Sage hadn't even noticed Mari come downstairs...he supposed he was just so out of it that he'd sort of slipped into that half awake half asleep stage, not really aware of anything around him. He didn't notice her leave either, and came to a few hours later when Silas and Liz came bursting back into the house, ready for lunch. He sort of groaned but forced himself to settle them with food at the table. He noticed Maris door was open, so he assumed she'd gotten the note and calmed down a bit, so he sort of wandered up the stairs, hesitating in the doorway of the bedroom, not really sure what to do or say.

Mari sat in bed for most of the day... just wanting to be left alone. It was quiet, and she had to admit it was kind of nice to be left alone by the kids for a while. She eventually heard creeping coming up the stairs, and sighed when she saw Sage in the doorway. She didn't know what to say to him, so eventually just looked back to the book she was reading... she was still a little bit angry... about the fact he couldn't even talk to her. He'd had to leave a note... and she'd barely seen him over the last few days.

Sage sort of sighed after a moment and half took a step back when Mari just looked back to her book, obviously not wanting to talk. He dropped his gaze, planning on just leaving, but he admittedly spoke up before he realized he was going to say anything. "You're still mad." It was more of a statement than a question, and a dull one at that, since he no longer had the energy to cover any kind of tone. But he couldn't go on acting like he didn't care she was upset with him any more. He just couldn't.

The girl looked up at him after his comment, though sort of shrugged and went back to reading her book. She hated this. The weird stillness around them. They'd never really argued before... well, not like this anyway. She'd always been the first to apologise and ensure he was alright, but... well, she couldn't do that this time. She wasn't really sorry about anything she'd said, not at all... she just felt bad about the way it came out. "Still mad," she noted shortly before rolling over to continue reading her book.

Sage sort of huffed out a breath in response to her comment, running a hand over his face in an effort to figure out some way to dampen the situation. "I said I was sorry," he pointed out. "It's been three days," he added, eyebrows creeping up. He wasn't sure why she was still so mad, but he was definitely wondering if she was going to keep their marriage from continuing like it had before. Though, when she didn't respond, he let out a heavy sigh and dropped his gaze, standing there for a moment before whispering "fine," he turning to leave, almost regretting going up there.

The girl just sort of felt her brows knitting together, obviously just not very happy about the whole thing. He never said he was sorry. He wrote it down if a piece of a paper. She could barely read any of it, too. She stayed in bed for a bit longer before sighing and starring at the ceiling. He could say he was sorry as much as he wanted, but it didn't really mean much. She stayed there for about an hour before sighing and sort of moving to wander down stairs before stating to cook some dinner.

Sage had wandered down to the living room and stood there for a minute before deciding he'd just go to the porch. He wandered outside and slid down the wall until he was sitting there with a sigh. He'd brought a pen out with him, so he busied himself just doodling on his arms for a while. Just trying not to think about anything too much. He didn't have the brain power for that right then.

Mari rolled her eyes and sort of went back to reading... she didn't know what to say to him. It wasn't okay. She was still angry, and his little note just made her angrier. She eventually felt her anger start to burn in her chest, not sure why, but it did. She sort of started to itch at her arms, not sure what else to fo about the feeling, but quickly realised what was going on and stopped. She didn't want to be the one to be like that. That was Sages job, and it was a stupid thing to get so upset about.

Sage sort of just sat there, not really sure what to do with it all. Eventually, though, the anger sort of twisted in his chest and he stood up, practically storming back inside, scooping the sleeping baby up and out of his crib and stalking back out, heading down to the barn and hopping on chaos. The baby had woken, of course, and was wailing, but sage didn't really seem to care. He just kicked chaos forward, and the horses gait seemed to lull the baby back to sleep as they went, which he was definitely thankful for. They went straight to the castle, where sage dumped the baby in the doctor's arms, saying nothing but "get rid of it," to the man before pushing chaos rather hard as they went back to the house. He took care of the horse, of course, once he got back, and it was only as he was watching him graze did it hit him what he'd just done, and he slid to the ground, curling up into himself, suddenly somehow feeling even more awful about it all than before. He'd just left his own son screaming in a strangers arms, not caring where he went or what happened to him. And no doubt the baby was going to be hard for the doctor too....he let out a sort of choked whimper, not wanting to just start sobbing but not really sure what to do.

Mari heard the door shut, but eventually just settled down in bed. She didn't actually have the energy to get up and make dinner. She didn't want to, anyway. She soon enough got to bed... it was so, so early. She didn't know what to do other than sleep. She couldn't do anything. She kids would know that they were upset with each other, and she didn't want to worry them... if they weren't close then the kids wouldn't know. She slept for a while though... late into the next morning, as she had the past fer days.
