Sage hummed and nodded absentmindedly in response to her comment, still just peering into the water to see....well, whatever he could see. "I thought of that too," he msued lightly. "I have so many ideas," he groaned, shaking his head. "I don't want to spend our entire getaway doing art though," he chuckled. He wanted to do it all right now, but he also wanted to spend time with Mari....he was just a bit excited about it all, he supposed. "It makes me wanna dive right in the water and just float along next to the boat," he noted with amusement. Of course, that would never happen...the boat was going faster than that. But whatever. They'd have a whole island to do whatever the heck they wanted to do in just a few hours or so.

Mari gave a small chuckle and shrugged. "We'll keep it all in your head. You can do a bunch of paintings when we get home," she hummed happily to him. "And I'm sure we can get some fancy paints or something while we're out here, so don't worry," she hummed to him gently. She looked over at the sea happily, the litle islands getting closer and closer. "But I do want to spend some time with you while you're not covered in paint," she chuckled softly. She sort of pouted at him. "Babe? I don't really want you lost out at sea," she giggled lightly.

Sage sort of chuckled and nodded. "I know," he mused lightly. "We'll get home and I'll somehow manage to have like a hundred paintings going at one time," he noted with a chuckle, moving to sort of just lean his forearms on the rail and squinted over at the islands they could see. Was that where they'd be? He was certainly excited. He glanced over at her with a grin when she spoke up again. "What, you don't think getting paint all over you would work in bed," he teased, a mischievous light sparking in his eyes for a moment. "Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere. We still have to have some fun," he chuckled.

Mari smiled happily to him, and sort of nudged him with a small chuckle. "Means we can do some more things with the kids with you bringing in more money with your gorgeous paintings," she giggled happily. She stared at him for a moment, sort of giving a small hum as she watched him. The soft breeze in his hair and the sun behind him made for a pretty picture itself. She was a bit taken aback by his comment, though, and gave a happy little giggle. "I dunno, it might," she joked lightly before shrugging. "I'm hoping you're gonna have more fun with me on some remote island rather than floating off into sea," she chuckled to him lightly.

Sage chuckled lightly and nodded. "Those kids get spoiled rotten," he noted with a snort, though it was a rather find one, of course. Admittedly, there was still the nagging worry he wasn't a good enough father to them...his own father was so awful, and he never wanted to make his babies feel unwanted or anything. So he spoiled them quite a bit....he was just scared they'd get upset with him and wind up like he and his father. It wasn't realistic, he knew that, but it was still unnerving a bit. Sage chuckled in response to her comment and hummed lightly. "well I for one don't want to get paint everywhere and then have to pay to replace things," he chuckled. Then he gave her a grin. "Don't you worry, I'd be missing out on too much to run off and float away on you," he mused. "being on some remote island just you and me is like a dream come true. I can do whatever the heck I want," he chuckled.

Mari pouted at him and gave a bit of a hum. "Those kids deserve to be spoilt rotten," she chucked lightly before moving to stand up a bit. It was true, she supposed... there was a time when Silas only had a crib, in the tiniest room imaginable. Of course, he'd never remember any of it, but she felt like being able to give these kids everything was the very least they could do for them. Mari gave him a cheeky looking grin and nodded. "Hmm... I feel like paint being everywhere wouldn't be amazing," she hummed in thought before moving to peck his cheek happily. "Anything you want? Thats only slightly terrifying," she mused lightly before taking his hand. "Come on. I want to look at some of the gift shops," she chirped happily.

Sage chuckled lightly and nodded, humming softly. "they're good kids," he agreed fondly. He wrapped his arms around her waist when she moved to stand next to him and he chuckled in response to her comment. "Paint belongs in certain places and someone else's house isn't one of them," he noted in a slightly amused manner. Though when Mari declared she wanted to move on, he nodded happily and looped an arm around hers, following her back into the ship. Admittedly, he sort of forgotten there was more to see....but he was eager to move on and take a peek now that he remembered there was more out there. Or...in there, rather, but that was irrelevant.

Mari chuckled lightly to him before shaking her head. "We make good children," she chirped happily to him. She wrinkled her nose at him playfully after a moment before shaking her head. "Or my bed," she chuckled lightly to him before shaking her head lightly. She tugged him past the pool, which was pretty in itself, but soon enough they made it to the little shops. She shooed Sage off to have a look around. It wasn't busy, and if he liked something he could grab it... she wanted some little mementos or something to take back home with them.

Sage chuckled lightly and hummed with a nod. "We quite enjoyed ourselves while making them too," he added rather mischievously. Then he chuckled at her comment about her bed and nodded, though was soon enough distracted by all the fun things in the shops. He wandered off after a bit, and when he noticed a set of pajamas that looked rather cozy, he grabbed them for Mari and himself....it was a cut thought to have matching pajamas he supposed. Plus they looked comfortable. He also grabbed a set of pearl jewelry and hair clips for her....but he'd surprise her with that later. He found a ornament too, that he got for their Christmas tree. That would be nice. He wandered back to her side soon enough though, happy with how things had gone

Mari shot him a look, but was more amused than anything. "Hunny, there was no need for that," she giggled lightly before going to look around. There were lots of cool things around... she wanted to get something for the kids, too, but there would probably be some nicer things on the island that they'd like. She picked up some turkish delights to snack on whenever they arrived, too, a new shirt for Sage and a couple of little decorations for the house. It wasn't much but they could get more on the way back or when they arrived. She went to pay before seeking out Sage... wherever they were.
