I don't know if any advice can be given on this. There's little if any info at all. I wouldn't consider buying a horse simply because I like it. Too many factors to take into consideration.
I see your logic. These horses were brought in about six weeks ago. Since I'm basically the assistant trainer, I ride each of them at least three days a week. I know it's absolutely not possible for me to get all of them, but since I'm leasing out two of my horses right now I only have the pony I'm training and an older ex-jumper that I kinda just chill with. So now I'm looking for a potential horse that I can do the big stuff with in a few years. All of the horses are great prospects and could be perfect, but I'm not sure if I should wait and see if a better opportunity comes up. Edited at February 19, 2021 12:58 PM by Memory Lane Equine

Personally on the first match I'd like that stud to be a little stronger in Str/Mv than he is, but otherwise the match isn't too bad. Her Scp compliments him nicely.
Same thing on the second match. I wish he was a little stronger in Hrt for her. But going with that match wouldn't hurt at all, he does have some strength there as it is.
The Spd concerns me a little on the last one. She isn't weak in it but I don't see as much strength from her to counteract his weakness as I'd like. I myself would find a different stud. Then again, I've been told I'm picky with matching, so maybe I shouldn't be the one commenting on these lol.

Sean, you say "either one could be perfect." If you're willing to give them the training, and you could comfortably afford the expenses of another horse, why wait? You like these horses already. If they're really pulling at you and it's not just the "ohmygod I love ponies" kind of wanting, I'd say go for it. Just keep your goals and cash flow in mind.

You are supposed to be picky in whatever you can allow yourself to be :)

Another thing you should think of: rating breeding is expensive. To be able to afford broods and studs, you need a source of income. Like an EWW mare brood it's like 200k if it's cheap. If you want to buy one you would be looking from like 400k to 1 mill even, depending on the breed. That's why the best thing is showing. There are multiple guides in the forums so you can see how showing works.

Anyone can relate of wanting these powers when you love a watermelon and bring home a heavy one and spend time & effort fighting with it in sink to wash it, then finding a proper sized plate, cover the countertop with paper towels to not splash, get a knife, that turns out it needs to be sharpened...
