Backstory: When T'sani was 11, a horse trampled on him in a field. This led to a three week coma and the amputation of both legs, one at the knee. This scarred him badly, physically and mentally. Having previously been the life and soul of the house, unlike his older sister Kholo, he was a broken boy. His compassion for horses 'disappeared' and was replaced by a brooding phobia.

Due to his legs, he had to be in a wheelchair. When he was 21, he went over to a friend's house. Havign arrived before the others, he found himself staring longingly at their barn, his fingers aching to open the doors. This woke him up and realized that horses weren't soemthing that he could just shut out of his life because of one freak accident. He began horse therapy and gradually learnt to ride again, having gained the use of his legs through prosthetic legs.

Appearance: Kat is a tall, strong woman with high cheekbones. Her black braids hang until her waist, although she often wears them in a pony tail or bun. Her dark brown skin is smooth, although scars and bruises mark the skin. She has black, piercing eyes which sparkle with either hatred or joy, depending what she thinks of you.

Personality: Kat is cold, slightly haughty person at first, but does soften eventually. Eventually. She holds a large hatred for pale-skinned people, due to the fact that her family was impacted greatly by apartheid. She may come across as stuck-up, but she does this to protect herself. Backstory: Kat was born in South Africa, but moved to Namibia with her family when she was 4 due to a job her father had found. It was on a stud farm in the plains of Namibia, causing her to ride as soon as she was allowed. She has three older siblings and one younger.

When she was 13, a robbery took place at the farm. Her father was immediately surrounded by accusations and hatred, simply because 'he was black'. He was fired within three days and was forced to pack his bags and leave, with his five children and wife in tow.

Three months later, police investigations were made and it was discovered that the owner's best friend was actually the culprit. He sent apologies and offered to give Kagiso his job back, but was refused immediately. This began the brooding htred in Kat's heart.

He has long, extended strides which helps with cross-country, although the opposite with show-jumping. He has an untrimmed mane and a neatly trimmed tail. Ash looks similar to the typical Thoroughbred, as his sire was a Throughbred.

Personality: Ash has a bouncy, kind nature. He adores children and cats. He is very sensitive to aids and will do practically anything for Kat. His bold, messy style that makes him so good at XC fails in the showjumpign arena. Although he's 10, he often acts like a colt and can be quite adorably foolish at times. He forms close bonds with people he likes, although also having a space in his heart for anyone he might ever meet.
