. "Me? Mean?! I'm nothing but wonderful to you," she chuckled lightly before moving to press a light kiss to his lips. She sort of tucked the duvet around him before giving a small hum. "I've never been mean," she teased lightly. The next few months seemed pass quite quickly... little Silas had gotten even bigger, and Liz was running around like it's all she ever knew. Sage seemed happier too... and that just made her feel good. She sat in the kitchen as usual, watching Sage sort the horses with the kids trailing behind him. (just did a little skip!)

(Okie dokie lol. We can have the kid get dropped off in a bit if you want. Idc) Sage chuckled lightly in response to her comment, cuddling up with Mari happily, humming lightly in response to her comments. "You're perfect," he agreed happily. The next few months, he'd sort of gotten back to his old self .. no more nightmares, no more soreness, nothing like that. He was out with the kids now...he was working and they were playing around. They'd gotten the kids a pony of their own a few weeks back, and both of them absolutely adored the fuzzy little animal. Silas had named it brownie, and Liz had agreed readily. It was funny, sure, but the pony was a gentle old soul, and handled the kids quite well. it was very nice to see.

(We can do that for sure! Feel free to do it whenever lol) Mark busied herself in the kitchen for a while, happily making a little cake for their dessert that night. She liked decorating them recently, so their kitchen was filled with loads of decorating pipes and moulded sugar for toppings. She looked up every now and then, enjoying watching the kids playing around with all the animals... Sage had been good at selling some of the yearlings recently, so they'd had enough money to get the kids a pony of their own... they'd surprised Silas on his birthday, and Liz seemed more than happy to share the little thing.

(Okie dokie lol) Sage wandered around feeding and watering, letting the horses out into their paddocks as he saw fit. He liked sort of grouping the friends together, but keeping mares and stallions and foals separate. He'd figured out a system that worked well for them, so he decided he should just stick to it. It was finally warm out again, now that they were at the end of spring, and it was definitely sunny and nice out. He'd missed that over the course of the winter. Once he was done working with all the horses, he just moved to hop on chaos and lay on the stallions back, watching the kids as he rested with his friend. It was certainly nice. Soon enough though, it was lunch time, so he wrangled them back up and ushered them back up and into the house happily, greeting Mari with a kiss as usual and moving to wash up to help out.

Mari pottered around for a while until she noticed the kids running back around to the door. She felt a bit of a smile form on her face before turning to get their plates ready, a small wrap each on their plates. She smiled over at Sage when he kissed her, and soon enough handed him another plate and shooed him off from washing up. "Go eat first," she mused lightly to him before flopping down on the couch with a heavy sigh.

Sage chuckled lightly when Mari handed him the plate of food pretty much the moment he'd walked into the kitchen. It was normal, and he just found himself thinking about how good Mari was to their little family. She always had meals ready for him when he came back from working, and then the kids came back from playing.... It was always delicious too. So, he was more than happy to sit down at the table with the kids and eat. He was chatting happily with them when a knock sounded at the door, and he glanced over at Mari in surprise. No one was expected, and Edith or the doctor would have just walked in ... Anthony and Xander, too. So he didn't have a clue as to who this was. The knock sounded again, a bit more impatient this time, so he sighed and moved to get up to go answer it, though Mari was also already on her way over to the door.

Mari sat happily, watching the kids and her husband interact. They were definitely daddy's children, but she was happy to see the kids so happy with everything. She jumped a little bit before looking over at the door curiously. "You expecting anyone?" She asked him curiously before standing up and wandering over to the door. Her mother wouldn't have knocked, and Anthony would and just shouted to let them know he was there. Xander would have too, actually. She kind of looked though the peephole, only to see a very ragged looking woman. She was holding something, but mari couldn't make out what. She furrowed her brows before kind of unlocking the door and opening it curiously.

Sage shook his head in response to Maris question, pushing his chair in and wandering over to the door curiously. "Who is it, babe," he hummed, moving up beside her and wrap an arm around her side. Of course, when he saw who was at the door, he immediately stiffened, quite a few emotions going through his face a he muttered a few curses before calming himself enough to keep a somewhat straight face. "What," he snapped at the woman, definitely not at all happy to see her here. Or to know that she knew where her lived. The woman simply scowled at him, muttering a curse and slur under her breath. He studied even more at that, though she simply tossed him whatever she was holding and stalked off. He caught the bundle out of reflex and then sort of stood there for a moment, shocked. Then he felt the bundle move and nearly jumped out of his skin, dropping the thing on the couch like it was hot.

Mari smiled when she felt him coming up beside ber, though his instant ridgedness made her stiff. She looked up at him curously, then back to the woman. She was a bit confused by his tone, but kind of looked back to the woman, flinching as the thing was chucked their way, though by the time she looked back the woman was gone. Mari seemed so confused as to what was happening, but kind of closed the door slowly as she looked back to Sage. "Who was that?" She asked curiously, though when he dropped the thing on the couch and she heard a small squeak like noise, she sort of wandered over to couch to unwrap the small bundle, she kind of stared at it for a while, not overly sure what to do.

Sage could tell Mari was a bit confused...actually, she was probably very confused, but honestly so was he a little bit. He sort of stared at the door for a moment, slowly turning to look over at the girl when he heard her voice. He glanced over at the kids again before clearing his throat and shaking his head. "She was one from the market," he said after a moment, though in an admittedly thin voice. It was all just very....confusing, and he wasn't sure what to do, especially once Mari opened the bundle and he saw the baby there. A baby that definitely had his eyes. He sort of started at it for a second, rapidly paling before sinking down the wall into a sitting position, really just trying to control his breathing, though it wasn't working all that well. The kids were still there though, so he didn't want to freak out in front of them.
