Mari smiled softly to him before moving to him before sort of moving to curl into him. "I certainly wouldn't be surprised. The amount of times you've escaped deaths claws, someone must be looking out for you," she mused before settling down. She was definitely excited. In the next few days, they'd be away... somewhere different. She'd never been over seas before, so this was just so... exciting for her, she supposed.

Sage sort of hummed lightly and shrugged. "Sometimes I feel like whoever's keeping me alive is just keeping me here to see how much I can take," he noted softly. "Things have gotten better though...you, and the kids, and the horses..." He sort of trailed off then with a content huff of air as he moved to slide under the blankets tiredly and give Mari a sleepy grin. "Get some sleep, hun, the next couple days will be kind of busy," he hummed, closing his eyes. (If you ever want to skip ahead, I don't mind btw)

Mari sort of gave a tired little smile to him before shrugging. "Well I think you can take more than most can," she whispered softly to him as she settled down. She conked out soon enough, though. Just as Sage had said, thinks had gotten busy in the last few days. They were packing and sorting help for the horses and the kids, but despite all of that she was so, so excited. She didn't know what exactly to pack, but she didn't have much so it was quite literally half of her wardrobe at this point. But she still couldn't wait. They'd be leaving in the next hour or so, so it wasn't like she'd have long left.

Sage sort of gave the girl a tired grin in repsonse to her comment. He appreciated it....but he'd been able to take more than most because he'd had no choice. And he hadn't exactly done it very well, admittedly. But he drifted off soon enough, and before he knew it they were both deciding if they had everything they needed, for themselves and the kids, and making sure the horses were settled one last time before heading out to drop the kids off at the doctor's. They'd spend a couple days there, then Edith would pick them up for the last few days, giving he and Mari a little over a week away.

Mari let Sage go and drop the kids off while she finished off packing, and greeted him with a very excited hug when he came back. She sort of grinned and moved to peck his lips happily. "Ready to go?" She asked, practically buzzing now. They didn't have too long left now, and they needed to catch the ferry in an hour and a bit, so they did need to get moving sooner or later.

Sage was more than happy to drop the kids off and chat with the doctor for a bit before heading back home quickly. He greeted Mari happily, grinning over at her when he received her rather exuberant greeting. He was excited too, of course, so he nodded happily and cast a glance at all the luggage they'd packed. "Everything ready to go," he asked, figuring it would be fine but that it would be good to make sure.

Mari gave a little grin and nodded to him. "All ready!" She chirped to him before sort of moving to grab all of their things. "We need to get going," she added after a moment or two. She'd packed a lunch for them, though they could probably get some food on the ferry... it would take just over a day to get there, so they would be staying over night and arrivng early in the morning. Still, the girl was just... buzzing. She'd wanted to travel a little bit her whole life, so she was definetly more exctied than she maybe shoulf have been.

Sage simply gave the girl a wide grin in response and moved to grab as many of their bags as he could, carrying them out to the wagon and setting them in the back before taking the rest of them from Mari, who had followed him out with the rest. He got everything in the wagon as she closed the house and locked up, and then they were on their way out to the place they were staying overnight. They'd continue the next morning, and then board the ship the next morning. There was a stall area on board the ship, so the stallion would be coming with them, which put his mind at ease a bit more. He was quite excited about it all...he wasn't sure how much sleep they'd actually get, but it would all be worth it he thought.

Mari smiled softly to him before moving to plop down next to him. It took about an hour and a half for them all to arrive, and Sage got Chaos got all settled while she found their room for the night. It was about five minutes away from the port, so it wouldn't take long in the morning... but for now they could get some food and get to sleep for an early morning... she was just getting more and more excited about all of this. To see somewhere different... somewhere new. She really couldn't be any more thrilled about all of this.

Sage was more than happy to hear off, and then get back to the room once they finally arrived. Chaos was tired too, so he made sure to give him some extra love and care while putting him away, but it was worth it. The horses had done a good job, and had pulled them almost 50 miles that day, and would do more work tomorrow. He was relieved to wander into their room at the hotel and just...flop onto the bed though, once he'd put all their luggage down. He let out a relieved huff of air and closed his eyes wearily, though opened them after a second to look over at Mari and grin. "Halfway there, babe," he mused, sort of lacing is fingers to put under his head and cross his legs where he was laying.
