I have 1 EEP and 2 PEE's I'm seriously considering gelding. Would it be more beneficial to keep training them in eventing or to change it to one of the other disciplines? I've been on this game awhile now and the showing has always puzzled me :/

My top earning horses are all AD. SD on the other hand is easier to show. However once they reach schoolmaster level at age 13-15 and you switch them to anotehr discipline it takes ages for them to train up. So I'd leave them training in AD

Yeah like Megan's Meadows said, SD is easier to enter show wise, one set of dates to watch rather than 3. It's really personal preference. I much prefer SD (due to entering shows), they train faster as well (though they also level up faster so not always an advantage). In terms of how long it takes them to train up when SD geldings become schoolmaster at 13-15 years, I find if they're original discipline was XC or SJ that's not a problem cause they're probably level 6 or 7 already in the opposite.
If you already show AD and they're already training in it, I don't see any reason to swap them, if you prefer SD then I'd consider swapping them.
