The woman gave a small chuckle when he conked out, giving a small smile and pecking his lips happily. She sort of slid out of bed, going to help the doctor out with a few things... she had the yard hands help hook Chaos up to the rig before running upstairs to help Sage get up... he was already awake, which was good. She sort of wandered over to peck his lips gently. "You ready to go?" She asked him softly to him.

sage had grinned over at Mari when she came in, and nodded lightly when she asked if he was ready. "Sure," he chirped, moving to sit up and then allow her to help him stand and waddle down to the cart, where chaos greeted him happily. "Hey bud," he hummed softly, taking a moment to give the stallion some attention before getting on the cart since he couldn't stay standing for very long yet. They were pulling into Edith's soon enough though, and he let Mari help him over and into the house after he made sure chaos would be ok. He plopped down on the couch tiredly, but his eyes were clear as he glanced around the house, grinning when Amber hopped into his lap, hugging cat happily.

The woman gave a small chuckle before helping him into the carriage... soon enough, though, they made it into her mothers house, where the kids ran up to them excitedly. She looked over at her mother before giving a small chuckle, picking Liz up as she ran over to her. "Hope they were good," she mused softly, going to sit down next to Sage when she was invited over. "They were perfect, as usual," Edith mused softly to her daughter. She then looked over at Sage curiously. "I take it you're well now?" The woman asked curiously.

Sage had greeted everyone happily, crouching down to hug the kids when they ran over to them, as he couldn't exactly pick them up like he normally would. So, he just leaned over to hug them happily, laughing slightly. "As well as I can be after they cut my whole chest open," he grumbled. It wasn't the first time he'd dropped something like that after a doctor's visit without realizing he probably should explain a bit more. Oh well, Mari could always do that.

The Mari looked over at Sage before shaking her head as Liz settled down on her lap. She sort of furrowed her brows at him, giving a small chuckle. "He has some issues from a while back that came up. He had surgery to try and fix it... or, fix it the best we could," she mused softly to him. She then sort of looked back at her mum happily. "He's recovering now, but it's gonna be slow for a while," she then added. The older woman sort of looked over at him curiously. "Bless you. If any of you need anything, let me know and we'll see what we can do," she hummed gently to the couple.

Sage wrinkled his nose slightly in response to Maris comment. It had been a little bit more than that, but the kids were there now so they couldn't go into too much detail about anything....including their financial worries. Though, he nodded when she mentioned his recovery and sighed slightly. "I need need help getting out of bed and walking ten feet to the bathroom," he grumbled, still rather annoyed with his own incompetence. There wasn't much he could do about it though, and he did trust Mari. "We can chat about that later," he noted, sliding a quick glance at the kids, when Edith mentioned help. They didn't need to know they were worried about their money or anything.

The woman looked a little confused for a moment when her son in law gestured to the kids, though nodded gently. "I see. Well, whenever you have a spare moment don't be afraid to contact us," she chirped. Mari gave them a small smile after a moment... they were worried about their finances, but they'd be fine for now. "We'd better get home... Sage needed his rest, and being here wasn't going to allow him to do that. They stayed for a little while before finally heading off home with the kids. They were pretty happy... they helped her unhitch Chaos, since Silas probably knew how to do it better than her, but soon enough she helped Saged up to bed before she started making dinner.

Sage had nodded in response to the woman's comment, reaching over to pay her hand gently. "We'll be alright for now, though help with the horses would be appreciated," he reassured her. And they would be alright for a bit....but he'd rather not spend all their money then get nervous, it was better to have a plan in place at the beginning, before it got bad. He was glad to get home though...and while he did stop to fret about settling chaos down for a moment, he really didn't waste any time in flopping down on the bed and passing out once they got back to their bedroom. It was so nice to be back in his own bed.

The woman gave a soft sigh after a moment, thankful to be back home... it was getting late, but made the kids and Sage something to eat for dinner. It took a little while, but the kids were soon enough fed, and Anthony had come over to help with the horses, so she made him something before he left. She soon got showered, then brought Sage his dinner too. She just wanted him to rest for a little while. She sort of plopped down on the side of the bed after a moment, gently prodding his side. "Sage hun, I brought you dinner," she murmured softly.

Sage had lay there, dead asleep for a while, until Mari prodded him and he opened his eyes after a moment, squinting up at her tiredly before nodding and stretching with a yawn. He sort of rolled over, sitting up against the headboard and moving to take her plate when she offered it to him. There was still water on the table on the side, so he already had that if he needed it. "Thanks," he murmured softly, leaning against her side tiredly.
