Rum stood in the mist of the early morning with half closed lids and one hind leg resting. His tail swung lazily across his sides as bugs tried to land on him. His hot breath could be seen as he exhaled in the chilly morning, although he knew it would get hotter through the midday. The sun made his golden hide an even richer color while deepening his dark points. His ears swung back and forth slowly as he listened to the morning songs of various birds that flew over head, or the rustling of the rabbits that made their way by him. He was no fright to them as he watched them pass by through the damp grass. He was feeling rather lazy that morning, just wanting to stand there and enjoy the feeling of the sun kissing his coat.

Caramel stood silent listening ,watching ,waiting she rested her left leg and sung her tail at at fly that landed on her.She let her eyes half close the morning around her still and quiet.She sniffed the air and listened to the stream flowing over the the little cliff she was standing under.Caramel shook her damp brown coat that had water droplets on it that made it shine even more and brighter.She walked to the stream and leaned her long next down takeing a long drink of the cool water below.She lifted her head and looked around her ears flipping direction, before she walked down the river a little ways to the grass medow below leting her mind take the lead she let loss and went into a canter.After reaching the medow she let out a little winny of joy before she started munching on the dewed grass.

Rum turned his head with interest as he heard a mare whinny nearby. His ears flickered back and forth while his nostrils quivered, trying to take in her scent. He stood there for a moment before letting out his own deeper whinny, his sides shaking with the action. His tail continued to flick against in sides with lazy motions as the bugs started to bother him more. Rum lowered his muzzle to nip at the grass as he awaited a reply from the stranger

Caramel lifted her head and looked around when she heard a stallion's whinny fallow hers.She looked around and began to pace the medow around her, she took a deep breath and let out a returning whinny to him.She watched the area around her not wanting to be startled with anything sudden.She paced in a circle before lowering her head waiting to see what to do next...

Rums ears pricked as he heard her again. He let out a big yawn with a quick stretch before trotting slowly over a small crest of a hill. He stopped quickly when he saw a painted mare. His nostrils started quivering again as her scent wafted towards him. He let out a low humming tune as his golden neck started to arch, a small smile tugging at the edges of his lips. His expression was soft but full of curiosity as he watched her

Caramel looked up from her place at the bottom of the hill her ears pointing in his direction.She stepped back a few feet and shook her head as a fly lander on it.She hesitated as she watched the golden stallion above, she nervously stood in the place she now was confortable at.Caramel sniffed the air takeing into consideration who the stranger was, she walked in a circle again to calm herself down.Her nostrils and sides heaving with every hard breath she took.She let out a low whinny of both fear and courage to face what ever would come.
