The girl sort of cocked her head at him after a moment and shrugged. "I mean I've done nothing to you," she mused to him lightly, "It hurts me that you're so intent on teasing me. It's like we're little kids," she huffed to him softly to him, giving a small chuckle. She kind of moved to tuck a long hair behind his ear. "You know, hun, bullying is not a form of flirting," she joked to him softly to him before sort of curling into his neck. "Or maybe I've just been so desperate for love that I saw you and thought you'd be just fine," she mused to him.

Sage chuckled slightly and wrapped his arms around her firmly when she moved to curl in to him. "You loved me and chose to deal with my shit," he noted with amusement, pecking her on the nose lightly. He snorted in repsonse to her next comment though too, humming happily and tucking his nose into her head when she curled in. "I'm not bullying you," he huffed lightly. "Well, you were pretty desperate," he joked lightly. Though, soon enough they'd quieted down, and he found himself drifting off happily.

The girl just sort of hummed at his comments, giving a small nod as she started to settle down. She didn't really have much to say, and she was so exhausted, so falling asleep definitely settled her down. She curled into him again, just happy to be close to him. She eventually drifted off during the night, peaceful for a long while. She didn't have much to worry about... of course, the kid might start crying... but there wasn't much chance of her waking up now.

Sage was more than happy to drift off, curled up with the girl. It was warm and cozy, and he always liked to just be with her. And she knew that. He woke to the baby crying sometime early the next morning though, and sighed before forcing himself out of bed. He really didn't want to get up, but Mari had been up the last few nights, which he felt sort of bad about, so he moved to go grab a bottle and settle the little guy as quickly as he could before plopping down on the couch with him with a sigh. (I was thinking, what if they wind up getting into an argument over the baby? Like Mari gets fed up with it and sage just saying he doesn't know and he's still trying to just figure it out so he snaps back and it escalated a bit? Idk, I figured it would be drama and doable lol)

(Yeah, we can definitely do that!!) Mari slept through the night happily, just glad to rest for a while. Sage had only just gotten to sleep, so she was content to know that she would have a little while. It wasn't until early the next morning when she woke up, the spot where Sage normally laid empty but still warm from where he had slept. She woke up quietly before sighing and moving to wander down stairs. She looked over at the couch before giving a small sigh. "Morning," she hummed, trying to be as perky as she possibly could.

Sage sort of stirred when he heard Mari come down the stairs....he'd started to drift off after a while of sitting there, but yawned and greeted her as happily as he could. "Sleep ok," he asked quietly, not wanting to wake the kids. And also....it had been quiet for so long, whispering a bit just felt right. He did move to get up then, and place the sleeping baby back in his spot before moving to press a quick peck to her cheek and peer over her shoulder. "Whatcha planning on making for breakfast," he asked curiously. "I'll help," he mused. They hadn't cooked together in a while, so he figured it would be nice.

The girl gave him a smile, admittedly feeling a bit bad that he'd had to get up instead of her. But it was just the once... and hopefully it hadn't been for too long. "Yeah, I did," she murmured lightly to him with a small smile. She sort of looked behind her to see Sage, and gave a small shrug. "I dunno... waffles?" She asked him softly before giving a small smile. "Whatever you'd like," she then added to him. They'd recently gotten a waffle press... so she'd taken to making them in the morning... it was easier than trying to do it herself.

Sage hummed happily in response to her comment and pecked the side of her head lightly. "good, you seemed like you needed it," he mused lightly before nodding happily. "Sounds good to me," he chirped, moving to grab the ingredients he knew they used when making the waffles. They were rather good....and very easy to make now that they had this new waffle press or whatever it was. He wasn't all too sure what it was, he just knew Mari had come home from the market very excited about it and all....and it made it go quicker and he was more than happy with it if it made things for his wife.

Mari smiled to him before moving to get everything sorted. She was thankful for the help... it made everything so much quicker. Soon enough the kids came down, looking a bit more lively than they had the day prior. She made some chocolate milk, too, and the kids seemed so, so excited about it all. It was a childish thing, for sure, but it was absolutely adorable to see how happy they were about it all. She set the table and had Sage put the waffles out, along with the syrups to go along with them.

Sage couldn't help but enjoy the time they had before the kids woke...it was nice to cook with Mari again, and he'd gotten a few kisses out of the whole deal, so really he couldn't complain about anything. He grinned when she pulled dout the chocolate milk...it was definitely childish, but hey, chocolate milk was delicious, so he could get excited of he wanted to. He settled the kids down with their food before grabbing himself a plate and glass of milk happily, plopping himself down between Silas and Mari, like he normally did.
