Tensions between them are typically heightened, at least from Talika`s perspective. Power is her main motivator and it is apparent to nearly everyone. - Thoughts on The Other Pack Talika has a deep-rooted hatred towards the newly formed assimilation of canines that she considers a mockery compared to wolves such as herself. She is a firm believer that they should have remained in the safety of their homes, even if it put their lives at risk. Talika does not view them as equals and often treats them in a manner similar to that she would an omega, whether that be by humilating or belittling them. When it comes to the members of her pack wanting to converse and side with them, Talika is swift to punish and ridicule, even if she oversteps her position. - Appearance Reference Image (@Tazihound; DA) Talika`s appearance is one that is considered unique amongst her fellow packmates, but solely because of her ancestors origins; they had not always lived in this specific region, giving her more tan and charcoal-hued pelt a unique color. She is approximately twenty-five inches tall and weighs approximately fify pounds. Compared to the average Eastern Timber Wolf, she is small and more lithe in appearance despite her position as the Beta Female. This lack of well-built muscle and size does not hinder her, but has proven to be quite useful on occassion when it comes to hunting and things unrelated to combat itself. Talika`s face is rather small and has a chiseled-like appearance to it, lacking a lot of cheek fur and ear fluff. Her left ear has a jagged scar running along its surface, a consequence she faced from defending her pack. Her canines, unsurprisingly, are blood- stained and often have remnants from hunts and fights within her mouth. She attempts to clean her mouth by chewing on antlers and bones from corpses of their prey, similar to that like a dog presumably would. Her bite strength is rather average compared to that of the regular Eastern Timber Wolf, yet she certainly knows how to use angles and certain weakpoints on the body as advantages in combat. Her body is lithe and more on the thin side, lacking muscle that most wolves have acquired over the years. This is mostly due to her young age, but it is also because she was the runt of her litter and has been at a disadvantage because of it. There are no scars or blemishes on her pelt, displaying a range of colors from black to tan. Her coat is similar to that of a sable German Shepard in color, but lacking hues of white. Talika`s legs are long and slender, being the most fluffy part of her body except her tail. This is the only part of her body that has evident muscle, especially due tohow often she travels across her pack`s territory and ensures everything is flawless. Her tail is a little longer than the average wolf`s and has thick, colorful pieces of fur hanging off of it that compliment her actual pelt itself. - Personality [Assertive] [Calculating] [Idealistic] [Intelligent] [Eloquent] [Envious] [Narcissistic] [Malicious] [Motherly] [Selfish] [Tenacious] Talika is a firm believer in that wolves are the superior canine race, having superior intelligence and wit compared to that of mere coyotes or dogs. She refuses to cooperate or even spare them a second of her time whenever they plead with her for it; Talika wants them to prove themselves worthy for her time and presence, given how they are viewed as inferiors in her eyes. Furthermore, she believes it is her duty as Female Beta to protect and uphold a certain standard within her pack, so she is often disdained or judged for her methods. It is uncommon for her to be generous and empathetic, often giving the worst punishments compared to her male counterpart. She has a sharp, calculating mind that often betrays her. Presumptions and biases are her downfall and often lead her astray; she often requires another to keep her in check regarding this. Impulsive and rash decisions are common due to her fiery, narcissistic personality and the manners in which she seeks to feel that adrenaline from having power and authority. Talika knows that she has a high rank compared to her other packmates and she never hesitates to flaunt or use it to her advantage. Despite her plethora of flaws, Talika has a soft spot for pups and younger wolves, taking on a more caring and motherly role for them. Her parents were not kind to her and she refuses to let the younger generation to feel the way she had: unwanted and cast aside. Talika also understands that they are in the learning stages of life, so she is not as harsh with them as she is with the adults in Escar; the only exception being the alpha himself, of course. Talika is not overly social nor tries to be, working behind the scenes and tending to her duties without drawing attention to herself. Of course, this does not include the times when she voices her opinions and makes it clear regarding where she stands on a certain matter; she does her job very well as the Female Beta, even if she is far too harsh. She enjoys peace and quiet, so she is often seen walking the Escar Territory to take in nature and the tranquility it provides. Her circle of friends is incredibly small and tight; she is rarely open to befriending new individuals. When it comes to her crush/mate, she is loving and selfless. Instead of being cruel and harsh with them, she is understanding and affevtionate. No matter what trials they face, she is willing to sacrifice her time to ensure that they get through it together. She thinks she isn't good enough for that high of a rank. She is currently trying to convince Berite to move her down to the Delta position. [] Thoughts on The Other Pack: Amaiah secretly thinks that the Warren Pack and the Escar Pack should unite into one large, welcoming band of dogs and wolves. She shares this idea with no one, even her brother, the Alpha, though she suspects that he knows everything that goes on in her head. Despite this, Amaiah is wary of the Escar pack. They are unwelcoming strangers, and Amaiah is defiant, but scared, of strangers. She stays away from them as best as she can. Appearance: Amaiah is a large, well-built dog with thick, rich fur. Her fur is thickest around her neck and on her tail. She has the shortest fur on her face, ears, legs, and her belly. She stands at 23 inches tall at the shoulders and weighs 69 lbs. Amaiah's almond-shaped eyes are a light chestnut color, intelligent and piercing. As for her coat, her fur is a tan, almost brown color. Her face's fur is tinged with black, mainly around her muzzle and the tips of her ears, but also tapering down between her eyes. Her neck and the base of her tail are also darker in complexion, while her legs get lighter as they go down. Her tail is very fluffy and soft, and she normally holds it in a relaxed position, nearly against her back legs. Amaiah's muzzle is shorter than most Sarplaninac's, and she has a slightly rounded forehead, which is sprinkled with small spots of darker hair. In summary, Amaiah is intimidating to look at, if you don't know her better. Personality: Despite looking tough and intimidating on the outside, Amaiah is actually quite the opposite. She is quiet, submissive, sensitive, protective, and kind. Since she doesn't talk very much, it is commonly assumed that she isn't very bright, but really, she is incredibly intelligent. Amaiah sees and thinks. She is not brash with her decisions. She will think things over before saying anything, and that is really the reason why she isn't talkative. She doesn't want to hurt others with her words and won't rush into anything. She remembers nearly everything that goes on around her. Amaiah has a way of quickly solving problems in her head and finding the best way to continue on. If something doesn't seem right or bothers Amaiah, she will worry about it and get extremelely quiet. Sometimes she will even get sick and have to stay lying down for days. When this happens, the best thing for her to do is talk to someone, but she won't bother other people with her problems. She thinks that they aren't worth other people's worry. Instead, she'll hide things in her heart until something breaks them out. Normally they burst out suddenly in floods of emotion and words. Amaiah is sensitive to others' feelings. If someone feels angry, she will too. If someone feels sad, Amaiah will feel dragged down by the weight of their grief. Amaiah also has dreams. Not regular, chasing-the-squirrel dreams. Amaiah has vivid nightmares. She hardly sleeps at night. Because of this, she has learned to get through the day with less then four hours of sleep. Even so, she is often found taking short, half-hour naps in the middle of the afternoon. Unlike most dogs of her breed, Amaiah isn't a guard dog. Instead, she prefers to observe, stay out of the way, and intervene only if it's absolutely necessary. She is shy and slightly wary of strangers at first, but she will eventually come around. After that, she can be as friendly as any other dog. She cares for her family and friends and will throw herself into danger to get them out of it. She thinks that they should have eyes on the other pack at all the times and be prepared for battle always just in case. - Appearance: (The dog in the image is a OC, CK Banjo, shorthair but we will use her as a ref for Arlayna) Arlayna stands comfortably at 28 inches = 71.12 cm, with long silk-like body hair. She is a lovely Brindle Fawn sable German Shepard. Her body hair is a little shorter than her tail hair, so it makes her tail look longer and by far more elegant. Arlayna has long, sharpened teeth of a dull white colour, her paw pads are a little darker than her darker points. Arlayna is well muscled with a beautiful form, straight back and a steep almost 90 degree bend in her hind legs.
When moving, you can see Arlayna's powerful muscles under her silky coat, her strength and youth apparent. Her eyes are a beautiful light hazel with lighter flecks of gold, in certain light (dawn, sunset etc.) her eyes can look pure gold or like a ring of gold around her pupil.
She has a straight head and a slight curve in her nose (still straight) her head isn't overly long, but does give off a strong and intelligent look. She has long and strong ears that stand up and don't drop.
Her Fawn sable coat can look like liquid gold in certain lights (such as above, sunset, dawn etc.) and her dark brindle often helps her hunt/ blend in. Often creating a rippling leaf effect.
