12:42:21 Hummer @Angels, he had chronic diarrhea and they thought he had inflammatory bowel disease, but his ultrasound came back negative. I think we tried a few different foods, but found a "cure" with Hill's Science Diet Biome. |

12:40:16 [800+brindles] Angel Maybe if it is allergies you could switch to raw if that's an option. Maybe discuss it with your vet and if you decide to try it you can message me and I can send over all my research for the right ratios and what needs to be included :) |
12:39:12 Vecc - TBs You dress your riders with it |
12:35:53 Hummer My dog is allergic to pork in the sense it makes his stomach upset. |
12:35:29 Vecc - TBs My daughter's dogs are allergic to salmon, so the food she feeds them can't have any of that in it. |
12:34:04 Hummer He doesn't have any other symptoms except licking himself a lot. He is on a prescription diet, so not sure changing foods can be done. |
12:33:39 [800+brindles] Angel It could also be an allergy to some ingredient in his food. My dog mainly got hot spots from chicken in dog food. He isn't allergic to raw chicken, but he will get itchy if I put turkey in his raw food so I stay away from that |
12:30:36 Hummer @Angels, I used to give him it, but stopped. Maybe I should try it again. |
12:30:05 [800+brindles] Angel You can buy it super cheap in almost any store that has a pet section |
12:29:36 [800+brindles] Angel If it is dry skin the best thing to do is give him salmon oil. My dog did start getting a bit dry skin once I started raw, but I put salmon oil in about a quarter of the month supply of his food and his skin is super healthy |
12:27:28 Hummer My dog licks his paws and groin a lot and I wonder if it is from dry skin. He is going to the vet in two weeks so I will ask, but I wonder if I should be giving him a supplement of something. |
12:26:59 [800+brindles] Angel He is a completely different dog |
12:26:24 [800+brindles] Angel I love it. My dog is a beagle and he has always been super lazy and his coat has always been greasy and he has always been a bit of a smelly dog, but since switching to raw he is so soft and clean and he has so much energy. He also always had skin issues (hot spots and dandruff) but they are gone now. It is a lot more work and a bit more expensive, but definitely worth it |
12:23:56 Hummer @Angels, how do you like it? Have you noticed any positive changes? |
12:21:49 [800+brindles] Angel Yes I do. I make up a month at a time in bags and freeze it |
12:21:27 Hummer @Angels, do you feed raw? |
12:20:36 [800+brindles] Angel Only took 2 hours to make my dog's food this time instead of 4 :) |
