Sage chuckled softly and nodded with a light hum. "I know. You're too nice to do much more than spit fire at them," he half teased. "that's partly what I love about you so much though," he admitted softly after a moment. "you're always nice, even if you get mad at someone." He sort of shrugged before pecking her lips lightly. "Of course you have many other wonderful characteristics as well," he added with a kind of giggle. Then he wrinkled his nose and nodded. "I didn't enjoy that much either," he mused lightly before grunting in agreement to her comment about the drink.

The woman looked over at him with a light smile. "Yeah, you're sorta lucky I'm nice most of the time," she mused before taking another small sip of of the wine. It was so strange... it wasn't even five yet, and they were already sat on a beach drinking out of pretty little glasses. The idea of it all really just amused her, if she was completely honest. She glanced over at the man and gave a grin. "I'd hope not. You know, since it was out honey moon and all," she chuckled and gave a grin. "And you're pretty friendly yourself in your old age," she chirped teasingly.

Sage sort of chuckled in response to her comments, bobbing his head up and down in a sort of lazy nod. "It would be a rather bad time to flirt with someone besides you," he mused. "I could at least have the decency to wait a couple days," he joked, knowing full well neither of them would be flirting with anyone besides eachother. He snorted in response to her last comment, though, wrinkling his nose slightly. "I prefer to think of it as gaining wisdom, not age," he noted with amusement. "Though I never expected to live this long so I'm not too upset about it," he noted with a sort of twinkle in his eyes.

Mari pouted at him. "I wish you did have that sort of decency... barely a day into your honey moon and you had some random woman on your lap. It's not really on, now is it Sage," she yelped sarcastically, a very amused look on her face. She glanced over at him with a cocked her. "Honey you can't really gain much more wisdom. The part of the brain that stores it all doesn't have that kind of capability any more," she joked lightly, her brows furrowing softly at his next comment, and moved to peck his lips lightly. "I'm just glad you are actually still here.

Sage sort of just chuckled in response to her teasing and then hummed lightly in response to her comment about gaining wisdom. "I'm not sure my brain has capabilities besides making me feel shitty and question my life choices," he noted with amusement. Of course, she knew he wasn't saying he was questioning marrying her or having the kids or anything...so he could say that. Though, he smiled softly in response to her peck and chuckled quietly before nodding with a slight hum. "Me too," he agreed softly. He wouldn't have agreed with her a few years ago, and if he was completely honest he'd probably argue that comment in the moment on a bad day.....so it was nice to know he didn't really feel that way anymore. Freeing, in a way.

Mari pouted at him and sort of bumped his side in a playful manner. "Alright, I see how it is," she chuckled softly to him before moving to peck his lips again. She was just glad he wasn't trying to argue with her on that one. She really was just glad that he was still here with her. There'd been so many times where she wasn't sure if that would be the case, but here he was, where he'd always been, right by her side. It did make her happy, just to have him there with her for a little while.

He sort of just chuckled lightly in response to her comment and hummed in response to her peck, moving to plant another lingering kiss to her lips happily before setting the now empty class to the side and flopping onto the blanket, just happy to be able to be where it was nice and warm. And of course, having Mari here with him made it all the better. He was surprised sometimes, how good things were going. But he certainly wasn't going to complain about it all. (A bit after they get back, maybe a month or so?, I was thinking we could have sage get sick and almost die? Just to add some drama? Idk lmk lol)

(Yeah, I kinda love that aha) The girl sighed and moved to press a few ligher kisses to his lips, then sort of settled down again with a small hum. She was just aort of drowsy, but refilled her glass anyway... but was pacing herself for that night. She sort of just stared up at the sky and gave a small sigh before moving to rest her head sort of on his chest, just letting out a deep breath, clearly glad to relax for a little while.

(lol, I was thinking he could go into some kind of respiratory failure, from the tavern smoke so his lungs are crap. I'm still thinking on it but yeah) Sage sort of hummed happily in response to her kisses, kissing her back and then wrapping his arms around her when she settled up against him. He let out a content breath and closed his eyes, more than happy to lay here and cuddle, and let the sun and warmth from the sand soak into his body. It just felt nice....he had to admit he got rather sore sometimes, no doubt old injuries messing him up. The shoulder that had gotten shot all those years ago with Anya never really had healed properly....it hurt whenever he had work to do. He sucked it up, of course, and he really shouldn't complain since he was in such a good place now....but the warmth did feel nice.

Mari kind of felt a small smile take over her face when he wrapped around her, but rested her head against his chest regardless and moved to give him a little grin. "Love you," che chirped tonhim before moving to settle down. It was barely three now, but the drinks had made her drowsy and really all she wanted to do was well... sleep. She sighed and moved to peck the base of his neck before just sort of settling in.
