Most my pms are without subject line, you just open them the same way as any other |

There's nothing to click on though... It's just a red 'new' alert, and I can't click it to open the message. |

I think she means there is nothing to click on :P Like they just put a space in the title
There is no way sadly, message the stable who sent you the PM and ask if she can send it again. This time with a proper title ;)
