Mari sighed to him after a moment and sort of shrugged. "I wouldn't want him going anywhere until he was better, anyway," she murmured softly to him after a moment. "You're fine, don't worry. He'll be fine for now, too," she sighed to him. She eventually stood up and moved to press a light kiss to his cheek. "I'm gonna go and get ready for bed," she murmured softly to him after a moment or so. "It's all up to you, you know that," she murmured quietly. He knew that if this was what he really wanted, then she couldn't tell him they couldn't. He knew that she could never say no to him, and this was no different.

Sage sort of sighed and nodded in response to her comments, smiling at her in a tired sort of way. "I know," he mused. "It's just a lot to think about," he added, nodding when she said she was heading to bed. He moved to get up too, making sure the baby was settled before moving to get ready for bed and then crawl into the covers with an exhausted sigh. He'd been thinking too much for a while...so it was time to sleep and rest his mind.

Mari sighed and sort of crawled into the shower, just sort of standing there for a while. She hoped Sage wasn't upset with her... she knew she hadn't been super excited or happy about all of this, but she hoped she hadn't be too blunt about it all. She didn't want him to be angry at all. She didn't want the kid to be anywhere unsafe... but she was sort of scared it would tear them apart. She didn't want to think about it at all, so eventually got out the shower and climbed into bed next to Sage, sort of tucking her nose into his back softly.

Sage sort of lay facing the wall, just letting the thoughts run through his mind. He didn't have any energy to keep them tucked away. Though, when Mari came and tucked in, he rolled over so he could wrap his arms around her before settling down again with a soft huff of air. He murmured some kind of greeting, though it was pretty quiet so he wouldn't break the silence. And because he was half asleep by then. He was content to just curl up and fall asleep though ...all this stress was knocking him out. It was rather amusing, he thought. At least, until his nightmares came. But still.

Mari hummed softly to him after a moment or two, the small greeting bringing a small smile to her face. She slipped off soon enough, just happy to relax for a while. She eventually woke up, quite abruptly when she heard the kids start to cry. She wondered if Sage would think of a name for him. They couldn't keep on calling him 'kid' for however long her was here. She groaned when the crying didn't stop, but crawled out of bed and went to go and make up some of the formula for the kid, then scooping him up and going to sit on the couch to feed him until he passed out after a bit of time. She just sort of laid there for a while, eventually falling asleep with the kid on her chest, fairly exhausted by now.

Sage hadn't noticed when Mari got up, though when he woke up later to the sun, he noticed she wasn't there. He sighed slightly, but forced himself up and out of bed to go find her. He chuckled slightly when he saw her passed out on the couch with the baby, though he did feel bad that she kept waking up for him. That should probably be his job. He moved to carefully take the little boy off her chest and place him in his crib before moving to put a blanket over Mari and press a light kiss to her forehead. It was still really early, but he was up...so he figured he would just go work on art for a bit.

The girl slept for a while, really just happy to finally relax. She looked tense, though, and eventually settled down after a little while, just getting comfortable. She woke up a few ours later, to find a blanket around her snuggly. She eventually woke up after a while, just happy to relax for a while. She crawled up, going to check on the baby before going to find Sage in his book, eventually going to wrap her arms around his side with a small breath of air. "Morning," she whispered softly before giving a small hum and flopping her head down on his shoulder tiredly.

Sage half jumped when Mari came up behind him, but then chuckled and turned his seat so she could plop down on his lap. He wrapped and arm around her, moving to set the paintbrush he was holding on the easel the painting he was working on was nested on, and then moved to wrap that arm around her too, though he was careful not to get any wet paint on her. "Hey babe," he hummed lightly, not at all minding that she'd interrupted his work. Hed expected it to happen sooner or later, whether it was her or the kids....and besides, it was probably almost breakfast time anyway. And it was oil paint...so it wasn't gonna dry out on him or anything.

The girl sort of smiled when he moved to make space for her, and moved to sort of wrap herself around him comfortably. She felt her smile grow a little when his arm wrapped around her, kind of moving to peck his cheek before flopping her head down on his shoulder. "Hey," she whispered in response to him, sort of pecking his shoulder softly as she settled down. "Did you sleep okay," she asked him softly to him. She'd hoped getting up in the night would let him sleep for a little while... so he could relax. It seemed like he hadn't been able to do any of that recently.

Sage felt his smile grow when she curled up and hummed lightly, pecking the side of her head in response to her kisses and tightening his hold on her slightly. "I woke early but I slept ok," he mused in response to her comment. "it gave me time to get some work done," he added with a sort of shrug. It was a rather large order....a big landscape of a beach for the wall above the headboard of someone's bed. So, it would take a lot of time. He was almost done, he just had to add in some final tiny details....which would take a while but he was in the end stretch. It was a fun challenge though, working that big, and it was a pretty good paycheck. Almost as good as one of the foals. So, he was more than happy to do it.
