So exciting Fawn!
Insignia Elites
I have always wanted a horse. I can 100% buy one right now but I know that the cost of the food, vet, shelter etc I don't have at the moment or at least I don't have enough that im comfortable that if something happened I can cover it. So I will wait :)

To top it off the dumped pit left in a crate at our gate is very mean and has tried biting all of us >.>
All Breeds
I'm looking at getting an AM puppy from a reputable breeder in Texas in the next few years and can't wait!
Whitewolf
Our intake this week: 9 dumped puppies, 9 kittens, 2 adult cats, 2 puppies found in the highway, 1 dumped pit, 5 baby birds taken to rehab, and 1 senior chihuahua found loose
All Breeds
The least expensive part of purchasing a pup is the price of the pup. As you said if they can't afford vet bills, food etc they shouldn't have a dog
Athelwood Estates
Oh geez. I always tell people animals and pets are a privilege and definitely not a right. So if you can't afford them or won't take care of them don't get them. It's simple. I breed Irish Setters and my application process is rigorous. If they complain about the cost upfront then I won't sell them a pup. If you can't afford the purchase price of a dog then you are in for a treat when you realize how much vet bills, food, grooming, and training cost.

Fawn it’s unfortunate for sure. Here we don’t barely ever get in actual pregnant dogs, we just get the puppies dumped in town >.> the rescues here are bad to let them be born to use as fundraising tools
All Breeds
I wish more rescues would do spay aborts rather than let the puppies be born unfortunately. Quite a few in our area let them have the puppies and then struggle to adopt them out.
Whitewolf
I just love how people let their dogs get knocked up and try to dump puppies on us every 6 months. We took in 24 animals this week :D including a dumped pit at the gate and 9 dumped puppies. And people wonder why we are overflowing with no room - we also only adopt out about one dog a week or 2. ($40 fee with spays and neuters)
Whitewolf
Especially when it’s something they could also usually easily do themselves lol
Athelwood Estates
Oh yeah. I am always confused as to why they think I can move heaven and earth for them, a stranger, to get their dog in for nail trim ASAP when we are totally slammed with other emergencies.
Athelwood Estates
I get the people part. I am a vet tech and people is the worst part of the job. I would take an aggressive dog or a ornery bull any day over a Karen
Whitewolf
I enjoy the animal part just not the coworker and rude public part. As you can imagine we’ve been cussed out etc many times. We write tickets like cops do but for animal issues.
