They probably suck though. I have mostly quest mares in the PPP-EEP range and some show gelds. You are probably right it's got something to do with the amount of breeders

Also relative to how large (100 people) the leaderboards are, I don't think there's a gigantic pool of people to be on them. I think there's most people I've even seen online is like 350. So it kinda makes sense

You do have quite a lot of AAs alive that you've bred, I suppose those stats add up

I'm on the KNN and AA leaderboards somehow. No clue how that's supposed to make sense

Yeah I think its the colour/gelds/random keepers that drag LB placings down as it's done on the average. If you only breed a few high quality foals a year you'd probably do better than someone breeding 10 WWWs but also 600 PPPs they keep back

Fodder foals get deleted during the following RO. So they stick around for a montg

But fodder foals get released/deleted quite promptly don't they? Whereas geldings stick around for like.. a year

Do we have some place in the forum where Bravery questions can be "scientifically" discussed?
I'd love to see if there is some system to the seemingly sheer madness of Bravery breeding :D
Questions such as "what exactly makes a horse world class in Bravery", "what are the traits of a brave horse - facing obstacles successfully, good morale boost by overcoming them, finding pictures" and maybe even if there is a system of heritage in these traits.
I am at least half convinced it's all random, but I'm willing to look into it ^^

I think this is as good a place as any. :)

I've always just assumed that there is a hidden number, and each rating represents a range of numbers. When two horses are bred their numbers are somehow averaged, and RF is added.

I once asked Eve if round penning was trackable, like if some horses were likely to complete different round pen tools faster than others. She said no. I do think that AD rating has some impact on how horses land on the bravery LB, though.

I'm in at assuming that there must be hidden numbers that conclude if a horse is World Class or sub. Like with other breeding, RF seems to have more downward spectrum than upward (like, it seems likely that RF can be anything between -10 and +5 rather than -5 / +5)
If we assume that Bravery does consist of several stats (like the disciplines), than what are the stats?
Starting Morale seems to be a random factor, so I would rule that one out.
Maybe the three stats are the options to overcome obstacles (Nudge, Spur, Stick). I've noticed that I can find out my horses preferred option by seeing how much morale they get from using it or, if they bail, how much they loose.
But maybe the stats are the also the potential to take a pic successfully, for it is always a bad sign for an unrated horse if they are at 100% morale and still are fidgeting when taking a common pic.
So, maybe the stats are "Finding pics" or "Finding obstacles" (maybe both?), "Taking pics" and "Overcoming Obstacles"?
Can we learn something from the Bravery Awards here?
As for rating, I guess that AD horses are bred to more often than badly rating horses. I would always choose a good stud for mares at least SSP...
/edit
Oh, Addition: has anyone ever tested if their horses have different preferred options for different obstacles? I have a notion that one of my W mares is generally fine with Nudge, but that I mustn't nudge her for rivers and ravines. But that may be coincidence or imagination?

I'd actually love to look more in depth into the bravery/exploring aspects of the game!
I, myself, have done small tests and noted a few things here and there that I think have some sort of meaning, but I'd love to discuss anything else :D
Also, I'll be doing my monthly clear out soon and would love to donate any mares/studs to the club if they're deemed worthy enough. If anyone is interested in any horses, please just mail me! I'd love to help out any other members within the club :)

We all know we have time to kill - let's do it with something we love *and* can feel like we can achieve something here! :P
Feel welcome to barge in any ideas, I'm looking forward to them!
