Sage sort of chatted with Silas for a little while, the boy seemingly just glad to spend time with him. Actual time, where he wasn't working or falling asleep while the boy talked. And he was just as glad to just spend time with his son....and when Liz and Mari moved to join them at the table, it really only seemed to get even better. "Thanks babe," he hummed lightly when she set the food down on the table, suddenly much hungrier than he'd realized. He reached to take a handful of the crepes happily, snacking on them while talking to the rest of his family.

Mari have a small smile in response to his comment, seemingly just happy that he was eating something. She ate quickly, though, and soon enough went to wash up the dishes while Sage and the kids kept on chatting. It didn't take long, though, and slipped upstairs to finish cleaning up the room. She got everything washed and cleaned, and changed the bedsheets before going around the kids rooms and doing the same... it didn't take long, but it was definitely something for her to do, she supposed.

Sage had half a mind to help Mari clean up, but the kids were so happy to spend time with him that he figured he could stand to just mess around with them for a bit. It ended up with them running around the house, Liz hanging onto one of his legs and Silas wrapped around his shoulders. Maybe they were being a little bit dumb ....but it was nice to mess around with the kids and just have some fun with them. And....he couldn't help that it would lift Maris spirits up a little bit too....she seemed like she could use it.

Mari wandered down stairs after a little while, bringing the washing down, though had to break for a moment to let Sage and the kids run past. A small smile pulled at her lips, though moved to the pantry to start washing up the clothes anyway. She wanted to watch for a while... they all seemed so happy, but she'd been slacking over the last few days, so thought she just needed to catch up a little bit.

Sage have Mari a grin as she moved to let them through, glad to see the smile form on her face. He continued to sort of just stomp around, laughing along with the kids, who were squealing happily every time he stomped or spun around or anything else. They really were just precious....and he did hope that whoever got the baby would love him like he loved Silas and Liz. He deserved someone like that. Soon enough, though, he'd run out of the kind of energy that the kids liked, so they ran off to play together happily, still squeaking, as he plopped down on the couch with a sort of tired but definitely happy groan.

Mari sort of hummed softly as she washed up, just happy to have a bit of time to relax. Herself. When she didn't have to worry so much about wvething. Sage seemed happier... so did the kids, she supposed. She could hear them giggling and talking and laughing... and it just made her happy. She wasn't really the parent that would rhn around with them. More so the parent that would scold them for making a mass or... something along those lines. But did did still make her happy to see them so relaxed. Or rather, hear them so relaxed. (Merry Christmas btw!!)

(Merry Christmas!) Once the kids had run off and sage had a chance to sit down, he'd landed on the couch with a grunt, sort of just catching his breath before shifting so he could see Mari, who was still working away in the kitchen. He felt himself still, and sort of just...stare at her as she worked. The idea of it seemed rather creepy.....but it was just nice to watch her do what she liked doing. She was still just so beautiful and graceful, and he admittedly felt a light blush form on his face as he watched her, for once not topping his fingers or jiggling his leg up and down. Just....sitting there. Watching her move around happily. It really was nice, and he was so lucky to have someone so graceful and happy and gentle...there were plenty of other good qualities she held, but those were the ones he could first think of. It did make him wonder why she'd wanted to marry him ....but he certainly wasn't gonna complain about it.

Mari sat on the floor for a while, sort of draining everything out and going to put it in a bucket to hang out to dry. Though, half way through she found herself sitting on the floor, just sort of staring into the now murky water infront if her. She didn't really know what else to do with herself. She was itching for something more, but she wasn't at all sure what. It was her birthday soon... which meant it was Liz's next. Surely that meant she could just start planning a little get together for her? But she needed to do something more physical. She eventually shook her head and grabbed the bucket before heading outside to get everything hung up.

Sage sort of just watched Mari, a soft smile on his face. She'd left by then, so after a minute or so he wandered to help her hang up clothes. He worked quietly for a minute before quietly speaking up. "you're still not happy with everything." It was more of a statement than a question...he knew her better than just not noticing she still wasn't great. But he kept his eyes lowered, honestly still quite afraid of her getting mad and yelling again. Because that's as the last thing he wanted to happen.

Mari sort of smiled at Sage when he appeared, eventually sort of keeping on with her work. Something to do, she thought... it wasn't anything much, but it was something. Something more than what she had been doing the last few days. She sort of sighed at his comment and shrugged, not too sure what to say in response to his statement. There wasn't really much to say, was there? She wasn't happy with everything. But she didn't really know what she was upset about. She knew Sage had apologised, but something about the whole situation irked her.
