its sad though because these old people dont ever get their feet done till they take the horses to the track where the boarding facility and trainers take care of it. all the horses are fat and healthy well some are too fat and foundering and ive found a fuulllll side job of trimming their horses. its so severe

Welcome to the CQE Club's “In The Spotlight 174” Contest!

(If this looks like good fun, and you would like to join the CQE Club please visit our club page to apply. It's easy and you'll have a great time! )

Each month we have this contest to highlight a group of horses &/or foals. The theme is determined by either the Club or the previous months' winners.

This month's Theme is “Blue Monday” (celebrated this year on January 15th)

(Blue Monday is the name given to a day in January (typically the third Monday of the month) said by a UK travel company to be the most depressing day of the year. The concept was claimed to have been calculated determining the date using an "equation" that takes into account weather conditions in the Northern Hemisphere and the mental letdown from the previous holidays.(Wikipedia)

It is also the name of a few really good songs!

Grab up all your BLUE and have fun with it!

Rules:

All entries must be in by Friday the 19th of January Noon HEE time and then a voting page will be set up to choose the winner. This month the winners will be chosen after voting ends on January 27th (noon) Prizes will be sent before Roll Over to year 175.
1. Your Horse, Pony or Foal must be living and owned by you upon entry into the contest. Any horses will be photographed & saved upon entry if they are 18 or older. Entries must be owned by you during the entire time of the contest.

2. Each horse must have these items:

A. Background of your choice.

B. 2 pieces of any shade of blue tack

C. 1 pieces of décor that has any blue in it (flowers, Blue Roan foal décor, Coatimundi, etc)

I had to use Blue because his name was fitting for the theme. He's enjoying a midnight stroll through the field with his coordinating saddle pad, leg wraps and boots. Blue is followed by a gaggle of gossipy butterflies that like to hang out with him for no apparent reason.

Blue Pearl is my chosen entry. Although normally I'm not a huge fan of the pearl coloured horses I do really like it on the AA's, and this one with his blue roan base is one of my favourites!
