Sage chuckled lightly in response to her first couple comments, nodding in amusement. "I took enjoy staying alive and healthy," he mused lightly. He hummed in agreement with her last comment before just leaning against her legs again happily, closing his eyes again with a soft but content huff of air. He just really enjoyed this time with her. It was so nice. He did miss the kids, of course, but he appreciated the time they had just the two of them. And nothing was better than seeing how happy it allade Mari. All the hard work was definitely worth it all. No doubt she'd be happy to know he'd done extra paintings to pay for it, so they hadn't used any savings either. But he didn't want to bring that up.

The girl sort of cocked her head and gave a small hum. "Yeah, I like it when you're alive too," she huffed jokingly, sort of smiling as he moved to settle down. It was sweet, it really was, and she wasn't super sure why she felt like that. That he could just relax with her. He was her husband, but she still felt a sort of joy that she was the person he could do that with. She moved to press a light kiss to his nose and started tracing shapes along his chest, really just relaxing a bit more.

Sage sort of chuckled in response to her comment, humming lightly when she pecked his nose before just closing his eyes again as her fingers started moving on his chest again. It was something he was rather sued to....though it never stopped to be something he always enjoyed. He just relaxed for a while, before opening his eyes to peer back at her happily once the water started to cook down. "You about ready to finish up in here and get dinner," he asked quietly, not wanting to disturb the peace but they still had to wash and eat, and it was late by then.

Mari smiled lightly to him before shrugging and going to slip out from underneath him. "Sure," she chuckled lightly to him, sort of washing up before moving to chuck him a hot towl. She looked over at him curiously before cocking her head. "What are you wanting for dinner?" She asked with a cocked head. Honestly, it was kinda nice just relaxing. It was warm, too... so it wasn't like they had to try and get warm.

Sage sort of nodded in response to her comment and then moved so she could wash up. He washed up too, and then caught the towel she'd tossed his way before drying off and wandering over to the bag to get the matching pajamas he'd gotten on the ship, tossing hers her way before sliding into his own. "Oh, I don't care," he mused lightly. "Whatever we eat, we should eat it outside. It'll be nice out."

Mari rolled her eyes at him before shaking her head softly. "I should have known that," she chuckled lightly to him before sort of moving to press a softer kiss to his lips. She nodded in agreement and wandered into the kitchen, which was pretty massive. She grinned and had a look through all the cupboards, which by then were fully stocked. She quickly made up something really simple before humming and taking it all out side. This place just seemed to get prettier, if she was honest.

Sage sort of chuckled lightly in response to her comment but kissed her back happily, stealing another peck before helping put something together. He grabbed some glasses and water to bring out too, then he noticed a drink on the corner of the counter, that looked somewhat delicious from how he glanced at it. So he grabbed that too....it would be nice to sip at after dinner. He set everything down in the table in the porch next to Mari, pouring water in the glasses first and then plopping down next to her with a content sigh. Mari brought the food out after a bit, and it wasn't really until he sat down next to her that she noticed they had matching pyjamas on. She grinned over to him, sipping on the water before looking out over the sea, just watching the wolf go by. It all felt so... slow all of a sudden, and it was sort of nice. Everything back home had gone so fast, all the time, but a moment to themselves where they had space ti actually breath was really nice, even if it was just for a short while.

Sage sort of settled back on the chair, more than content to just relax for a bit. He'd thought how nice it was a thousand times by now, of course, but he supposed he just didn't get the chance to do it like this much. He obviously loved the kids, and enjoyed caring for them and the horses and Mari more than anything....but being able to not have to act responsible for a week or so with Mari at his side was special. It wasn't often they'd get to do that. And tomorrow was their actual anniversary...so he fully planned on spoiling her rotten. He'd bought gifts and hid them, so they were here right under her nose. He was really excited about it all too....he loved her so, so much and he wanted to just spoil her for a while.

Mari ate quietly, eventually going to rest her head on her hand as she looked out across the sea. It wa sso beautiful... she didn't know how lucky she was, even if she thought she did. It was such a long time since they'd been able to relax like this. They'd had Silas when they'd first met, and they'd had their honeymoon but.. that was sort of it. They'd had Liz shortly after that too. But this would be nice... hopefully.
