Silly goose? I'm offended :) Critique. Hmm... Eye. It's currently only one colour and shade, making it rather monotone. Try adding some shadows and highlights of the same colour, but different shades. Patterns. They're very, I dunno, sharp, I guess. Don't ask me how to fix it lol . But I love the little pink snip on the nose. And the messier braid :)

Amhain Dull Liath said: This is a major WIP, but it gives the idea, I think. Im trying to recreate a scene I wrote for my angel character, Lucinra. This isn't what I imagined or anything--it's very far off--but I am NO WHERE near the skill level that it'd take to actually make it, so this is close enough lol. (sort of hate it eek) I think what I really need help with is making those wings look less like hairy clumps, but I'm open to help on anything. I mean, clearly I need it xD (all credit to me. can put my number on it if need be)
That's a cool WIP! Did you sketch an outline of the wings first? If not, I think it will help to nail down the general shape of the wing you want before painting the base colors in. Also, is the wing design based on anything in particular? If you're interested in that sort of look, swans and great white egrets might provide useful references.

Could anyone good with horse anatomy help me out with a bit of advice/critique? I've been working on a bio image and am painting over the body. The shape of the eyes (and the region around the eyes in general) looks really off to me, and I would appreciate any pointers! (This is just a crop of the full image.) https://lensdump.com/i/jRwAok

Thats absolutely stunning Denny! I think youre right. The eye on the left hand side is a little jutting out, so maybe round that off. And the eye in full view is a little too skinny and pointy. If you look at a real horse's eye, you can see it has a more spherical shape You actually put in more of a human eye with the almond shape. I hope this helps! :) Please let me know if you have ANY questions

Thanks for the pointers, Fleur!! :) Now that you've mentioned it, I can definitely see the direction in which I went wrong. I tried my best to fix it, but I think this is something I'll have to practice a while. Ah well, improvement is a slow burn!
