Sage took a while to get down the hall....he was slow and sore and his movement was stopped with frequent tests where he had to sit there and wait to catch his breath and let his legs stop shaking. He'd done this forever though, and so he eventually made it down to the bathroom. At least he could sit down and rest for a bit there, too. Then he started the process of heading back, though by then he's heard the girl call him. "I'm out here. Coming back," he huffed. "slowly," he added after a moment, with a twinge of amusement in his voice.

Florida relaxed a little, following his voice until she could see him. "Do you need help?" she pulled her brown hair into a ponytail, reaching out for him and waiting there incase he needed her for stability. "is this as bad as it gets?" she asked, tilting her head a little. She couldn't imagine going through that much pain every month

Sage sort of waved off the girls concern, continuing to limp slowly back towards the bed. He probably looked terrible...he hadn't bothered to comb his hair or anything, and he was tired and just felt gross overall. "I'm alright," he noted through slight pants. "The more I move the less stuff I'll be later," he added. He couldn't do too much, of course, since his body was healing, but still. "Pretty much. The only time it's worse afterwards is if I choose to transform....then it's all forced suddenly," he explained. "Needless to say, I don't do that," he chuckled, plopping back down on the bed with a wheeze. "What about you? How are you holding up?"

Florida listened, her eyes scanning him. She was ready for even the slightest hint of him needing her help. When he got back to his bed, she sat on her bed and faced him. "Much better than you, that's for sure." she said softly. Her stomach grumbled but she ignored it. For some reason she felt like she needed to stay with Sage and help him as much as she could, even if he didn't want or need it.

Sage chuckled softly and nodded. "Physically maybe," he mused, cocking his head slightly. "But there's a war going on, and I just...want to make sure you're really ok," he added with a sort of sigh. "It'll mess you up for life of you let it," he added softly, dropping his gaze to stare at his hands as he fiddled with his hands in his lap. He didn't really mean to get too personal, but ....he did care for her. About her. Whatever. He just.....wanted to make sure she was ok. She'd helped him, and he wanted to help her. But all he knew was his job. Helping people physically and occasionally mentally. He just cut them open to patch them up. He wasn't good with emotions or feelings, and he had never had a friend or anything, and ..well, frankly he was scared about the whole thing. What if she left? What if she got hurt? Or worse?

"what do we do? about the war? do we stay here? do we run? what if we get bombed? what if we die?" there were so many questions that she hadnt meant to say outloud. she laid back on the bed but looked back over at Sage

Sage could feel his eyebrows rise as the girl started asking all those questions. "I don't know," he admitted softly, shaking his head as he flopped over with a sigh, looking over at the girl. "it's not allowed to bomb hospitals in a war," he pointed out with a shrug. "I think this is our best chance. I just don't know how bad or good it's going to get. Or for how long," he sighed. Maybe it wasn't everything she wanted to hear, but it was the truth. And he would appreciate the truth if he were her.

Florida took a deep breath, seemingly accepting defeat. They were going to be stuck in the hospital surrounded by dying people as they struggled to stay alive. "How much food is there? How long could we last?" She asked as her stomach grumbled a little. She was a little shakey from not eating the night before, but she pushed herself to fight the weakness.

Sage hummed in response to her comment, cocking his head. "I'm not sure....the cafeteria is full, plus the fridge and freezer, and the storage areas in the back," he noted. "We could last for a long time here," he added. Then he wrinkled his nose. "Speaking of food....I'm starving," he groaned, flopping over onto his back with a grunt of pain. "I don't really want to move though," he added with a sort of grumble. Maybe he was lazy, but he'd jsut wandered around a bit, and now he was tired. He did need to eat though, so he sort of prepared himself mentally to force his body to work until he could get there and then, hopefully, make it back after.

"You don't have to get up. I'll bring something to you." She pushed herself up, making her way through the hospital down to the cafeteria. She rummaged through the kitchen to find something edible and pulled out a large bowl of mac n' cheese. She prepped it with hot water and threw it in a microwave then brought it back to the room, shoving the two spoons into the bowl. "This was all I could find" she announced as she sat down at the foot of his bed. "here. Its kinda warm"
