Selena is an average height for her age, standing close to 5’1. She has a slender build and paler skin that tans mildly in the summer. Her hair is a dark chocolate brown and is a bit wavy. She normally keeps it in a messy bun, but she will sometimes leave it down. Selena has a few freckles here and there, mostly on her cheekbones and the bridge of her nose. Her right eye is a lovely pale green color, but her left eye is milky white due to blindness. She also has severe burn scarring running down the left side of her forehead to the bottom of her jaw.

Lena is very independent, and prefers to do everything herself. She hates having to ask people for help, and she has a hard time accepting help, even when she knows she needs it. Her strong-willed personality has gotten her into many a tight spot before, but it can also help her stand fast in the face of danger. For example, Lena’s strong will has caused her to give to others without a second thought. Despite her fiery personality, Lena is truly compassionate and loves to help other people. Because of this, she longs to become a master healer. Lena is also quite sensitive about certain topics, such as her parents and her permant scar. In tough situations, Lena doesn’t back down. Even when it seems foolish, even when it seems like there’s no hope left, she just keeps going. This determination is how she has managed to survive all this time.

History:
When Selena was very little, she had two loving parents who cared for her and protected her from the dangers of the world. Sadly, her father died one day protecting the family from rogues, and her mother died from an illness not long afterward. She was placed in the care of her uncle, who took up the role of protecting her. Unfortunately, about a year ago, she disobeyed her uncle’s orders after they got into a quarrel and wandered unknowingly into a huge series of explosions that hit the area close to where they were residing. One of the explosives went off a few feet away from her. The impact threw her against a wall, knocking her unconscious, and the fiery blast burned the left side of her face. When she woke up, she realized that she was alone and could no longer see out of her left eye. Ever since then, she has been on her own, trying to survive with half the sight she once had, and trying to find the last living relative she has ever known.

Her biggest regret is not listening to her uncle, and her biggest dream is becoming a healer.

Falcon can seem intimidating to people at first glance. He is tall, standing at around 6’2 or 6’3, and has a fit, muscular build. He’s the kind of guy that one would think twice about crossing. Falcon has somewhat paler skin that tans fairly easily in the warmer months. His straight black hair is shorter and usually a little ruffled. He has no beard, but there is some stubble on his chin and cheeks, giving him a rugged appearance. Falcon’s eyes are a sharp steel grey, often seen with a cold expression. Falcon has a few scars here and there, but he does have one particularly long, jagged scar on the inside of his right forearm. He has a gruff voice, which can boom out in strong and powerful tones.

Falcon is a rather sullen individual who tends to stay by himself. He never seems very welcoming at first, and often scares little ones away with his seemingly cold appearance and loner tendencies. Indeed, he is rather quiet, and he does enjoy spending long periods of time by himself, but there is more to him than meets the eye. One thing to watch out for is that he does hold grudges, but he only holds grudges against those who have truly done something to deserve it. Unfortunately, once someone loses his trust, it is immensely difficult to regain it, if they ever manage to regain it at all. However, he does have his good sides. For example, Falcon is very intelligent, and can get out of complex problems with ease. He is also a very good poet, but he has never told anyone that. Falcon may not admit it, but he does have a secret soft side. He cared deeply for his niece in the time he watched over her, and nothing broke his heart more than losing her. He will also drop everything immediately to help a kid in need, and he will protect his loved ones to the death. However, his apparent failure in protecting his niece has caused him to doubt his ability to protect, and he still blames himself for what happened on that fateful day.

History:
Conrad grew up in a large family on the outskirts of the city. As the eldest son, he helped his dad defend and provide for the family. He stayed with his parents and younger siblings until his parents died from a combination of illness and old age. Since his siblings were all grown up at the time, he no longer needed to watch over them. He left, striking out on his own until he received a message years later from his younger sister. Conrad hurried to his dying sister’s side, and after her death, he took her little daughter under his protection. They had a rocky relationship, as he had a difficult time with the fiery, independent personality of his niece. After they were separated, he searched for her unceasingly. During one of his searches, he came upon the Haven, where he has been residing ever since. At this point, he has despaired of ever finding his niece, and he blames himself for losing her and for breaking the promise he made to keep her safe.
