Scarred Thorn Alpha Male Scar couldn't help but immediately start to worry about literally everything as he walked... well, more like staggered, into the camp. Wolves were not roaming around, as usual, which was just a little weird. As he passed the grave he had worked so hard to dig, yet it was still empty, he closed his eyes and took in a shallow breath. Poor Lupin. Remus' body had been moved to under a pine near the entrance until burial.... but Scar just hoped Lupin was ready soon. Otherwise not-so-good things would start happening. Personally, Scar disliked males more than females at times... mostly because he found females seemed to be smarter, more level-headed, and more willing to coorperate than males. For this reason he wasn't very close to any of the males, including Remus, but then again... he wasn't very close to anyone. The longest conversaion he had with a wolf from his pack happened just a couple minutes ago, with Vindaria. +She has to have a shorter nickname. My brain is getting tired saying Vindaria every time I think about her+ He thought with a slight snort, angling towards the Med Den. Of course, they didn't have a wolf that specified in herbs, but he had picked up a couple tips whilst he was still a loner. As a loner you had to take care of yourself first- that was the number one rule. Which of course Scar didn't appreciate, but still. Entering the den, he grabbed some moss in his teeth and soaked it in a puddle, knowing the bleeding had to stop SOMEDAY, bending around to press it to his wound with a grimace. "I wonder where everybody is." He mumbled through the green moss, closing his eyes in pain. |

Vinda paused as she entered the usually more social area, glancing around at the quiet camp. Where could all her packmates have vanished off to? Oh she hoped they hadn't all decided to race after Scar... she hadn't seen any of them, but she knew a few that were just foolish enough to do that. Continuing forwards, she glanced over at a wolf sized hole, confused for a moment, then remembering. Her ears flattened and she sighed. Soon it seemed they would have a burial. Shaking the morose feeling away, determined to stay the cheerful one in the group, she padded away from the spot, her eyes swiftly following her Alpha as he staggered towards the Healer Den... despite their lack of a healer. She paused again, unsure. If she followed him... she could risk his long fuse coming to an imploding end. But there was no way he would be able to take care of such a wound on his own. Wincing at her own decision, she padded after him, slowly poking her head into the den. "You'll need some help with that" she said in a sensible slightly bland tone as she blinked at him, stepping a paw into the den. |

Where'd that idea come from XD) +++ Scarred Thorn Alpha Male Scar finally stopped as he started tasting blood in his mouth; the moss had soaked all the way through with red hot blood very quickly. He dropped it with a wrinkle of his nose and locked the blood away from the wound before turning back to study the scarce materials. At this point it'd be best to apply some Chervil and be done with it. The herb would slow the bleeding and prevent infection, however it would not lower the pain levels- only poppyseed would do that, but Scar refused to eat poppyseed. He always had, because not only did it lower pain levels but it also made you very sleepy .. which meant you were less alert and could be attacked and killed easily. As Vindaria looked in Scar groaned a little, sitting down with a wince. "Have you just taken up the job to be my shadow? I already have one you know, it just usually doesn't follow me underground." His teasing tone held no irritation, yet he was wondering why she wanted to help all of a sudden. It wasn't like they talked TOO much before she had left for the scouting trip... was it only the fact that he was shot? At that thought he seemed to grow a little more guarded. "I don't need help, but thanks. There's only one more thing I'm going to do." Scar stated with a change of tone, turning away to try and find Chervil. |

Vinda cracked a slight smile at his expression and words "I didn't know that job was open" she said with a teasing look, then frowned as he seemed to attempt to dismiss her. "Of course, I'm sure you know herbs better than I... but I do believe a plantain leaf or two crushed and secured to your wound with cobweb could be helpful" she offered as she sat down at the mouth of the den, seeing from his posture that entering would probably be an annoyance. |

Scarred Thorn Alpha Male The male flicked an ear slightly as Vindaria spoke, but the stuff about the herbs he knew was true. "You're probably right." Scar answered, though now all he could think about was why she was suddenly being helpful NOW. Was it only because.. she felt pity that he was shot? Or because he lured the humans away? He didn't want her help if that was all. For once in his life, Scar thought he was actually having a real conversation, but it was more likely she was just complaining about how he always put himself down and that she just felt bad so she was humoring his stupid jokes. +Well I'm the fool then+ He thought sourly, snapping his jaws down a little harder than neccesary on the Chervil and chewing it into a pulp before licking it onto the wound. He did the same with the leftover plantain leaves and managed to get some spiderweb over the whole thing before limping out. |

Vinda blinked slightly as Scar accepted her words, and she silently watched as he applied the herbs. She would have offered to help, but something about the Alpha's body language was offputting. A frown lingered on her brow. Scar's mood swings were rather sudden and drastic since she'd begun talking with him on their walk..... or perhaps he was always like that? It was true she hadn't spoken or spent much time with her Alpha until then, but that had simply been because their status's had been quite different, and she had seen how so many of hte pack always wished to speak with him, and so she'd resigned herself to watch from a distance. But today... today she felt as though their short talk made her understand her Alpha more than all the past weeks. She got to her paws as he limped towards her, swiftly moving to the side so he could pass by. "I assume you will be going to rest now?" she questioned slightly, padding after him, a bit behind his shoulder. "I should probably catch up with the rest of the pack, go see Lupin" she added a bit uncertainly. Where even was the rest of the pack? It was so... unearthly quiet. |

(I PM'd everyone...) +++ Scarred Thorn Alpha Male Scar took in a slow breath and proceeded to ignore the stinging, aching feeling in his thigh as he tried to walk instead of limp. He never meant to be... well... er... moody. He knew from Vindaria's look that she was contemplating his rather drastic swing in demeanor. He just didn't want to be super open and kind with someone who was only being nice because of pity. However, Scar didn't know this was entirely true, it was just speculation. Still, it bugged him, because even if he was rather stoick on the outside at times- he could be sensitive, and he had been hurt before. He wasn't going to let it happen again. Thinking back to those days made the pain in his hip seem like a minor injury. The emotional scar from those days went much, much deeper. Scar had been a loner for almost a year now, and honestly, he was sick of it. He was an outgoing, rather stupid, brash young male that wanted to see the world and make decisions, but he was also rather extroverted and he needed a friend. Around a month ago he had met this absolutely perfect she-wolf named Lilah, and she was... quite literally like a dream. She was kind and compassionate, trustworthy, and she was his best friend... until now, Scar had started growing stronger feelings. He had made the decision to tell her. Walking up to Lilah as she was drinking, Scar eagerly cleared his throat. "Hey, I need to tell you something. You are just amazing, and I was wondering if you would like to be my mat-" He got cut off as she stood and shook her pelt. "I'm SOO sorry but I have to deal with something. Be right back!" She had said in a rather suspicious sounding voice, then bounded off. Scar, of course, followed her from a distance. At an abandoned barn he found her chatting with two females and a male, then she cuddled up next to the male and licked his cheek. Scar almost gasped, but he stayed quiet, and the words that came next shocked him. "Oh that stupid Scar. I can't believe he fell for me! He literally just asked me to become his mate. How much of an idiot can you be? I would never leave you anyway, Boulder. In any case, it is SO FUNNY to do this. I can't imagine his face when I tell him. Think he'll start crying?" Lilah then laughed, a truly wicked sound, and the rest of the wolves howled with laughter with her. Instead of confronting them all... Scar, heartbroken, ran and never looked back. That's when his whole life changed. He became reclusive, grumpy, rude, and introverted. He hated wolves. He refused to be near anyone. For a year afterward he attacked anyone that got too close. He fought bears and mountain lions for meals, and in that area, was regarded as the most fearsome wolf ever to reside there... purely because of one, single event, where he got rejected by the wolf he thought he loved. Years later he met his mother again, and she was dying. She asked him if he would do one thing... to stop terrorizing others and make a pack. Help others to avoid the same fate he had. She then died a day later, and in honor of her, Scar did as he was asked and created the pack he was in now. The memories flashed through his mind so fast, but it felt like a decade. It felt like every part of his body was frozen in a bloody nightmare that he just couldn't shake. As Vindaria spoke Scar snapped out of his *trance*, looking at her with pain and grief deep in his dark eyes. "... yes. Last I checked Lupin was by the stream." he answered, immediately moving away and disappearing into his den, going to the far back where the shadows lay thickly and curling up. He SHOULDN'T let the past haunt him, but it did anyway. No, Scar couldn't let anyone get close to him. It would only hurt both of them. |

{Lupin's Pov} - After her hunt she returned back to the pack and went straight into her den with a chunk of meat in her teeth she had brought home, She sniffed gently and shot her head up when she noticed Scar who seemed to be limping quite badly which made her worried on what he was doing, She gently walked out and towards him looking him in the eyes "Are you alright" she asked and tilted her head slightly, She was gonna tell him she was ready for the burial of Remus but now was not the time to say that to Scar since he was injured. - {Draco's Pov} - He returned back with Lupin and gently nudged her before walking over to his little spot in the pack that he had for himself well almsot to himself, He layed down on his rock and snarled when one of Luna's pups came over "This is my bone pup" he told her before going back to knawing at it. - {Luna's Pov} - She watched as Draco and Lupin returned and she wagged her tail happily she was glad her sister and Draco weren't injured like Scar, She looked to Lupin and sat up to greet her but she sighed as her sister just went right into her den with her pups she had to feed. |

Scarred Thorn Alpha Male Scar lifted his head and sat up as Lupin poked her head in the den and asked if he was alright. This was a relief to him, mostly because that meant they were still there.. and the camp wasn't completely empty after all. "Humans came into the forest. Vindaria returned but she tracked the humans closer to here- I led them away but got a little too close. Got shot in the hip. Bullet passed through, already treated- I'll be fine." He answered, explaining what happened and filling Lupin in. +++ (By the way, Rivershine if you did not know we have a new character named Vindaria, you probably read the posts, she was *away* on a scouting trip for a week and just returned) |

{Lupin's Pov} - She looked him dead in the eyes and huffed "You were shot" she said tilting her head and looking at his area of which he was shot in, She sighed and looked back at Scar "Ya gotta be more careful ya know, Their tracking us for zoos or our pelts" she said with sympathy. - {Draco's Pov} - He watched as Lupin talked to Scar trying to firgure out everything that was going on in their world of which they had to live in, He snorted and layed back down cotinueing to knaw at his bone. - {Luna's Pov} - She layed in her den gently and carefully cleaning her pups since they were rather dirty and in need of a deep motherly clean to them, She yawned and rested her head on her paws after she tended to her pups. |
