Sage couldn't help but laugh at the girls squeak, but he released her enough so that she could scoot in and cuddle up again before wrapping himself around her and practically limpeting onto her, burying his face in her chest with a sort of content grunt. He settled down soon enough, just glad to have another lazy morning like this....it wouldn't last forever, so he was taking advantage while he could.

The girl gave a small smile when he curled in, and moved to place a hand lightly on the back of his head and into his hair, burying her nose into him with a deep inhale. He smelled so good. Warm and safe... she couldn't quite get enough of it. She just sort of grinned, happy to have him right next to her. "You smell so good," she hummed happily.

Sage was more than happy to cuddle up. Her hand felt nice in his hair too....of course, at her comment he couldn't help but peer up at her and chuckled softly. "That was a really random though, babe," he noted with amusement. "But thanks," he chuckled lightly. "You smell pretty good yourself," he added lightly, patting her back gently.

Mari looked down a little after a moment and gave a small hum, a bit of a grin crossing her face. "I know," she mused lightly. It was a bit random, she supposed. But he did smell good. He had a scent that she'd leaned meant safe. He was safe, and so much more than that, and she certainly felt that when she was with him. She then gave a little chuckle. "I know that, too," she hummed lightly.

He sort of chuckled in response to her comments, shaking his head slightly in amusement before tucking his nose back into her, wriggling to get into a slightly more comfortable position and then settling down again with a contented huff of air. "We're already almost halfway done with this," he hummed after a moment. Part of him wanted to stay like this forever....but he did miss their home, and the kids. And amber and the horses.

The girl shook her head after a moment, giving a small smile before running her fingers through his hair soothingly. "Yeah..." she murmured softly to him before moving to peck the top of his head. "Don't mistake it, I love those children but... it would be nice just to be here for a while longer," she mused lightly. "They'd like it here," she then added lightly.

Sage hummed lightly in response to her comments, nodding slightly from where his face was buried in her robe. "it is nice to take some time to relax," he mused. "Maybe we can take a family vacation soon," he added with a sort of light shrug. It would be fun, to bring the kids out here. "Maybe once Liz is a little older and can run around more," he thought out loud.

The woman gave a light smile before nodding in agreement. "That would be nice," she hummed in thought. "In a few years, when we have more control over them," she mused lightly. It was a good idea though. Neither of them had gotten to travel when they were younger, and she wanted her kids to have that chance. She looked down at him with a little grin and gave him a little squeeze after a moment.

Sage hummed lightly and nodded in agreement to her comment before peeking up at her with a grin when he felt her little squeeze. "They'd have so much fun," he hummed lightly. It would be something nice to dream about. To save up for. It was wonderful like this, but of course he did want the kids to have fun too. Not have their vacations be going to Grandma's for a few days. They did enjoy that though, he supposed. But even so, a family vacation would be nice.

The girl smiled softly in agreement after a moment before moving to peck the top of his head when he looked up at her. They really would love it... they could go somewhere that had a bit more for the kids to do. Some amusements and thing. There was quite a bit here, but they were pretty far away from it all... so that would be really lovely. She smiled lightly to him and gave a nod. "They would," she chirped happily.
