Min, that they are xD any yeah, I'd see how the Waterford does before the Dutch gag, fingers crossed it'll be just what you need!! I'm, thankfully, lucky that despite her issues, she works perfectly in a snaffle as long as you don't let her do whatever she wants lol 😂

Myth, oh god 🤣😭 the worst I've seen is laying down in the middle of the arena all tacked up, but never with a whole cart 😅

🤣🤣🤣 Mares are always interesting!! Thank you haha, I resisted for quite a while as I was hoping we could sort it just with training but she's so bloody strong I need something in there she can't lean on as easily. Her old owners had her in a Dutch gag which I do have in the tack room but im not a fan of them particularly

Min, xD I love her name though!! Duchess can be the same xD she's absolutely fine with cars, motorcycles, screaming flailing toddlers, but god forbid you put a baby cow in her vicinity or anything that moves 😭 thankfully she doesn't bolt as bad as the other namesake of this stable used to 🤣🤣 and Good luck once that Waterford comes!! Hopefully it'll really help!

Lol DD, yeah Minnie's not exactly perfect bless her. Bombproof when it comes to big scaries like diggers and stuff, but spooks at rogue leaves and occasionally picks a direction and charges off at a pace of her choosing 🤣 She's got a waterford on the way which will hopefully give her less opportunity

Would this lead to a club "studbook" somewhere?

You could think of it that way. I would post a list of studs with enforcable breeding requirements on the club page and in this topic. Club members would not be required to register their studs by any means, but I would only enfore the breeding reqs on the ones that are registered.

I do like the idea! It'll be interesting to see if this impacts the LBs at all.
Would you do broods at all?

Two thoughts from my side:

- Sounds like a lot of bureaucracy - since it's a "Club only"-solution anyway, why not try to make it voluntary?

- I try to bring some "basic bravery" to my PPP+ RIDs - that's already a challenge because most RID stallions already have EEP/EEE requirements (and horrific prices), so the pool for possible matches is very, very limited. Therefore I can't support further limitations at the moment. I see the point for older breeds, but requirements are a serious problem for RID breeding - even more so if you're no premium member and/or relatively new to the game.

I'm down for this. This should encourage more people to stud their boys out. In the past this is a reason why some of the stallions in the top 20's weren't bred out. When you have a smaller breeding pool to choose from that's a bit counterproductive. So I can see this as being a good solution, assuming it's respected.

I hadn't thought about it, but I suppose I could include broods.

Question for you all. Do you think the "registration" part is necessary? The purpose of that is to give me proof that the minimum reqs were in fact posted (in the horse notes and elsewehere) at the time the horse was bred. But if you all are comfortable, I could ditch the registration thing, and if you claim you had a note that someone ignored I would take you at your word.

If we ditch the registration bit I would be more than happy to enforce for broods as well, though it obviously only works if the person using the brood is a member. If we keep the registration bit you would have to register the mare so that there is proof that a minimum req was posted. I don't know how feasible this would be, as it would depend on how many of you would try to register mares.

Could you please clarify your first paragraph? When you say "make it voluntary," are you saying that you want to keep the freedom to ignore the requested req?
