Jora tilted her head slightly, her gaze flickering over Sage with an amused smirk. She knew exactly what he was doing—trying to brush off the moment with humor, but she wasn’t about to let him off that easily. "Sure, sure," she teased, crossing her arms with a playful glint in her eyes. "You definitely tried real hard to get me to leave you alone." She chuckled, leaning back a little as she studied him. At the mention of the little girl, Jora's smile softened, and she couldn't help but nod in agreement. "She’s got that fire in her, doesn’t she?" Her voice softened, a trace of fondness creeping in as she thought about the tiny warrior. "I’ve got no doubt she'll be something incredible."

Sage sort of chuckled in response to her comment, wrinkling his nose slightly. "You were the one who followed me back to my ship," he noted, still clearly teasing her. She'd saved his life probably, but he was taking the opportunity to tease her anyway. Though, he nodded at her next comment, a grin crossing his face. "She definitely will," he hummed, sort of just resting his head against Joras shoulder. It wasn't long after that they'd gotten restless though, and decided to go for that walk. Jora had grabbed a few snacks, just in case, and some water, while he grabbed what the baby might need, and then they headed out, really just wandering around wherever they felt like going.

Jora rolled her eyes at Sage's teasing, nudging him lightly with her shoulder. "Oh, really? You’re going to go there? As if you didn’t lead me straight to that ship," she shot back, a playful smirk tugging at the corners of her mouth. Her tone was light, but she couldn't help the small laugh that escaped her as she thought about the way they'd ended up in this situation. She had, of course, followed him, but it was definitely a mutual thing. When he rested his head on her shoulder, Jora just let out a soft hum, not minding the contact in the slightest. She gave a quiet chuckle at his comment about the baby. "Well, with her around, we’ll be more than prepared for anything, I’m sure," she replied, feeling a warmth in her chest as she thought about the little one. There was something incredibly comforting about how effortless everything felt with Sage, even when their surroundings were uncertain. As they started walking, Jora adjusted the snacks in her bag, making sure everything was set before giving a glance over at Sage. "This feels nice, doesn’t it? Just... no rush, no expectations." She smiled, looking forward to wherever their steps would take them next.

Sage had just grinned voer at Jora with a nod, their playful banter lifting his spirits in the way it always did. "I just wanted the food from your hold," he huffed. "Instead I got a whole woman," he added, nuding her lightly. There were a few more back and forth statements, before they'd sort of moved to start getting ready for the walk, still in pretty good spirits. At her comment, he nodded, looking around with a soft smile lingering on his face. "i've missed it here," he murmured softly. "The ocean, the forest...all of it," he added with a small shake of his head. "The quiet." He held her hand loosely as they walked, the other hand cradling Lyra in it, since Jora had grabbed the bags. He figured the bags weighed about the same as the baby, so he may as well grab one of them. It was a slightly amusing thought at the time, but for now, he was just glad to be out in nature with his family. Show Lyra around their home, even if she probbaly wouldn't remember any of it once she grew up. But this would still be her home. She'd grow up here. And he couldn't help but delight in sharing it with her.

Jora smiled softly as she walked alongside Sage, the peaceful rhythm of their steps grounding her. The familiar sound of the ocean waves crashing, the rustling of the trees in the breeze—it all wrapped around her like a comfort she hadn’t realized she was missing. She glanced up at Sage, her heart swelling at the sight of him holding Lyra in his arms. There was something so right about this, the three of them together, out here, in the quiet. Her hand rested in his, the weight of the bags in his other hand a small, almost amusing detail. She chuckled lightly, the thought crossing her mind that they seemed to weigh about the same as the baby. But it didn’t matter. The quiet beauty of the moment was more than enough to make everything else fade away. Lyra might not remember this first walk, but it didn’t matter. This would always be her home—the place where she’d grow up, surrounded by the ocean and the forest. And Jora couldn’t help but delight in the thought of showing her this world, even if it was through the filter of Sage’s arms and the soft touch of her own hand in his. There was a deep, quiet joy in knowing that Lyra’s life would be shaped by these places.

Sage wandered along happily, just enjoying the peace of it all. He wasn't sure what to look at ... The forest around him, Jora, it the baby, who was looking about at the world with wide eyes. She was clearly amazed at it all, and he couldn't help but he happy she liked it. This was her home and it would prove to be very difficult for it to be home of the baby decided she didn't like something about it like the woods or the sand or.... Whatever else you could think of. "We're almost back to normal," he hummed after a while, just thinking through the events that had happened. It had been over a year that they'd hadn't been home. Hadn't been truly where they wanted to be. And now they are back, with with whole family. Plus one, he supposed, if she decided to stay. But he liked Selene, and she wasn't bothersome at all. They were getting married too, but they'd already promised each other they'd stay together forever. So he had to do was heal.

Jora walked alongside Sage, a soft smile tugging at her lips as she watched the baby’s awe-struck gaze sweep over the world. The woods, the sand, the gentle breeze—it was all so simple, yet so perfect, especially now that they were all together again. She could feel her heart settle, the weight of everything that had been undone by time and distance now slowly mending with each step forward. Sage’s hum broke her thoughts, and she nodded softly. “Almost,” she agreed, her voice carrying a hint of both relief and contentment. “We’re almost there.” A year of being apart, of not truly having a place to call home, had felt like a lifetime, but now... now it felt like they could finally breathe. Like they could start again. The baby babbled happily, tugging at Jora’s sleeve and pointing at something that caught her attention—a bird, maybe, or a flower. She smiled at the sight. Life was returning to its rhythm, and she couldn’t help but feel the warmth of it all. “She’ll love it here,” Jora said, her eyes flicking between Sage and their daughter, then to the expansive world around them. “She’ll grow up with the woods and the sand, all of it. Just like we did.” Sage's mention of “almost back to normal” lingered in the air. She knew that healing would take time. For all of them. But they had each other. “We have everything we need now,” she whispered, as if reaffirming it to herself. She reached for his hand, fingers brushing softly, and smiled up at him.

Sage just nodded softly, looking around with a soft smile on his face. It had taken so long....but they were home, and he was healing, and things were looking much better than they had been even just a week ago. He wasn't afraid to admit that he was definitely ready for some normalcy....that seemed like something that would be so far away for a while there. But not anymore. They were figuring it out. Healing. Learning. The baby's babble pulled a laugh out of him, and he pecked the little girls head, cooing some sort of nonsense at her about whatever it was she'd seen. At Joras comment though, he grinned back at her, squeezing her hand lightly with a nod. "It's good to be home," he agreed softly.

Jora watches her fiancé with her daughter, both the lights of her life. She looks around as they walk. "She'll be talking soon in no time" she chuckles. "She's such a daddy's girl" she teases.

Sage grinned over at Jora, nodding happily. "I'm sure she'll be the smarted little girl out there," he noted with a chuckle. Though, when she mentioned she'd be a daddys girl, he just hummed lightly and shrugged. "I wouldn't mind that," he noted lightly. Admittedly, she already had him wrapped around her little finger, so he supposed it was probably going to be accurate.
