Sage had sort of hummed with a shrug in response to Maris comment, groaning when she slid out of bed but sort of half drifted off again anyway once he'd curled up in the spot that was still warm from her body heat. He sort of mumbled some kind of thanks when she set the tray of food in bed, though he did feel a bit bad about the fact that she'd walked away again. He'd hoped things would've gone back to normal....but he supposed there were still things she was thinking about. Things keeping her from acting....normally, of that was the right word. He sort of sighed and moved to sip at the drink, wondering what he should do about it all.

Mari sat with Liz for a little while letting her yabber on about... whatever she was talking about. Mari was braiding her hair by then... she supposed she felt bad about not spending much time with her by then. And it was hard not to be a little bit happier when the kid was so happy about everything. "Are you sad?" The little girl asked her, to which Mari shook her head, giving a small chuckle. "Why would I be sad?" She replied to her softly, bobbling the end of one of her plaits. The kid sort of shrugged, continuing to play with one of her dolls. Mari pecked the top of her head lightly and gently poked her sides. "Breakfast will be ready in a bit. I'll call you down, hm?" She hummed, the little girl giggling lightly before giving a nod. Mari smiled and waddled out her room before heading to her own room to grab Sages tray.

Sage sort of sat around, sipping at the tea and thinking. He hadn't touched the food by the time Mari came back to the room, but that was admittedly because he'd started thinking and had lost track of time. And forgotten there was even food there. He sort of zoned back in when he heard her come in, blinking and then giving her a sort of sheepish grin when she looked from the untouched plate and back to him. "I got distracted," he admitted with a sort of chuckle. It wasn't uncommon....but of course, he was still wondering why Mari still seemed to be mad at him, which didn't help his appetite at all. He was trying to both ignore it and figure out what he was still doing wrong....which was rather difficult to do.

Mari furrowed her brows after a moment and sort of shook her head before picking up the plate. "When's the last time you ate something," she asked him, sort of settling everything on the plate before going to put it all away. Though, she soon returned to get changed and settled on the side of the bad after a little while to fix her hair a little bit more. (short, I'm busy!)

(no worries!) Sage sort of shrugged and ran a hand down his face with a sigh. "A full meal or just something," he asked, which he figured sort of answered her question. At least a little bit. She'd dissapeared by then though, so he just stayed where he was at, sipping at the tea and then setting the empty cup off to the side once he'd finished. He sort of flopped over so he could look up at her once she sat back down, a content huff of air coming from his chest.

Mari sort of nodded at his comment, figuring that was more enough of an answer. "You need to look after yourself," she huffed, sort of plaiting two thick strands of her hair at the front and pulling it back to put in a bun. She did wish he would try and care a bit more. She didn't want the kids to notice that he didn't eat much and pick up on it. It was a bad habit, and she didn't really want the kids to inherit it. She stood up after a moment and went to start clearing up the room a little... she could admit it had gotten a bit messy over the last couple of days.

Sage hummed in response to her comment and shrugged. "I was making sure they ate," he said simply. He was focused on them...as best he could be focused on anything with the small amount of sleep he'd gotten at the time. "Now that I've gotten decent sleep I'll be able to focus more on actually eating," he promised, though, figuring she'd want to hear it. He was getting hungry, he supposed. He moved to help her pick some clothes up, though when he straightened with an armful of clothes he couldn't help but just....stand and watch her. She was still as perfect as ever, he thought....and he really was lucky to have her.

Mari eventually put everything away in the corner of the room. "You just put everything there... I'll sort it out later," she murmured, placing a hand on the back of her neck, sort of staring at the floor for a moment before letting out a soft breath. "I'm going to sort the kids out with some food," she murmured in a whisper before sort of wandering off downstairs to make sure they had something to eat.

Sage just nodded in response to her comment, still just staring with a dumb grin on his face as she stood up and then moved to check on the kids. "Alright," he blurted after a moment, admittedly a bit embarrassed that he still acted as if he'd first seen her. It wasn't a bad thing though, he supposed. He moved to finish the cleaning as she'd instructed before wandering down to greet the kiddos happily, sitting down next to Silas when the boy pleaded for some time to talk.

Mari padded downstairs quickly, just excited to sit down as a family for the first time that week... she was still a bit angry, but they'd apologised to eachother, so she had to be a bit more lenient, she supposed. She made crepes, and put some honey, lemon, syrup and chocolate spread for the kids and Sage to pick from. She didn't want him to be upset with her still. She didn't think he was, but she could still be hopeful she supposed. She called everyone down to eat after a little while, though.
