How long does it usually take for a auctioned horse to go to your barn.?

Fair enough. The only thing that's weird about Ps is that they can stall out at level 9 and show for multiple weeks at average to good until finally reaching schoolmaster. I don't see that happening much with higher ratings.

Perhaps breeding off the LBs has a big influence.
I can only say what has worked very well for me.

Interesting. I show mainly Es and Ws just because I breed for LBs, but my E/P combo horses almost always outperform the Ws in terms of winnings, and they tend to make a lot of money within their P discipline.

yes that makes sense too munn.. i've got a few WEE combo geldings i figure will do better long term. might be good to have a balance though and just FR the P's when they stop doing well. :/

What's you're reasoning on that Munn? They can still get 1-7 place pretty easily.

While Ps may stay in the money longer, when they get up in the higher levels, they tend to not break even with the entry fees.

Many big showing stables prefer P geldings because they don't level up as fast as E & W horses and they stay in the money longer.

Aww I'm sorry Lumeer :/

Noni, you and I both! Hopefully it'll happen. I so far am not having too much trouble with Patn-2, and I'm slowly increasing my amount of silver KNNs each year, but it's the prl I'm worried about. I have 2-3 prl mares, but one is going to retire soon, and none of them are particularly decent producers :b

Aww Kass. At least it's not both that he's weak in!
I'm definitely down for brood trades in the future. Spread the silver!

True, that woulda required a geld LOL.
Awesome! I've got some random colors in my E combos, I'm sure you could find one you like. Also got some quality gals in there. ;)
Yes! Spread the silver! xD

I really need to put my E Combo KNN with random PEP/PPP boys for the genes and breed up.. but I keep getting damn EE KNN Combo boys that I use my E Combo KNN to test them with. >.<

I guess I'm lucky the only EE KNNs I've bred were fillies :b
I DO have an EEP Zz champagne KNN stud though! He's an ok producer, but he does produce silver.

I've been very tempted to geld Leo, but he's my first EEE KNN, so he'll stay in tact. For now lol

I've noticed you like Star Skye! He's quite popular due to his rare strengths, but it also means heaps of typical weak PEP ladies visit him each year. He hasn't been very nice to me though so I don't mind as long as I earn ebs from it.

I have two EEP prl mares here, but for now I won't be focusing on breeding for prlprl as there are no top studs with it around. Hopefully it will keep spreading in my lines and one day be useful.

I've never actually kept an EEP/PEE colt, because of that very temptation you have Kass. Mine usually sell but if they don't they can be good geldings. I made on exception for Star's full brother Wishbone as he's EPE, and he's actually my second highest LB stud and an EEE/EEP/PEE producer. Way more solid than Star but he's not getting used much, I guess the P puts people off.

Gah!
These fickle KNN horses!
Just tracked my KNN girls...There are at least 4 PPP girls I bred that I kept just cause I had nothing when I came back to game.
They ALL are up to 2 bars in all traits in week 5. One of them even had a bar up in week 4!

Meanwhile, I have EPP/EEP combo girls at the same week 5 that are still at only 1 bar in one, two, three, four traits.....ugh.

I know there is a range within each rating, but dang, so many mixed signals when the PPP are training much better than the EEP combos even!

Now to go track the few KNN boys I have...

I have a soft spot for EE Combo KNN Boys. Himalaya has been on the LB ever since he was little, and he's one of my best boys so far. Forte was also a good boy (rip).

I mostly keep them for the E girls and to get some color into my lines without dropping to PEP combo boys. They're also nice as side earners via studding. All E Combo Colts automatically get gelded though.

If I see a colorful EE Combo Colt/2yo for sale I'll usually jump on it and gene test to see what I'm working with. Lol! They're fun to experiment with. Sometimes you'll get a decent one, other times you'll just have them for the color in hopes that they'll throw at least one PEP combo color filly. xD

I used PPP KNN to start up my program, but once I was consistently getting PEP combos I dropped them. I do sell them though. I figure they'll be lots of help for starters, as they come from built up lines. :)

Yep, of course.
I had gotten tot he point of not keeping even most EPP combo girls before. But, starting over.... sigh.
Interesting to note, the strong PPP training 2 yr olds are all Freyr offspring!

I should have offered the EEP capture boys for sale....
I just gelded and put them in my showstring.....
