The girl sort of pouted at his first comment, though sort of moved onto her back when he flopped ontop of her. She saw him go to tilt his head up, and pressed another light few kisses to his neck. "And I'll enjoy giving you all that attention as soon as you get back," she mused lightly. The kids were bound to be awake by now anyway... and it would take Sage a few hours to do the horses, and by then it would be dinner time anyway... they could mess around more once the kids were in bed. She sort of ran his skin through her teeth after a moment before pressing another soft kiss to his skin and sort of hooking a finger through the rim of his pants and tugging him in a little. "If you're quick we might get to make up for those two weeks later, hm?" She asked in a really very sultry manner, only really teasing him right back.

Sage chuckled lightly on response to her next comment, letting out a sort of quiet squeak/yelp when he felt her nibble on his skin. He certainly hadn't expected that, though he was, of course, delighted about it....even if he was blushing. The blush really only deepened when he felt her tug him in and grinned in response to her comment about later. "Well in that case I'd better get to work," he chuckled in a rather joking manner. He sort of squeezed her though gently and pecked her lips happily in a sort of brief goodbye before moving to put an actual outfit on and wander out towards the barn, humming a light tune.

Mari sort of gave a childish giggle in response to his comment, and kissed him back happy before patting his back. "See you in a bit," she mused lightly to him. She crawled out of bed after a few minutes, cleaning up after the kids and after a little while going to get dinner on... Liz wanted shepherds pie, so she was more than happy to make it up for them. They all just seemed to be having a lazy day, so she eventually just flipped down on the sofa to rest for a little while, reading a book as she waited for dinner to be done.

Sage wandered out to the barn, feeding the horses happily and then letting them out one by one into their paddocks as they finished eating. He went to muck out stalls then, keeping a close eye on the horses, especially the mares that were in foal. Most of them were due in a few months, as spring was quickly turning into summer...and, of course, colic could always be a risk after eating, among other things. But....he just liked to watch them too. They just had a certain appeal to them out in the sun and on the grass as opposed to being in a stall. They seemed happier out there sometimes....and it was nice to see them play around. Soon enought though, it was dinner time, so he rounded all the horses up and secured them before going back to the house, greeting the kids and Mari happily befre sitting down for dinner. It was a quick meal, since it was later in the day...and once the kids had gone off to bed he pecked Mari on the lips from where she was finishing up dishes. "I am going to shower. Once you're done there, I fully expect to be caught up," he murmured in a lowered voice before slifing past her and moving upstaris happily, a smirk growing on his face.

Mari grinned at him after a moment or two, kind of digging into her food happily. She got comfortable on the table after a little bit, and soon enough they were all done, though, and she moved to kiss him back happily, then going to finish cleaning up. "Hmm... go get clean. I'll see you in a bit," she hummed back to him before shaking her head sodftly. She finished off cleaning after a bit, just happy to have a bit of quiet... but she was admittedly blushing a little bit, rushing to finish so she could get back to their room. Soon enough, though, she wandered upstairs after a bit, and moved to flop down in the chair happily.

Sage had chuckled soflty in response to her comment as he moved out of the kitchen and up the stairs, grabbing some clean clothes before showering quickly. He tried to remind himself Mari had work to do, so he could take a minute and relax in the warm water...but he found himself out in maybe ten or fifteen minutes. He dried off quickly and dressed in the same manner, though he wasn't all too sure that was necessary. It didn't matter, since he hadn't grabbed a shirt...it was warm enough to sleep without one, he'd supposed, but he still slid out of the bathroom, greeting Mari with a chirp as he rummaged through his drawer to find a tshirt comfortable to wear to bed.

Mari smiled lightly to him before watching him waddle across the room. He'd been in there a bit longer than normal, and he definitely seemed more relaxed. She sort of hummed in response to his hello, glancing up at him over her book before moving to hide behind her book again, not really reading now but rather staring at the pages as she settled down on the couch with a happy sort of hum.

Sage sort of grabbed a shirt after a bit, once he found one that was clean. Well, it smelled and looked clean, so he decided it was good enough. At least for now. He moved to flop onto the couch next to Mari, curling up next to her as he moved to untangle the ball of fabric that was his shirt...he'd grabbed it out of the pile of his clothes, from the corner of the bedroom. He wasn't exactly the neatest person alive but whatever. Once he got the shirt on though, he could snuggle in a bit more and peer over at the book in Maris hand. "Whatcha reading," he hummed.

Mari hummed softly in response to his comment sort of shrugging. Though, it took her moment to actually acknowledge he'd said something, though, and gave a small chuckle. "Oh, a book?" She chuckled lightly to him. "It's Peter Pan," she mused lightly, knowing it was a very childish book, but since she'd been reading them to the kids she'd actually started enjoying them now. She sort of patted the side of his head when he curled in, and turned to sort of cuddle up. "It's a good book," she added with a small chuckle.

He hummed lightly when the girl mentioned what the book was about, and he nodded in agreement. He'd heard bits and pieces of it when Mari would read to the kids....his reading skills were good enough to get through some paperwork for the horses when selling one came about....but it was still rather difficult, and he wasn't good at it at all, so he was just happy to sit there and watch her scan the pages rather than try and read and comprehend the actual story that was happening on the pages. He really didn't care what she was doing, as long as he could cuddle or get some kind of love out of it. He had missed her, a lot, so it was nice to just spend some time alone with her. Catch up on that weeks worth of affection, astehyd joked about earlier.
