Sage sort of chuckled I'm response to her comment, a light blush covering his face when she ran her hands down his chest. Maybe it was just the clothes they were wearing that seemed toake him feel it more....but then again he got flustered easy anyway. It didn't matter all that much he supposed. He sort of just chuckled in response to her comment and hummed slightly. "They're meant to make anyone look appealing," he mused. "And you're biased," he added with a chuckle, though moved to wade into the waves a bit with her. Of course, after a bit of standing there, he felt rather mischievous, so he scooped her up, tossed her over his shoulder, and marched deeper into the water, fully intending to dump her in it once he got deep enough. Of course, when he slung her off of him, the wave knocked him over too, and they wound up sprawled on the beach together, laughing.

Mari giggled lightly to him when he picked her up, and sort of the thrashed about when he waded further into the water, kind of pleading to be put down. Though, when she finally was, it was more being chucked into the water. She giggled childishly and went to crawl back onto the sand when he washed up, and kind of flopped down next to him, the most stupid laugh escaping her after not too long. She took a moment to catch her breath to sort of roll over, and gave him a grin. "How well did that work for you?" She asked, another laugh escaping her.

Sage sort of looked over at the girl when she moved closer to him, still chuckling slightly. "well I got you wet," he mused, still laughing slightly. "It's just I got me wet too," he hummed in amusement. He sort of propped himself up with his forearm, shifting himself to face Mari, a stupid grin still stretched over his face. "Stop making fun of me," he whined dramatically, rolling over to sort of flop on her. "You're so awful to me," he groaned. Really, he supposed he was just in a playful mood....though playing around usually got him some love from the girl, which was nice, even if it was just a peck. It was rather silly hoe often he wanted those creature comforts.....but he decided not to think about it too much or he'd overthink things. And he just wanted to enjoy himself.

Mari cocked her head over at him before giving a laugh. "You managed to get yourself all wet and I didn't even pick you up," she teased him lightly, then sort of looked at him with a bewildered look. "You tried to drown me!" The girl exclaimed with a laugh, then sort of put on a more serious look. "But you're so easy to make fun of," she complained to him before flopping back in the sand and putting a dramatic hand on her forehead.

Sage sort of rolled his eyes and fake pouted up at the girl, huffing out an exaggeration breath. "I'm not used to waves," he complained, though his voice was still laced with amusement. He groaned at her next comment though, and poked her arm gently. "You, Mari, are a cruel human being," he teased her lightly, flopping onto the sand next to her. "But if it makes you smile like that I really can't complain," he noted in a slightly more serious note, pecking her on the lips lightly before rolling into his back on the sand next to her and grabbing her hand in his happily. "You're always so pretty when you smile," he hummed, resting his head on her shoulder lightly.

Mari smiled to him with a small chuckle before shaking her head at him. "I feel like you should have known they tend to be quite strong," she mused to him, and sort of moved to run a light hand through his hair. "Me?! Cruel? Earlier I was a dear," she commented to him with a small chuckle. She couldn't help her stupid little grin at his next comments and hummed in response to kiss happily. She didn't really know what to say to him in response... all she could do was smile. "Even though I'm the most awful person ever," she asked in a slightly quieter voice when he rested his head on her, and sort of moved to peck his cheek happily anyway.

Sage sort of chuckled in response to her comment and shrugged. "I got ahead of myself. That's not exactly unusual, now is it," he noted with amusement. Then he whacked her lightly and gave her another rpout. "You're both," he huffed. It really made no sense and he knew it, but it was all he could think of to say. It was sort of funny anyway, so he didn't care too much. He chuckled slightly and sort of just hummed in response to her next comment, letting the conversation just flow away a bit as they lay there. He was just glad to relax.

Mari hummed gently to him before moving to peck his cheek once he'd given her a playful wack. "How can I be an awful person and your lovely wife at the same time? Doesn't really figure if you ask me," she chuckled to him playfully. "Maybe you're just horrible. You know, for trying to drown me," she chuckled lightly as she sort of moved to run a hand down his back playfully. It was just fun to be able to mess about a bit. Travelling was fun, but she was so, so glad to finally be able to rest here a little bit.

Sage sort of chuckled in response to her comment. "You're talented I'm sure you can manage it," he hummed lightly. He snickered when she mentioned him dumping her in the water and pecked her cheek happily. "You should have guess I was going to do that," he pointed out. He didn't exactly hide the fact that he often messed around when he got the chance. Though, once he felt her hand on his back, he sort of just settled down, happy to just lay there with her. "I never thought we'd wind up cuddling on the beach on our very own island," he hummed in slight amusement after a minute or so.

The girl pouted to him playfully before kind of shrugging. "I thought you loved me enough not to do it," she sighed dramatically before kind of going to cock her head. It was really nice... and she never thought she'd get to travel at all in this life time, let alone somewhere so great with someone she loved so much. She sighed contently and nodded in agreement. "It's pretty insane," she agreed with a small chuckle. It was insane. That Sage had managed to do all this... that in just a few years their whole life had managed to turn into something so good.
