oh absolute shit. The people doing our pack-out and home repairs are commiting insurance fraud, charging them $9k for a generator they claim ran 12hrs a day for 30 days when it was only running for 3. They also got a permit to park a bigass dumpster on the street that we never received and are charging the insurance company for it.

Lieutenant General Safiya Moore

She nods quickly, “Of course. I am fully prepared.”

She does a quick happy dance when the General turns her back but stops and corrects herself before she turns around. No sense in getting caught acting a fool on the first day.

Ceremony Day. Safiya had heard of it, and she was glad to have transferred in. The day for the smaller changelings to join the ranks in one big, massive competition. Those that survived and made it to the school’s grounds would become the next batch of elite dragon soldiers. If they survived. Though she had read not as many cadets had joined and changed, so she assumed the games would be different this year.

Her mind races through ideas and various other thoughts, her excitement about her new job brewing in her mind. Her brother would get a long letter later on today, filled with as many details as she could. But for now, she just hurries to catch up the general, one step behind.

“Absolutely. How can I help?”

(Yuppp, and one of our ponies is about 350lbs, he can pick her up lol. And surprisingly, little Dotty doesn't mind at all xD)
Lieutenant Dwyer
Glory wasn't sure how to feel, considering being kissed mid-battle by her opponent wasn't exactly something that happened often. Or, more accurately, ever. It was an... interesting tactic, to say the least, though not one she was mad at him for. Oh come on, stop being such an amadan. Stop stuffing everything down and ignoring it- you like him and that's that, She mentally scolded herself. That was a good enough way to put it. She thought for a moment at his answer and was rather pleased with it. 'Because I wanted to.' Probably the best answer he could've given her. She wasn't really sure what to say, and instead just nodded slowly, the only indication she'd given so far that she wasn't about to kill him. She let a small, almost shy smile creep onto her face as he tried to apologize. "Don't apologize, leannan," She said, closing the space between them and standing on her toes and kissed him lightly, partly for the reason he'd given her, and partly to show she wasn't the slightest bit mad at him. Pulling back, she meandered over to where she'd left Jaws on one of the tables. She picked him up and settled him on her shoulder, smiling as he made happy little sounds. "Okay then, we've got some pillows to return, and I'm sure there's something somewhere that needs to get done," She said, looking down at the pillow in her hand. Honestly, it was surprising that neither of them ripped, but she was glad for that. No feathers to clean up, for one, which'd probably be as bad as Frogmageddon, and no shredded pillows to answer about if/when questioned. Unfortunately, their childish pillow fight was over, which meant it was time to be an adult again. Damn. And there were almost certainly things to do with Ceremony Day coming up, which meant less time for more pillow fights.
(You're so mean to him xD)

General Anubis
AKA: Craptain Jack Spare-Ribs

Leo's mind just kept running faster and faster until it landed on the one other time. That one memory. It had ruined his life just as much as all the other horrible things. Unsurprisingly, Leo felt emotion too, and when he was 14 he had a crush. One whom he ended up talking to, because back then, he wasn't a scared rabbit waiting to be shot. They became friends, or so he thought, and one night, he decided to kiss her, which quite honestly was one of the worst mistakes of his life. Two hours after he left the place they had met up, he felt the urge to tell her exactly how much he liked her, as if the kiss didn't explain it. He went over to where he knew she would be, and happened to approach just as she was telling her friends how stupid he was. How much a fool he was. How idiotic he must be to think someone like her would really ever care about someone like him. They ended up spotting him, as he was frozen in shock, and spent the next couple minutes jeering at him and revealing their whole plan to ridicule him. How it was all just a short little hoax for their own entertainment. How he was a pawn in their game. He was too young and naive to see it coming, even though he should have. Now, years later, had he made the same mistake? How had he let himself care about someone.. again? It had worked so well the first time, why try and make it happen again? Maybe he hadn't learned anything. As the memory burned in his mind, the emotions attached to it swirling in his chest, he was slowly just wanting his brain to shut down. How could this be any different. Glory was certainly capable of thinking up an intricate plan like that. She loved torture. He hated to believe it, though. So much that he just didn't. He refused to believe she would ever USE someone like that, whoever it was. Leo slowly looked at her as she nodded, still not really breathing very deeply, as he was focused on the hole he had just ripped in his life, or the too good to be true moment he had found. Whichever one it was, he was caught up in thinking about it. At this point, he almost just wanted her to murder him, as his brain would shut up and wait for a response BEFORE it started freaking out. A bit of terror lurked in his stomach, and he could physically feel his stomach rolling, which was rather unpleasant, but the thing that happened next was rather unexpected. She SMILED, and it wasn't an evil I Might Kill You Now smile. It wasn't a Oh You're More Insane Than I Thought smile. It wasn't a Well, We Are Never Being Friends Again smile. It was genuine. Maybe a little happy. He couldn't quite tell, as his vision was almost blurred. He recognized the Gaelic word she used, as he had heard her use it before, and had looked it up afterward just to know what it meant. It didn't help his brain function. He pretty much just stared in part shock part still wondering what the hell he had done as she walked over, back onto the rug, and kissed him. So... he.. took that as a sign he wasn't getting brutally tortured and disembowled. today. His eyes followed her as she walked away, on instinct response, and landed on Jaws, where he focused his vision to sort out his remaining brain cells. None dead, since he was the one who decided to risk his life. The little deer pranced around on Glory's shoulder, making little noises, sounding extremely pleased. Jaws then nuzzled her neck and snuggled in, dozing off. Leo confirmed the animal had a mind of its own, as there was no way HE was controlling it. "Pillows. Return. Right. Always something somewhere." He closed his eyes for a second, then moved for the first time since his mind malfunctioned, unwrapping the pillow that was still stuck to his hand. "There's someone here. Someone new. I heard her talking and didn't recognize her voice. Talking to Simara. In the Great Hall. We should see who it is." He finally commented, his words rather jagged, as he was focused on getting them out. As he took a step, he didn't topple over, although he had been worried, as he wasn't sure if his brain had reconnected with his body. He grabbed whatever had been accidentally knocked over, then walked back to the room they had taken the pillows from, dropping his own there.

'General Simara'
Adder simara
-x-
Adder stalked forward, a smile lifting the corner of her lips, she was pleased to have at least one decent soldier along side her. "First things first, I want to show you to your dorm and office, then we will call a assembly, I have the Ceremony day deadline for 2 days from now, hopefully we can get everyone prepared by then" she said, turning and looking proudly at her new lieutenant, the old one was quite useless and she was grateful he died, allowing room for the better.
Adder lifted her arm and moved it in a tight circle, her fingers slicing through the pocket of space. The buzzing portal spat golden sparks, awaiting to be used. "Through here is the Sector 2 common room, through the common room, you can enter into student dorms, the Sector leader chambers, My chambers and your own chambers" Adder explained, gesturing to the portal.
"Well, follow me through" Adder said, swinging a leg into the portal, then her whole left side before disappearing into the golden sparks.

Glory, in all honestly, could easily be called 'emotionally manipulative', or something similar. However, she used strictly fear tactics, and only on Corrupted, excluding the two idiots she practically fried the brains of. Those were the only exception, and they'd deserved it. Leo, on the other hand, very much did not deserve diddlysquat of that sort, and Glory was certain she wasn't capable of hurting him in any way shape or form.
She scratched under Jaws' chin as he wriggled around, smiling as he curled up and fell asleep. "Mhm," She hummed, fluffing out the pillow as all the stuffings had gotten flattened into one end of it. She tilted her head has he spoke, he sounded like a good handful of brain cells had been put out of commission for a while, but that was no big deal. "Hmm, interesting," Glory said, trying to think of why anyone new would be here this late in the year, then it dawned on her. "Oh! Do you think Simara got a new lieutenant? Her old one died, didn't he?" She asked. If she remembered right, Simara wasn't exactly a big fan of him, and frankly, Glory wasn't either. Something of a box of rocks, he'd been. If she was right, then hopefully this new one would be better. She made her way to the room they'd robbed, not bothered to fully enter, instead simply drop-kicking the pillow onto the bed. Good enough. "Okay, where'd you say you heard them?" Glory asked. She was pretty sure he'd said the great hall, but even so, they might not still be there.

(He has a complicated background!
You're lucky to have a chill pony. My trainer had this part quarter horse, part sheltand, part something else sassy pony mare who was super short and chunky. She always nipped, usually pinned her ears, and would never canter to save her life. She was actually the first horse (er, pony) I remember riding lol. She just died a couple months ago, at 30 years old, I believe))

Leo smiled faintly as the little deer flopped down. So adorable. It almost took his mind off of what just happened, but not quite. At her theory, he nodded slowly. "That could be it. Hopefully Simara hasn't murdered this new person with glares yet." He snorted. Thankfully, there was no where to go but up from the last guy. If people thought Leo was dumb, the last Lieutenent must've looked like a literal rock. The kind of person you would think about asking what color the sky was, then change your mind, knowing they'll answer 'what's a sky?' Or something stupid like that. He then realized that the guy had died, wondered if he should feel bad, and mentally decided 'nah', then continued being thankful this new lieutenant could only be better. Leo waited for her to finish putting the pillow away, then gestured to the hall. "I think they're still in there. I cannot guarantee that I will make it there in time for them still to be there." He commented with a wry smile. It was funny how he could be so quick and Lightfooted in a mere pillowfight, but if he was just walking, it was like he only had one leg. The duel had inflamed the pain in his leg slightly, so he was still limping a little, but it was much better. He headed towards the other building, entering and glancing around. He got there just in time to see Simara and someone new disappear into a portal. "Damn it. Now I have to walk further." He groaned. He guessed they were going to the dorms, if the person was new, but he could be wrong. He just hoped he wasn't. Leo turned, changed directions, and headed towards the long halls of dorms. He then proceeded in listening carefully, hearing footsteps, and heading towards them. Finally, he found them. "General Simara." He greeted the woman with a nod, then glanced at the other one. Strong, determined looking. Slightly beautiful in a complimentary way, not a weird way. The leather suited her. She looked like she'd do some damage in battle. Be a good asset to their side. Giving a curt nod, he introduced himself, allowing Glory to speak her own name. "General Anubis, and you are?" Leo inquired, his demeanor much different than it had Been even a mere moment ago. He always acted differently around Glory- more like himself, to be honest. He was always much more reserved around anyone else.

Lieutenant Dwyer
"If they're half as dumb as the last guy, then Simara totally has," Glory retorted. From what she remembered, the previous lieutenant was a total twit, and it was surprising he'd climbed that high in the ranks. Even a blind chicken gets a kernel every now and then, Glory supposed. She realized in an 'Oh shit, whoops' sort of way that he had in fact finally died, then - even bigger whoops - that she'd hardly noticed his presence, or rather, lack thereof. She knew, logically, that she should feel bad, but just... didn't. That blind chicken starved, apparently. That thought shouldn't be all that amusing, yet it was. "Oh come on, you knocked my feet out from under me two minutes ago and now you can hardly walk?" She teased. Probably one of them mind-over-matter whatchamacallits. She noted how he was still limping, but not badly. Not enough for her worrying to start up again at least. She chuckled at his words and said, "Why don't you conjure a cane or something? Then at least you can look half the part of someone respectable." She meant this as 'a member of high society' not 'you're laughable', considering neither was a way to describe Leo. She followed him into the dormitory hallway, silently greeting Simara with a respectful nod, then looked over the newcomer. A little younger than Glory, she guessed, and close to the same height. Light eyes that stand out against her dark hair, and the look of someone useful in their ranks. A huge improvement from the last Sector 2 Lieutenant, that's for sure. She certainly didn't look like a box of rocks. "Lieutenant General Dwyer," Glory introduced herself tersely. She glanced briefly at Leo, finding it strange how different he was around others. Although it wasn't like anyone else would challenge him to a pillow fight, nor would he present the side of him that gladly accepted the offer to newcomers. First impressions and whatnot.

Lieutenant General Safiya Moore

Safiya could tell she had said something right as she followed the general. She took everything in as much as she could, like a sponge it water her father used to say. She memorized the locations the general pointed out and asked a few questions here and there to help familiarize herself. Though she felt she annoyed the older woman, her questions were answered.

She stops in surprise at the portal but hurriedly follows the woman through. A sense of tingling spread over her body as the golden sparks bounced off of her skin, tickling and teasing for just a moment before she steps to the other side. The hall before her is large, with a tall domed cieling. It holds a classical, elegant feel much like the entry to the main building earlier but it was darker. Instead of light marble it was dark stone, draped with velvet curtains and fabrics that seemed to cascade from the tall window like waterfalls. Though she had to admit she preferred the lighter color, this one felt very fitting to the General that ran it.

She stops admiring the stone around her, focusing back on the general. Before she can speak, voices catch her attention and she turns to face then quickly, stepping in front of General Simara. Once she could recognizes the faces, mostly from her files, she steps back and leaves the General to talk with them. Though she had to admit, she watches them curiously.

She was surprised when they spoke to her, introducing themselves as friendly enough and she offers a salute and nod to the pair, “Lieutenant General, General, it's a pleasure to meet you.”

Her face blooms with a large smile, and she extends her hand in a friendly shake, “I'm Lieutenant General Safiya Moore, though most just call me Sorrow. I hope to be a valuable asset and of great help to whatever you may need. My brother and father have trained me well, if you are familiar with them, and they send their greetings."

Leo let out a small snort, REALLY hoping they weren't. It would make it impossible to work with them, so he'd end up forgetting they even existed, then not knowing when they died. Then again, it was likely he died far before any new person that came in, however dull they were. "I try harder when I've something to try for!" He protested, grinning. "Walking is bothersome and boring- exactly the opposite of pillow fights. Hence me putting energy into the pillow fight but not even trying when walking." He chuckled, then let a bewildered expression come over his face. "A CANE? What, now should I find a pair of spectacles, put on an old ratty brown tweed suit, and start calling myself Professor Anubis?" He scoffed. That would NEVER happen, although a cane might be useful. Hey, what if... "Wait a minute." He mumbled with a slightly scary smile on his face. With a snap of his fingers, a long, crooked bone appeared, in the overall shape of a cane. "I still had my humor a while ago. Carved this myself, took forever. When I broke my leg last, I was sick of limping around like I was going to die. Wonder why I didn't remember it." He let the bony cane disappear, knowing if he showed up like that he'd probably get an eye roll and a glare from Simara and the other person would start thinking he was permanently injured.
After arriving, he took the fact that the person wasn't injured to be a sign Simara must like her. Which was an EXTREMELY good sign, considering Simara didn't like HIM. As the woman saluted, he was immediately remembering the days when people actually paid proper respect to Generals- Simara never lost that respect, but Leo certainly didn't want to be seen as a terrifying hunk of unhappiness, so he wasn't going to act like her. Most of the messengers and whatnot still saluted, and some of the Sector Leaders, but apart from that, a salute was scarce. A joking thought immediately flew into his mind... if this Lieutenant General salted, that meant Glory technically should. [Hehe, now that's a battle for another day] He thought, trying to bite back a smile, focusing on the task ahead. As he shook her hand, he spoke. "Pleasure to meet you as well, Lieutenant General Moore. I do know your brother, and I can say he is a wonderful asset to our team, so I'm sure you will be too. Your help, in anything we do, will be greatly appreciated." He commented, meanwhile thinking how little people they had that actually knew how to fight and win. Apparently he wasn't good enough at fighting and not getting hurt, because he was still limping, his ribs were still crushed, he was still stabbed, it was still hard to breathe, and there were still a million tiny wounds and scars everywhere. He was swift for his size, but apparently never, ever fast enough.

(totally xD I can tie balloons to her tail and she doesn't mind lol)
Lieutenant Dwyer
"So, what you're saying is... we need to have more pillow fights!" Glory said cheerfully. She was a little disappointed in herself for losing, though given the circumstances, she'd happily take the loss. "My thoughts exactly," She said, "Do that. Professor Anubis has a nice ring to it." Teaching was rather boring, so she figured if he somehow did wind up as Professor Anubis, his students wouldn't learn diddlysquat if he thought of teaching like walking. She looked at his bone cane for a moment before saying, "Lack of a cool story aside, that's kind of badass. Ooh, y'know, you could totally say you got into a fistfight with a bear and took home its femur." Now THAT was a way better story than 'I broke my leg and got bored, it's not a real bone'. Closest thing Glory had to that was a wolf bite on her shoulder and the creature's pelt made into a fur cloak hanging in her room. That was a fairly cool story, and she was pleased to have evidence of its authenticity.
Glory shook the new Lieutenant General's hand, noting her firm, confident grip. She smiled back at the girl and said, "Well met, Sorrow. Call me Glory." She gestured to the tiny, fluffy deer still perched on her shoulder, letting go of her hand, saying, "And this is Jaws." As if on cue, the little creature woke up, blinked a few times, and yawned wide, revealing his oversized teeth. "Glad to have you with us." Yes, she could tell already that Sorrow was a HUGE improvement from her predecessor, and Glory thought this might be someone worth being friends with. At the very least she'd be a great asset to have at the academy, which was wonderful given the recent Corrupted activity. Hopefully she was as skilled as she seemed, though Glory didn't doubt it.
