The woman gave and all sigh as she went to fill up the bath tub. Sage wasn't exactly the kind of person to sit around all day... but he had his art. She just hoped it wouldn't send him spiralling. She knew he didn't like baths on the best of days, so made sure to make it warm and smell good... along with some snacks and a warm towel on the radiator when he got out. She gave small sigh before moving to peck his cheek when she was done, though. "All sorted for you babe," she murmured softly as she helped him up.

Sage sort of just lay around while Mari set the bath up...it wasn't like he could do much else. He blew out a heavy breath and closed his eyes after a while, not falling asleep but honestly just bored out of his mind. He was tired too, yes, but mostly he was jusr tired of laying around like a bump on a log. That wouldn't change any time soon though. When he heard Mari wander back in, though, he opened his eyes and greeted her with a grin, holding his hands out so she could help him sit up and then eventually get to his feet. It took a while longer to get to the bathroom than he'd have liked...but they got there soon enough and he slid down to the floor to catch his breath before sort of fumbling with the buttons on his shirt.

The woman a little smile at his grin... well, at least he was perky. He hadn't been very perky for a long time now. She only just noticed it, but he wasn't as up-beat as he had been a few years back. She helped him to sit down before making sure he had a clean pair of clothes on the chair next to the bath. She sort of looked over at him, and let out a soft breath. She sort of batted his hand away and undone his buttons ad he got his breath back. She looked on the scar on his chest, giving a small uk. "That's healing up pretty well," well, it was healing up ad well as it could in the space of a week. She took his clothes off him, then helped him into the bath until he was sat there comfortably. "Just relax. Call me when you're done, yeah," she asked him with a small smile, offering him some fruit. "I'll go out these in the wash," she hummed gently as she moved to take his dirty clothes away to clean up.

Sage couldn't help but chuckle when Mari batted his hand away so she could do it herself. He could have probably managed to do it himself, but it was nice that she was helping him, and he obviously didn't mind it at all. "Well, between you and the doctor, if it wasn't I'd be a bit worried," he noted with a sort of laugh. He murmured a thanks to the girl once she'd gotten him settled, and nodded when she mentioned where she was going. He nibbled at some of the fruits that were there before setting the tray down and sliding down into the water, taking his hair out of the bun it had previously been in. He'd have to wash it eventually...which seemed like a lot of work, but for now it was just nice to sink into the warm water as far as he could go while still being able to breathe and relax for a while.

The woman gave a small chuckle to him, though turned to tidy up a bit and make her husband some dinner... nothing heavy, but enough to keep him happy. She just wanted to keep him happy. She just made a chicken salad with some dressing she knew Sage liked, and brought it to their room for him once he was out. She got herself changed and just flopped down in bed, kind of just waiting for Sage to call for her.

Sage lounged around for a while, just glad to be able to relax for a while. Normally, he wasn't the type to sit still, but occasionally it was nice. After maybe half an hour or so, though, he moved to sit up and wash himself off best he could. It wasn't great, but it was something at least. It was rather difficult to move his arms above his head still though, as it tugged at the stitches on his chest more than he'd like. It was better than before...he could at least put his hair up if it was quick now. But after a while of attempting to wash his hair he gave up and sighed before calling for Mari, giving her a sheepish grin when she wandered in, musing "I still can't get to my hair very well," and offering her the shampoo bottle. He'd grown more used to needing her help for things, however it still caused a light blush to form on his face. He just didn't like being so helpless all the time.

The woman kind of sat up after a moment, giving a small smile when he came in. She was ready to ask if he was done, though chuckled when she was offered the shampoo. "Yes, master Sage of course I'll wash your hair for you. Thank you for asking ever so kindly," she teased him gently, sort of pecking his forehead as she sat down next to the tub, washing his hair the best she could. "I've got dinner ready for you... we have clean sheets on the bed, everything is comfy for you," she chirped gently to him as she started rinsing his hair. "There you go," she hummed gently to him, grabbing a warmed towel for him.

Sage had sort of rolled his eyes with a laugh when Mari came back with the rather rediculoud way of saying she'd help him out. But, he sort of scooted over so she could get to him easily and tilted his head back as she rubbed the shampoo in and then rinsed off all the suds. He hummed lgihtly when she mentioned dinner, grinning over at her. "Whatd'cha make," he asked, admitteldy ratehr hungry by now. He thanked her once it was all done, climbing out of the tub and into the warm towel gratefully.

The woman gave him a little grin when he walked into the towel, wrapping it around him snuggly before grabbing another towel to rub his hair dry. She chucked him the loose shirt and a pair of soft trousers with a hum. "Just chicken salad. I didn't think you'd be up for much. If you're hungry later let me know," she hummed gently, helping him with his shirt before helping him back into bed. She did hope he'd be better soon... she knew he didn't like being helped like this. He didn't like relying on her, but in all truth he'd gotten better at it. He wasn't arguing anymore about it, but rather asking for help. It was a good thing. And she was happy he felt comfortable enough to rely on her.

Sage had chuckled lightly when she wrapped the towel around him the same way she did for Liz and Silas...it was a bit amusing to think that she was doing the same stuff for him as she was doing for the kids. He dried himself off though, and sat down to reach for the clothes. Mari had grabbed his hair to dry it off by then, which he let her do happily before moving to drag on his underwear and trousers, and let her help with the shirt. He nodded happily when she said she'd made chicken salad...it was rather good, and she'd been right when he still wasn't up for much. He'd only been eating a little bit here and there, mostly when he had to take his meds as they needed to be taken with food. But they also supressed hsi appetite a bit, and he was only laying around for the most part, so he just didn't need as much, he supposed. he hadn't relly realized how much effort a bath still took him until he was nestled back into the bed and was planning on brushing his hair out, but it just seemed like a lot of work so he simply flopped over onto the bed and closed his eyes. He was hungry, so he attempted to wait for Mari to bring the food up, but he'd fallen asleep before she ever came back. She'd get it to him eventually, though, he knew.
