And sometimes (even if you're upset about the rating) you could sell for more then you'd get for FRing. Or even just geld (if male) or put on CS (if female) and make a show horse
personally free range stallions under SSS and mares under PPP (with the exception of SEE combos) - later I free range any mares lower than PEE combos that train poorly

Hey everyone! Nice to meet you. Im really excited about this club Ive always liked PONs but never really bred them until now. So I thought id ask for some advice. I purchased a few PPP/PEP mares to play around with but my best chance of breeding an EEE PON is from this girl.

I bought her unrated and was lucky enough to get a PEE! Shes given me a PPP and PEP foal so far which is good, but I want better. Now I didnt use any items and I dont know every trick to matchmaking. Plus there arent many strong EEE PON stallions to choose from. I found that a lot of the LB PONs were still EE combo. Im planning to send her to a very proven stallion this upcoming year so I want to do everything I can to get a good foal out of it. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated :) thank you!

Hello, Chidori :) That's very lovely mare you have and she definitely has potential! I would highly recommmed tracking her training that way you can find out her weaknesses and strengths. The secret (not really) to matching horses is all in their traits. You'll want to find a stallion that is strong in what she's weak in and weak in what she's strong in.

For example
If a mare is weak in movement and speed, you'll want to find a stallion that is strong in movement and speed. If she's strong in intelligence, it's best to find a stallion that is weak in intelligence but strong in movement and speed.

Judging from her week 4, she's strong in speed, so finding a stallion that is weak in speed may help. But since her training is only tracked to week 5, you won't know her weaknesses.

Another recommendation is to use ABLB stallions. They're the best producers we have on HEE! Using ABLB stallions will better your chances of a good foal, if matched well. The good thing about PONs is that we can breed to any breed. Just make sure you find stallions that are short. 17+ hands is too tall! You could get lucky but stick to 16.3 hands or shorter :)

Hope this helped! - Aero

Note - Using breeding items will help as well ;)

Thanks Aero! I only have her tracked to week 5 because nothing has changed since then:) If she goes up week 8 I'll add a new remark. Hopefully she's not weak in anything XD

And it's a good idea to try a different breed. I'm a little scared I won't get a PON but I think I can find a better match if I do. Thank you for the advice!

Hey, Chidori!

If you're looking for some short ABLB boys, I'd highly recommend Mr Magister or Firenza. They're both fairly short, and have thrown very good PON babies for me! My own EEE PON is from Mr Magister!

I wish you luck with your girly :D

My RO has been decent. One EE PON girl, two EE SH girls.
One of my PON mares also debuted fairly high on the PONLB, and she only threw a PPE filly! I'm hopeful for the future!
