Sage sat there for a while, just sinking deeper and deeper, though when he heard silas's voice next to him he looked up to see the boy standing there. "I'm hungry," he whined and sage glanced at the sky with a frown, startled to see it was almost dark. "Where's mommy," he asked, frown deepening when Silas stated she'd gone to bed. He sighed and stood up, moving back to the house quickly to get the kids something to eat, feeling rather awful about this now too. Though, now he was worried about Mari....she never slept this much, and he knew well the signs of what seemed to be going on. He let her sleep though, and got the kids ready for bed before taking his place by their rooms as he'd down the night before. When morning came, he realized he'd scratched again at some point, so he moved to slide into their room quietly and grab a long sleeved shirt and heading into the bathroom to clean up a bit before anyone else noticed.

Mari slept through the night, just happy to relax for a while. To sleep, happy that she didn't have anything to do. Well, she probably did... but she couldn't think what right now. She woke up slowly when she heard the door opened, and just sort of stared in the direction of the bathroom. She sort of ran a hand over her face before crawling out of bed and moving to wander towards the bathroom, and kind of just leaned against the door frame... watching what he was doing. She hadn't really seen him over the last few days. But she just wanted to ensure he was actually okay.

Sage had changed quickly, then moved to just wash his face in an effort to possibly look any better than what he looked like having now gone like four days with barely any sleep. He dried himself off when he was done and practically lept out of his skin when he turned around to see Mari standing there watching him. He sort of stood there awkwardly for a moment before sighing and moving to put the towel away before leaning against the counter. "Hey," he whispered after a moment. Then, when she didn't respond right away, he added, "the baby's gone." hoping for some kind of positive... anything to come from the girl. He just needed to know she still loves him, at least a little bit.

Mari just sort of stared at him after a moment, kind of dropping her gaze and going to take a few steps closer to him. "He didn't have to go," she murmured to him after a moment of quiet. "I just wanted to talk to figure out how it would work... or something like that, anyway..." she murmured before sort of looking back to him carefully. "I never meant for it to get this bad," she whispered, kind of going to lean on the wall as she moved to stare back down on the ground. She didn't know what else to say. She felt bad for getting so upset... but she was still sort of angry. But not at him so much.

Sage sort of shook his head in response to her comment. "Yes, he did," he sighed. "It wasn't working with him here and you know it," he said gently, half leaning into her, seeking her warmth and comforting presence but then hesitating, not knowing if she was ready to forgive him yet. "I think I always knew he'd have to go," he whispered after a moment, sort of hugging himself and taking a deep breath. "I know," he added, looking back at her when she'd said she didn't want it to get bad. "Neither of us did. But it did, and I'm sorry," he added. "Can it just go back to the way it was," he pleaded. "I'm worried about you. I know the signs when I see them and I don't want you going down the same path I did," he added, searching her face desperately as he reached for her hand, hoping she wouldn't get mad again.

Mari pinched her brows together. "Sage, he was your baby," she murmured to him. She did feel bad... she didn't like the idea of having the kid here one bit, but... she didn't want to work something out with him, so that Sage could have his child in his own house. She could never play baby mamma, but ateas the kid would know his dad. She sort of leaned back against the wall with a small sigh when he reached for her hand, her eyes following it as it got closer, she shook her head and reached to entwine her fingers softly with his. "I'm sorry too," she whispered before moving to pull him in a little bit. "We can try and get back to normal," she added softly. She looked worried for a moment before feeling her face stiffen slightly. "Don't worry about me," she whispered. "Just look at the state of yourself," she added softly.

Sage sort of sighed in response and ran a hand over his face. "He deserved better," he said after a moment. "I handed him off to the doctor earlier. Hell find him a family who'll love him like their own," he sighed. He sort of melted when she took his hand and tugged him closer, turning to wrap his arms around her and bury his face in the crook of her neck, suddenly very emotional about it all. He supposed he was just relieved she was still willing to love him. To try and get back to normal. He pulled back after a moment though and gave her a soft smile. "I'm ok," he hummed. "At least....I will be now." He gave her a sheepish smile after than and shook his head. "I just need a good night's sleep....then I think I'll feel better," he admitted with a shrug.

The girl looked up at him curiously before shaking her head. "Hun he was your kid," she murmured to him, though nodded at his last comment. She didn't want him to give up his child because of her... she wouldn't of liked it, but she would have looked after him. When he collapsed into her, she buried her nose into his hair, sort of breathing in his scent quietly as she wrapped her arms around his sides. "I'm so sorry," she whispered to him again before sort of moving lean back a little. She hoped he would be okay... if anything happened it would be nothing but her fault.

Sage sort of shrugged in response to her comment about the baby. "I don't think I ever could have loved him like I love Silas and Liz," he said simply, meeting her gaze again. Though, when she apologized he took her face in his hands shaking his head vigorously. "You don't have to apologize for anything," he said firmly. "I was the one who got all up in arms over a simple question. And I wasn't brave enough to apologize in person for too long," he added with a sigh after a moment or so. He moved to lean back into her after a moment though, wrapping his arms around her again and pressing a kiss to the side of her head. "You think I can come back to bed now," he asked almost shyly with a rather embarrassed chuckle. "I've been sitting in the hallway staring at the wall the past few nights," he admitted, feeling rather silly about that by now.

The girl stared at him for a moment just sort of shaking her head quietly. "He's your baby," she repeated, her voice low, nearly a whisper. She hated that he might not want to keep his own child because of her... she didn't want that at all. She sort of flinched when his hands came towards her face, but gave him a small nod. She still felt awful about all of this. "I shouldn't have retaliated," she added softly. She leaned into him again before giving a nod. "Yes, god, come back to bed," she added softly to him, sort of tugging him back towards their room.
