The girl have a small grin and sort of ran a hand back through his hair, pulling his fringe out of his face. "I know. I always wake up to you admiring my gorgeous face," she teased gently before moving to peck his shoulder. She did admire him, though... she loved everything about him so, so much.

Sage chuckled softly in response to her comments, tilting his head back slightly so she could play with his hair easier. It did feel nice, he could admit that. "You're pretty, what else do you expect me to do," he noted with a laugh, a soft smile flickering across his face when she kissed him. It was just his shoulder, but still....he didn't think he'd ever get used to the fact that he had a loving family. It still seemed almost like a fever dream, too good to be true. But it was, and he was certainly happy about it.

The woman gave a small chuckle, her fingers moving gently through his hair while in what she hoped to be a soothing way. "I would ask you if that's all that matters to you, but I just said you're so handsome too so I can't even argue my case," she teased him gently. After a little bit of messing around with his hair, she moved to put his hair in a bun and wrapped her arms around his side with a small huff of air. "You still feeling good?" She asked him with a small hum.

Sage had chuckled softly in response to her comment, throwing a fond look over his shoulder, honestly just relaxing into her fingers as they moved along his head. Though, when she moved to finally pull his hair up into a bun and wrap her arms around him, he tilted his head back to rest it on her shoulder happily, humming in thought for a moment, sort of moving to hold her hands/arms lightly. "As good as I can get," he mused after a moment, shrugging slightly. "The pain meds are still working so I'm alright," he added with a chuckle.

The woman gave a small smile when he rested on her, sort of resting her forehead on his shoulder when he put his head on her shoulder. She gave a small nod before sitting up, her arms still wrapped around his sides. She was glad he was okay... she'd been so, so worried for a moment there, but he was okay. She didn't know what she would have done if they lost him. She didn't know what would happen now and he was still here. She gave a small smile after a moment, though. "Good. The doctor says you can go home after tomorrow. No straining yourself, you'll just be in bed," she mused softly to him. "That means no getting into trouble, you hear?" The woman sort of slid down a little so that they were kind of laying down. "You stay where I can see you, cause I'm never letting anything like this get past me again," she threatened on a playful tone.

Sage hummed lightly in response to her comment about going home, nodding as he thought. "How long did he say I'd have to stay in bed for," he asked curiously. No doubt it would be a while, as he could barely get up across his little room or to the bathroom even with help...but it was good to know that anyway. He gave her a grin when she said he wasn't allowed to get into any trouble and nodded. "That's fine...you'l need to help me get to the bathroom anyway," he noted with a snort, not pleased with it but also...well, he didn't mind the attention she was giving him at all. "And I do need a shower," he admitted, though he wasn't sure how that would work. He'd need a bath, sicne he couldn't stand, for sure either way.

The girl hummed gently to him before moving to pat his stomach. "Just a week. Until you feel better. And, Sage, you will be staying in bed the whole time," she mused softly to him. "You really have to tell me if you seek sick. Next time we can't let it get to the point where you can't breathe and pass out on me," she murmured softly to him, a small chuckle before shaking her head. She smiled and gave him a little squeeze. "I'll run a bath for you... that way you can just sit there rather than having to have someone hold you up," she mused gently to him. "I'll help you over then in a minute," she hummed softly.

He nodded in response to her comment, thinking about what she'd said. "And how long until I can actually work," he asked after a moment. It was almost heasitatly, as he almost didn't want to know. It would probably be a while, and he wasn't sure how they'd manage to get by for a longer amount of time. Anthony couldn't be there all the time, and they didn't exactly have a lot of excess money to hire anyone. They certainly didn't have a spot in the house for them to live. Though, at her next comment, he sighed and nodded. "Can I at least get in the art room for a while," he groaned. "I have to work somehow," he pointed out. They didn't have the resources to not make any money until he was better. "I know," he sighed then, shaking his head. "I felt fine..it was just a cough, I figured it would go away," he murmured. When she said she'd draw up a bath, he nodded thankfully. He would never really enjoy baths...but when he was achy and sore and everything sort of hurt....they were, admittedly, sort of nice to just lay in for a while.

The woman furrowed her brows at him. She knew he just wanted to get working... no, he needed to get working. They needed the money. But, she could help out with the horses and things too... the kids would be fine running around for a few hours of the day. She looked over at him with small frown. "Yeah, of course you can," she murmured softly. "It'll be a while before you're doing much outside... the cold air can be a shock to the system. But you can be in the art room for a little while," she promised him softly. She gave him a short nod and went to peck his cheeks. "Babe, I know. Just... we can't be too careful anymore, yeah?" She asked gently before going to peck his lips. "I'll go sort a bath then come get you," she hummed softly.

Sage sort of just sighed when Mari didn't respond directly to the question...that just proved his worries that it was much too much time for him to be bed-ridden. He sort of nodded, almost dully, when she said he wouldn't be able to even get outside for a while...he had to admit he was rather dissapointed about that, as the outdoors was always where he felt the best. But at least he could get some art done, and Mari had been the one to talk to customers and such most of the time anyway, so there was at least that. He offered the girl a smile and a nod i response to her other comments, flopping down on his back to rest while she moved to get a bath ready.
