Mari smiled to him and pecked his head softly. "You were definitely a kid, babe," she murmured to him gently before shrugging to him. She knew he had to grow up too soon, and they didn't have much time to be kids together, not before Silas... but it was definitely nice when they had that time. But Sage was still just a kid before they'd met, and as far as she was concerned, he'd never acted like one either. "It's gone fast," she mused lightly to him. She then nodded in agreement. "I'm sure it will," she mused to him softly. She then gave him a bit of a giggle. "Well next time you can do it," she teased softly to him before shaking her head.

Sage sirt of hummed and shrugged in response to her comment, trying to think when he'd been able to act like a kid. It was, in all honesty, probably after he and Mari had first met, that he could really just be himself without worrying. Even when he was with Mari, he still worried....about liz when she was still here, Att, being caught by someone, what would happen when he went back....he was never as worry free as he was as he got to know Mari. But they could let loose a littel over this trip of theirs. And it would be very, very nice. He winced slightly when she mentioned him doing it all next time and chuckled slightly. "I'm not sure I or the baby would manage to survive the birth," he half joked. "I don't think i'd ever get it out of me," he added, voive laced with amusement. Though, it almost hurt to imagine him giving birth as he glanced down at himself.

Mari sort of hummed and turned to rest her chin on his head, just sort of cuddling up. She was a bit excited. They'd only had a small time to act like kids, barely a few months before Silas, but whenever they got away for a while she knew they could let loose a bit. In all honesty, she'd still worry sick for the kids, but it still made her happy to be gone for a while. She sort of grinned over to him before shaking her head. "I dunno. I think it'd all be fine," she teased before sort of shaking her head. "I nearly died the first time, it's your turn now," she joked lightly to him.

Sage hummed lightly when Mari turned to curl up, nestling in happily before chuckling in response to her comment. "I'll take getting shot defending you guys and almost dying that way," he noted with slight amusement, recalling how close he'd come to being killed getting Silas back. It had been a whole process....from getting caught, to beaten, to loosing his baby....then getting shot and losing his sight. Well half of it, but whatever. He'd adapted pretty well to it by now, so it wasn't completely awful. "I've almost died more than enough times," he mused, thinking back even further to the streets and the tavern and all of that. "So I'll pass on that way to taunt death," he chuckled.

Mari sort of grinned and moved to wrap an arm around him. "What, you don't fancy cheating death any more?" She mused before going to wrap an arm around him happily. They wouldn't be having any more kids, though, she knew that much at least. They'd tried to take another one in... but the situation just wasnt ideal. She still felt bad about it, but she was trying to just relax about the whole thing now. The difference just irked her that somehow Sage had managed to make a kid while they where still together. She knew it wasn't her fualt, but the kid just didn't bring very much joy to the either of them. He represented something awful, even if it wasn't the childs fualt at all. She still wondered if he was okay, though.

Sage sort of groaned in response to her comment and chuckled, shaking his head. "God, no, I'm too old for that," he mused. "Unless it's something fun. Like cliff jumping or something like that," he admitted with a shrug. "Then I suppose it'll be ok." Then he grinned over at her. "and you'd better believe I'm dragging you along with me for that," he added, really just teasing her a bit. If she really didn't want to do something like that, he certainly wasn't going to make her. But he thought it would be fun anyway. And they'd get to act like kids a bit, so their anniversary trip was the time to try something like that. So why not.

The girl pouted at his comment sort of moved to curl into him. She then furrowed her brows with a bit of a chuckle. "Ahw, babe, we're not that old, you know," she teased gently before pecking his nose lightly. She wrinkled her nose at the thought of cliff jumping, but gave a thoughtful hum. "Well, hun, you know that is exactly what cheating death is, hm?" She mused before rolling onto her side. "But you can drag me down with you if you'd like. Because there's no other way I'll be doing that," she chuckled lightly to him.

Sage chuckled lightly and hummed in thought in repsonse to her comment. "Old enough," he mused with a shrug. Though, at her next comment he cackled lightly and gave her a grin. "At least it's fun though," he chirped, before grinning even wider at her last part of her comment. "You can't say no now," he chuckled, before patting her leg and sitting up with a groan. "I'll book the cabin tomorrow. For now why don't we get to bed," he suggested, glancing at the clock, which led nearly 11 by then.

Mari huffed to him. "Old enough," she repeated with a small chcuhle before moving to sit up again. "Fun chasing death. Cool, cool, cool, it's not like we have kids at home or anything," she teased softly before shaking her head and sort of moving to offer him her hand. "I'll get the travel and things sorted," she chirped to him before pattering off to bed, where she flopped down to rest.

Sage simply chuckled in repsonse to her comment, shrugging. "Well, I figure if I've lived this long something's up there pulling the strings to keep me that way so I can do what I want," he noted with amusement as he followed her up the stairs. He nodded in repsonse to her last comment, pecking her cheek and then flopping down on the bed with a grunt and looking over at her happily. "we can head out in a day or two," he hummed. "whenever."
