But yes, I think you're right that it flies under the radar a lot. I was fascinated to learn, for example, that most of the American Cream Draft Horses are now understood to be mostly champagnes and not cream dilutes.

I know the general "Horse Coat Color Panel" thru UCDavis tests for it along with the other dilutes.

I feel Ch falls under the radar a lot unless you've already dealt with it or are knowledgeable about it. Do majority of gene testing automatically test for Ch when testing other dilutes?
New Road Stables
02:25:05
Right! So I was incorrect; it is how it works in real life. (At least with cremellos - how neat that no one's bred the other DD Ch variants in the real world yet.)

Ooh that's interesting! I guess because they already have such light skin, you wouldn't be able to see any mottling

Lol yes, something new to learn every day :)

Oh, that's very helpful. Thanks for sharing. Makes sense to me too now that I just looked up double cream dilutes on the International Champagne Horse Registry (ICHR). They know of only two DD champagnes, both cremellos, and both horses are visually indistinguishable from cremello.

Oooh I found this note though:
Single dilute horses will show pearl genes if there is one present; Double Dilutes will hide pearl (and also Champagne) because their coat is already maximally diluted so the other dilution factor will not have an effect. They will not show up as having silver in their name either, but I believe smokey cremes, perlinos and brown cremes with silver have white tails in the game.
New Road Stables
02:14:50
Yeah, nice find! I do wonder now about all the perlinos and such I've free ranged in the past :o

This is the first double dilute with Ch I've come across so far so it threw me off about all my other possible Ch DD that I've missed. The game guide doesn't specify Ch on DD
New Road Stables
02:08:52
Mayhem, that is very odd! It certainly doesn't in real life. I breed only champagnes and just looked through all my gene tested cream-champagne combos and cannot find any double creams, so I think you may be correct that that is how it works in-game.

I'm trying to brood out this girlie, she's 300k but I'd be happy to do 200-250k for members of this club depending on the match. I have a match planned already but I made a lot of bad financial decisions this month and would rather not have to pay for a Pennywise match on top of that lmao.
As usual, I have many other tobiano mares available for brood! I'm happy to work out a deal for members of this club. Just shoot me a PM :)

Just bred this cutie! 😍
Not much for ratings, but I'm up for the challenge of breeding her up to better ratings.

Turned out to be EEE but was 4/6 up on Week 4. He's a TB that carries Ch,Cr,Spl. Not getting my hopes up but was pretty happy to see that training. Maybe he'll turn out to be good.

Hey guys, I'm looking to get into WBs and was wondering if anyone has a nice WWW WB mare for brood in 160. I have a total of 400k on this account, and I'm hoping to only spend 100-150k on the brood so that I can afford a straw to a good stud and possibly an item as well.

Auctioning off a gorgeous SEW Tobiano TB filly. She doesn't quite fit my program but I'm sure she'll help someone out :)

This RO was a big fat flop but I did just catch this pretty thing so. A win is a win.
